Florist Terri Martin lives a calm and peaceful life. Maybe too calm and too peaceful because she can’t remember the last time she was in a relationship.

Terri calls Bad Boys for Hire to book herself a date for her thirtieth birthday party, but before she can hire one, she meets Ryker Slade, a biker hiding from his motorcycle club.

Old vendettas resurface and soon, Terri has more than she can handle when she learns that her and Ryker’s love is as doomed as Romeo and Juliet’s.

Ryker thinks he has a way out, but can Terri escape her fate, or will she find her lover dead before she wakes?

Bad Boys for Hire are fun and exciting stories where love is unexpected, but always delicious. They can be read standalone, but for greater enjoyment, please be sure to check out the other books in the series.

DNF!

Hated the heroine, seriously she was an awful excuse of a human being.

I flicked through it a bit to see if it got better, it did not, it just got ridiculous.

As far as I can see the heroine is basically a person who feels she can shout at homeless people to "get a job" because she is a twat of epic proportions. Or as she thinks, homeless people are "everything that is wrong with America". Not because the very fact there are homeless people is wrong, but no, these people just want something for nothing and should "get a job and pay taxes like the rest of us"so she shouts at them just "for kicks"

Then she offers said person a job, for one day, then offers a meal to said person, realises she was wrong about this particular homeless person, as she fancies the pants off him, and decided she would sleep with him as really he ought to be grateful she offers him a meal and a bed or something.

Not to mention the whole weirdness about when she was 13 and the hero was 10!!

Dialogue was bloody cringe worthy.

Seriously upset with myself I bought 2 more in the series before I even opened this one.

I voluntarily reviewed an audio version of the book.

I don't even know where to start. Motorcycle Club rivalries, star-crossed lovers, faked deaths - there was SO MUCH going on in this book. I hate to use this analogy again, but it was like a telenovela hopped up on meth. From an odd history that includes a 10 year old boy feeling up a teenage girl that leads to a blood feud, a mother hell bent on marrying off her daughter to anyone before her 30th birthday, to a faux funeral - turned shoot out - turned sting - turned surprise wedding, there were so many unbelievable twists and turns and I just don't know what to think. I had to keep listening, just to find out what was going to happen next. And the sex scenes were blazing. But so much of the plot and dialogue was downright cringeworthy. The story is very VERY creative. I think if you go into it considering it to be a comedy or satire, you may enjoy it more, because some of the plot points make it very difficult to take the story seriously.

Wowza! I woke up way early and couldn't get back to sleep so I decided to give this a listen. Almost four hours passed by without me noticing. I listened, enthralled. The ups and downs, twists and turns had me feeling like I was on a roller coaster. The spicy parts kept me warm on this chilly Alaska morning. This was the first audio book of Rachelle Ayala's that I have listened to. At the end of it I laid there thinking about it versus a print, (or kindle), version. I came to the conclusion that I really enjoyed listening to this one. Normally I pick print. The narrator did a good job. He didn't put me to sleep even though I was laying in my bed. I would definitely listen to him again.

This is a wildly unforgettable yet purely honest love story that will obliterate the strong defenses around your well-guarded heart. What a true whirlwind of a romance that wonderfully overflows with such inspiring depth of heart and soul! While your head is spinning to catch up with the fast-paced journey that our beautiful characters are speeding down, your soul can feel the long desired connection at last being made and completed. Their unexpectedly sour meeting entwines their lives irrevocably and permanently in spite of the secrets and truths they uncover. Nothing can deter love from following its path to its destination. It will walk perilously and heedlessly into the darkest of nights with confidence that when the sun shines again it will be brighter and more beautiful than ever before.

Terri has fallen into a comfortable and familiar routine with her life. She knows what she can expect and what not to expect. Getting her hopes up will only lead to unnecessary heartbreak, so she stays in the confines of the known. One hasty and very uncharacteristic decision is all it takes to thrust her into the unknown that is both exhilarating and terrifying. She is left staring into the mesmerizing eyes of a handsome stranger who rocks the very foundation of her calm and boring life. Ryker lives life on his terms, and he makes no excuses or apologies for it. When he finds himself facing a fiercely breathtaking woman named Terri, he had no idea how she will transform his world. The only thing he knows is that she is going to take him on the ride of his life, and he isn’t about to miss a second of it. Will Terri run away from the mystery and danger that Ryker will undoubtedly bring into her sedate life, or will she finally listen to her heart and take control of her life by allowing herself to feel for perhaps the very first time?

