I have listened to the first three stand-alone books in the first Boxset of this series somewhat out of order and that made absolutely no difference at all. I've loved every one of them and can honestly recommend them. Here are my voluntary and unbiased reviews of the promotional copies of the audiobooks which I listened to. 1. Mistletoe Mayhem Sawyer and Devon should have married before he enlisted to fight in the war but she didn't want to be left at home while he was away in the army. He comes home injured and she realizes she made the biggest mistake of her life by not marrying him so just how is she going to make this happen now? Linda Bridey will tell you how in this beautifully crafted tale which had me captivated and entranced. I must confess that I seem to be a bit addicted to these stories and am always happy to gorge myself on them. Mary Ann Weathers does a good job with her competent narration. 2. After the Storm This time we read/listen to the romantic story of Tim and Renee and how they try desperately to keep their love for each other and life itself alive while life and various horrid men try their damnedest to prevent that from happening. Thank goodness for the happily-ever-after or I would have been a wreck! Tim and Renee come across as strong, yet caring people and I loved that about them. I was also highly amused by the antics of Skippy - he is just so cute! Linda Bridey has again managed to capture the essence of life and love in this spellbinding story and Mary Ann Weathers has read it very pleasingly. 3. Spirit Journey This audiobook had two interlinked books in it, both about members of the Lakota tribe. In these stories the author never shies away from life or living. She tells it "like it is" and at the same time makes it interesting and un-put-down able. Both are emotion evoking in that one seems to personally go through the exact emotion that is appropriate for the character at that moment. That is brilliant writing! The first story, Spirit Journey, told about the tribe's spiritual journey which was amazingly captivating and also tells of the blossoming love between Skippy and Peanut and her daughter, Annie. He is shy and she is cute but strong and she knows a good man when she finally finds him. The second story, Gossamer Threads, is about Joey and his deep and all-consuming love for his wife, Snow Song. It also tells about Runner and his relationship with the tribe and the community and touches on the budding relationship between Jaylin and Eric and of the relationship between Rory and Kyle. There are a few surprises in this story and they teach us that although we can't control what other people do, we can take responsibility for our own actions. I found both tales interesting and quite educational while being wonderfully entertained. The narration was good with interesting voice-acting by Mary Ann Weathers.
In author Linda Bridey's earlier Montana Mail Order Bride series, a town tries to save its future one mail order bride at a time. This book sees the characters of the original series, Dean-Seth-Marcus Samuels, as senior citizens as their grandchildren deal with WWI and romance in Montana.

I can honestly say that I never became board while reading about Dawson! I was sad when I came to the end of the books, I would love to read more about Dawson, the Dryers and the Lolita Camp. I loved how everyone and everything stood for and were about what is Right! Thank you for the wonderful time I spent each day In Dawson!!!
I have truly enjoyed reading the entire series. The stories are compelling, heartbreaking and fun. The humor is delightful and keeps the pages turning. You are a wonderful story teller. Thank you. I hope you will be continuing this delightful saga.
Oh boy! This one was rough! Between the war years and the heartbreak in some of the families, I kept the Kleenex handy! Loved it and can't wait to read on! Great read!!!
As always you did a very good job with this series and I really enjoyed reading it. And would recommend your books to anyone interested in a clean and entertaining read!
I love continuing stories like this. I also enjoy the fact that 2 series have come together. Never would I have imagined Shadow's daughter and Joe's son meeting and marrying. Looking forward to more good storylines in this series.
Another fun read from Linda Bridey! I enjoyed the 3 stories in this book. I liked the way the author wove her other series with this one by joining a young couple, one from Echo and the other from Dawson. It was a fun element.
It said that homosexuality is normal. It is not normal . It is just sad that the author has ruined how I feel about her by putting wrong things in her books
Dawson Chronicles Box set Books 1-3 Linda Bridey, author
Love this series. Great stories of family and home. I especially enjoyed how Ms. Bridey merged her Echo Canyon Brides series with this series in the third book.
I was gifted the box set from the author. I leave this review voluntarily.
These stories are real of the characters, their heartache, disappointment and love. Meet the families of the Dawson , Dobson and Lolita Camp. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