Watching Ryker and Terri’s paths literally collide into each other made my heart sing with unrestrained joy. To be able to watch someone truly open their eyes to what life has lovingly presented to them and decide to accept it with no holds barred is a spectacular privilege to behold. It is much easier to pass on an opportunity in order to keep your heart safe, but then you will always wonder what if for the rest of your days. Even at the cost of losing what you desire the most, we should never fear to take the chances that are given to us. What kind of life would be we live if we let all of the good parts of it pass up by? Never let other people and especially your fear control and dictate your every move. Instead let your life be filled with the bliss of promise, the hope of another sunrise, and the contentment of unwavering peace.

There is no limit to the beauty, the heart, and the creativity of Rachelle Ayala. She is truly a literary master that fills our worlds with beautifully endless possibilities that stimulate and captivate your imagination and your very soul. Each word speaks peace, hope, and love into weary hearts that seek such a well-spring to quench an undying thirst. Without hesitation and with unfailing confidence, I strongly recommend this author’s books for any reader both voracious and casual. You will easily find something that will appeal and thoroughly entertain.

Ryker is an ex-marine and ex-biker down on his luck. He never had any plans of coming home but after an injury that got him out of the service, he returned and now can't find a job and is living in a barn doing odd jobs and panhandling when he has to.

Terri is a florist. She is about to turn 30, is a bit overweight and has a secret past. She can be quite outspoken and harsh at times. Her friend is getting married and she and a group of friends are working on wedding plans. Terri is a florist, one is a baker, another a photographer, they all work in the wedding planning field. One day at a weekly planning meeting they see a hot man panhandling and Terri approaches him with harsh words. so she ends up offering him a job for the afternoon not thinking he would show.

I love Rachelle Ayala. Her stories range from sweet, to moderately sexy to this one that turns up the heat. I loved Ryker. I liked that Terri is not your ordinary sweet, perfect leading lady. She is quite the opposite. He is a broken man. There are lot of shocking twists and the story keeps you turning the page. My mouth dropped open several times. I even had to say WTF at the end. It was a shock but AMAZING. There is lots of sex. It's very steamy.
If you like florists, ex-marines, biker gangs, bad boys, strong, feisty women, larger women, twists, and steamy sex you will love this!

Love is immortal between Ryker and Terri

Ms. Rachelle Ayala almost gave me a heart attack while reading Bad Boys for Hire:Ryker. She knows how to tackle your nervousness. If you have not read her writings, I am not sure what take you so long. Ryker and Terri romance started when they were kids. Ryker is Terri's first kiss. They meet again and rekindle their romance unexpectedly.

I am so mad that I need to put my Nook down as I have to work this morning. Once you started reading this book, there is no way you can put it down. You will LOVE Ryker. If you love military and their heroism, wait when you read this book. You will adore them the most.

Terri is a funny girl surrounded with funny best girl friends as well. I LOVED their friendship. This book is a laugh out loud, suspense and most of all very hot book to read. It is the first series of the Bad Boys For Hire. I cannot wait to read the second book.

I also loved that this book tackles not only military but also motorcycles and the good and danger of being in a club. This book is so unique for me to read from the author. She always amazes me with her writing. I cannot wait for everybody to read it as well.

Disclosure:

I received an advance copy of book to read. All my review is 100% honestly mine.

Humor, steam, and sweetness all wrapped into a great book. Very, very entertaining; very difficult to put down and take care of other mu dane things like work. Terri is about to celebrate her 30th birthday and her family is pressuring her to get into a relationship. Ryker has just received a medical discharge after serving 5 years on the military. Things have been tough on hin ever since returning. Call it fate or destiny, but they meet and what was supposed to be a temp job turned out to be much more.

If you like a mixture of heat and suspense this is the book for you. This story puts a twist on Romeo and Juliet in a modern setting. Terri is the modern day Juliet to Ryker her Romeo. Both come from families that makes it hard to believe there is going to be a HEA for them. There was no way I could put this book down until I knew what their ending was.
I recieved an ARC copy for a truthful review. I have to tell you it always makes me happy when I can honestly say I loved the book; this was most definitely was one of those books.

My Reviews
I asked for more and I got it!

This is the 1st in the Bad Boys for Hire Series. I previously listened/reviewed book #2 Ken.

♥ Story ♥
Terri "Terr" Martin is turning 30 and needs a date! She calls the Bad Boys for Hire agency to hire a biker to accompany her to the party her mother is throwing for her. She wants to make a ripple in the pond, not show up with a respectable date. Terry runs her own florist shop to her mother's dismay who is always trying to set her up with someone that will raise the social status of the family.

Ryker is a marine, who just so happens to be a biker, sidelined by a war injury trying to find a job, and it's not going well. After an awkward if not embarrassing standoff, Ryker ends up working for Terri. Their chemistry is on fire, but when the meddling mother comes to visit/coerce her into a date, Ryker recognizes a woman from his past and all the pieces fall into place.

Secrets start pouring out, and they are juicy! Seems they have a lot more in common than once thought, and their pasts coming roaring back with a vengeance. The story ends so far from where you think when you first start, but trust me, It's so worth it!

♥ Author ♥
This is my second read by Rachelle Ayala and I am so not disappointed! I can't wait for the 3rd book to make it to audio!

♥ Narrator(s) ♥
Chris Abell also narrates this title. My opinion of who his voice reminds me of still stands, but I was so enthralled with the story and what was going to happen that I cannot say much more about his performance which should say everything about the job he did!

This is the first story in a series and I must start to say OMG what an amazing story. When I am writing this I am suffering from a major book hangover due to this book. It did really blow my mind away.

First off, this is like all Rachelles books, very well written with a core story where romance is a part of it but not everything. The story is great and you instantly get the feeling for the characters in it. Both Terri and Ryker are awesome, so different and so similar and perfect for each other but of course it is not that easy and this book shows that what you do as a child sometimes comes back and bite your ass as an adult and that you cant really run from your problems.

The story is surronded by love, family feuds and bikes, the perfect combo but not as blase as you might think when you read about it. The story is way more than that and is really deep with a lot of thoughts and feelings behind it. It is a little bit of a modern Romeo and Juliet story but still, very different from the story too. which I really love.

I decided to read while my better half was working so I thought a few chapter would be nice, it ended up with me finishing the book, and he having a late dinner. but I think it was worth it. I coudlnt stop reading and I even took my ereader with me into toilet and read instead of normal cuddle with my dog.

As you may understand by now, I really LOVE this book. It was amazing, I laughed, I rolled my eyes, I felt “come on guys” and I even cried a little. But it also left me with a big smile in the end. When I was reading I felt my heart bat heavier when it was really messy and you didnt know which way it would turn to and what they would do. Not many romance books has that effect on me.

I cant wait to the next book in this series. I cant even stop talking about this book which annoys people around me. When this book comes out, take the chance of reading it or you will really miss something. This is not like most biker romance book, this is so much more and so so much better.

This is a great book by Rachelle Ayala. I really enjoyed reading it and can't wait to read the rest of the series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is about Terri who owns her own flower shop. She will soon be turning 30 and wants to attend her birthday party with a date. She goes to Bad Boys for Hire to hire a motorcycle bad boy and they are all out. She meets a homeless vet who is panhandling and starts yelling at him to get a job. When he walks across the street to where she was she hands him her business card and gives him some money and tells him to go to her shop for work. She sees him ride away on a harley.

This is when the book starts getting really good because we know that all of us are really attracted to those bad boy bikers that Mom always tells you to stay away. But there's nothing like harleys and leather to get a girl excited.

A great story that I think you will enjoy reading.

Terri's upcoming birthday has her thinking she needs to shake things up. She tries to hire a bad boy to be her date for her birthday party. By chance, she ends up meeting Ryker. Her first impression of Ryker is way off. Ryker is down on his luck, and just needs someone to give him a chance, a job. Terri decides to hire Ryker temporarily, not really believing he will even show up. Their attraction to each other is undeniable, and they give in to it very quickly. But when Ryker sees who Terri's mom is, everything changes. He is determined to protect Terri. When Ryker tells Terri he knows her secret, she is so torn. She wants to be with Ryker, yet she knows it's dangerous. This story is full of twists, and it was an amazing book to read. I absolutely loved it!

Ryker just returned from duty in the Marines and did not want to return to the life he left until he could right the wrongs of his past. The ex-biker couldn't go back to his family because they wanted him to seek revenge and he didn't want that life.
Terri had a good life and a great business but as her mother always reminded her she wasn't getting any younger she need to find a man. But the men she would try to set her up with weren't the kind of me she was attracted to.
This is the first book in the Bad Boys for Hire series and it is a fun read that is a mix of Romeo and Juliet meets Sons of Anarchy. It does have some scenes not appropriate for all readers . Take the time to check this series out. I'm sure glad I did.

Terri is a smart sassy self employed florist. Ryker was a marine who has chosen to stay away from his family. Terri meets Ryker while he is panhandling and the fun ensues. They find they knew each other in their childhood. Trouble looms and Ryker will do anything and everything in his power to save Terri's life.

This is a fun sassy and sexy read that will have you laughing with them, and hoping that Ryker can be a hero.

All Terri wants is a date for her 30th birthday party, but before she can hire someone, she meets Ryker. I could not put this story away. So much action and romance it's like a buffet and you can't wait for the dessert! There are enough twists to keep you wondering and on the edge of your seat. Rachelle Ayala does not disappoint. I love her writing and her characters are strong whether they are men or women. I've already purchased the next book in this series.

Terri's got a lot going on in the weeks before her 30th birthday and the last thing she needs is to try to find a boyfriend before her surprise party. She calls Bad Boys for Hire to rent herself a motorcycle riding boyfriend for the night, but before she can hire one she meets Ryker panhandling on the side of the road. Their first meeting doesn't go well, and Ryker goads her into offering him a job at her flower shop for the day.

Ryker has been searching for work ever since he was injured overseas, and Terri's version of "veteran's aid" is just what he needs. But when her mother shows up during their first night together, Ryker recognizes the woman. She stirs up memories of his past and the biker club he's hiding from, and Ryker realizes he may have just put Terri's life in danger.

This book started as a light-hearted romance, with a meet cute and a steamy night together. Then it took a turn toward deeper waters with a blood feud between motorcycle gangs and revenge. The writing is still fun and pretty lighthearted for the content. I thought Terri and Ryker were both really likable characters. Her girlfriends were interesting and it looks like they're getting bad boys of their own, lucky girls! This was a steamy read that can be read as a standalone, with no cliffhanger.

The narrator was great, Chris Abell was easy to listen to and put plenty of personality into his performance. He performed male and female speaking voices well. I received a copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

A modern day Romeo and Juliet, this book is fast paced and fun. Terri, a florist hooks up with Ryker, a man she hires to help for a day in her store. He seems familiar, but little does she know, her past will come back full force! This dynamic duo has chemistry from the minute they meet. The rivalry of their families with the backing of their respective motorcycle clubs is very intimidating through the story, but Rachelle Ayala gives this old Shakespearean classic a new twist, so you are kept guessing throughout the story. I loved the performance of Ken, from Bad Boys for Hire and his quick but oh so important role. He gave me a chuckle with his act and was impressed that he put himself in harm's way for the job. There is a glimpse of Terri's friends who are also in book 2, giving a little background on the upcoming events, but it is this series can definitely be read as a standalone for each book.

Chris Abell is amazing with his narration. He is able to capture the heat and passion in one scene and turn to the next and make you feel the fear of what is coming up! He does an incredible performance.

This audio was a bit different from my usual reading/listening. I don’t like MC stories and this one is definitely that genre.
That said, I have to confess it was engaging.
When Ryder, an unemployed Marine, and Terri, a flower shop owner, meet by chance, they don’t realize that they in fact met when they were children. A meeting that affected not only them, but also both their families. Families that were very much part of the motorcycle clubs and at times dangerously so.
Their story was at times farfetched, with a modern twist to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet story, but that didn’t stop me from listening to it , specially when the story took so many detours.
At times funny, at others touching , it also brought up a very real social issue. When the brave men and women who serve our country come back home, we, as a society are not doing enough to help them integrate back to civil life. Unemployment and sadly, suicide is high for this group. The least we can do as individuals and as a country, is give them a hand . Kudos to the author for that reminder.
For that, the story gets a 4 star rating.

At first this story seems like a typical girl looking for a bad boy biker story, but as I got further into it I soon learned that this story has got layers. Just when you think you've got a handle on it some new revelation happens that turns part or all of the story on it's head.

Terri is an interesting character she's both confident and self-doubting, some strong self worth issues colour her thinking and add a level of realism to the story.

Ryker is the kind of bad boy I'd take home to meet my Mum... yummy, polite and not really that bad.

The book is laugh out loud funny at times and at others had me on the edge of my seat, it was entertaining from beginning to end.

Chris Abell did a good job with the narration, his character voice for Ryker was a stand out and the other are also good, he did a great job on the female voices. The overall delivery is expressive with emotions well conveyed and a smooth pace.

This book was supplied free by the author/narrator/publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Terri Martin hires, down on his luck, biker Ryker Slade to help her in her florist shop. Unaware that her family and Ryker’s have a shared and difficult past. As their feelings grow, the secrets threaten their future happiness.

I liked this story, but… there is way too much going on in this audiobook, which clocks in at just under 4 hours in length. This story needs to unfold slowly and the backstory fleshed out. It was all too much too soon. Rachelle Ayala has talent, no doubt about it. I’d love to see her spend more time in the worlds she is creating. I definitely will have my eye out for her work in the future.

I’ve listened to several books narrated by Chris Abell and I love the way he tells a story. He always conveys the right amount of emotion without being over the top. He delivers in this fully voiced production.

This audiobook was given to me at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review, thanks, Audiobook Boom!

I enjoyed this book. I listened to the audio version of this book. Ryker is a disabled vet and a former motorcycle club member. Terri is a floral shop owner. She's having lunch with her friends when she sees him panhandling and jumps to conclusions about why he's doing it and confronts him. She ends up giving him an afternoon of work and they have an immediate attraction. They didn't realize it but they had met when they were younger and their families were in rival mc gangs. The twists and turns in this story really kept me interested and trying to figure out where it was going. I didn't see the ending coming in the way it did. You will enjoy listening to this audio book. Chris Abell does a wonderful job of narrating. I really liked Rachelle Ayala's writing in this book. I received a free copy for my review.

Family Feud Fury

Ryker and Terri go way back. They just don't necessarily rrecognise each other now that they're adults. As they discover who they really are their pasts of motorcycle clubs, family entanglements, personal conflicts and, in Tyler's case, Marine experience, all collide. Ryker is back home from his Marine career hoping to bring an end to the family feud that has cost lives, livelihoods and futures. The parallels this story has to Romeo and Juliet and West Side Story are clear. Yet this story has twists and turns that show a new and scary conclusion to the legendary tale. Bad Boys For Hire plays a periphery role in this book, but Ryker is certainly the epitome of a bad boy gone good. Ryker and Terri are a great couple and their love will clearly help them fight for right.

I loved the way this story started out--the first confrontation between Terri and Ryker was priceless. Ayala has created a "biker gang Romeo and Juliet" type story without the tragic ending and made it humorous to boot. Sit back and figure that out!
I really liked Terri and Ryker. They are both good people trying to cultivate their love for each other in an atmosphere that isn't going to help them at all. Terri is spunky and Ryker stands up for what he feels is right and... he's a motorcycle guy who doesn't mind taking a job in a flower shop. This book had lots of surprises in it!
The narration by Chris Abell was good. I wouldn't say his female voices are my favorite, but it was okay to listen to.

My first book from Ms. Ayala and I am glad I picked this book.
Loved how she weaves the story and captured my attention from the beginning. Touching on sensitive subjects, like the fate of many veterans after returning stateside, the attitude of so many people when dealing to panhandlers, the snob atmosphere of county clubs frequented by the wealthy.
Terri is one of the 'snobs', but gets quite a surprise after meeting Ryker and getting to know him. Finding out their respective stories is entertaining and unexpected. Well done.
I am so getting the next story :D

My first listen from Mr. Abell and his voice is very good, I enjoyed his various voices, male and female, the emotions are well displayed. Loved the voice he gave Ryker. YUM

I felt like my head was constantly spinning. As soon as I thought I figured out what was happening, something else happened and I couldn't wrap my head around it. I spent a good 20 minutes after finishing still trying to piece everything together. Here is a little sample of what is currently going on: "That was him?" "They don't know who she is?" "Her dad dad what?" "How did her mom do that?" "What is his mom doing?" "What the hell just happened?" "They all knew?" "What?" "Why?" "How?"

The narrator, Chris Abell, did a fantastic job with the characters. His gravely voice fit this book perfectly!

Ryker is ex-military, born & raised by a 1% MC...but he isn’t comfortable with that life and has been homeless and panhandling since his return home. Terri feels something for to panhandler, gives him $20 and offers him a temp job at her flower shop. She sort of expects him to take her $$ and run and is surprised when he shows up for the job. The pair start a fling...then later on realize that their families are in rival MC. Think Westside Story but with bikes. Great story! Moving on to the next book in the series.
