So this review is about a pervy book that features a seventeen year old girl with an older guy. It's a dang fantasy people so if you don't like it leave the room now. I'm gonna gif the heck out of this review too.

Veda's dad works for the man so he gets dear old Daddy to enter in a contract with Ramsey now being Veda's legal guardian.

I liked this book. Yes, I know she is young. I didn't read it to judge. I read it for the porn. That's the only problem I had with the book. It tried to have a storyline...I just wanted more banging.

What can I say about this one? At just under 70 pages, this super quick read clearly can't compare to a full-length novel. It just isn't that type of story. If you go into it expecting a well developed backstory and beautiful prose, you'll be sorely disappointed. This is straight-up kinky, taboo smut.
The story is about a thirty year-old billionaire who is obsessed with a seventeen year-old girl. After a single chance encounter, he decides that he must have her and is willing to go to any length to get her.
After he essentially buys the girl from her father, he sets his plan in motion. Now her guardian, he is free to live out all of his darkest fantasies. For her part, she's all to willing to give in.
This short story features a lot of content that will make some readers cringe. Aside from the age difference, which is amplified by the girl's even younger behavior, there are several daddy references that are sure to raise some hackles.
That said, it won't hold much appeal for many readers. However, if you're looking for a story that gets right down to business, this might be the one. Personally, I relish in the taboo aspects of these types of stories but I prefer a little more depth.

I really wanted to like this one. I really did. I mean it has an OTT alpha, hot sex, but OMG the heroine was annoying. She acted like a child. Of course she is only 17 in this book, but she acted like a brat 99% of the time. I wanted someone to smack the ever-loving-hell out of her! I didn't believe for ONE SECOND that a 30 year old MAN , who owns a company, a billionaire, would give this CHILD a second of his time once she opened her mouth.
Then there was this little diddy...
"I’ve got a little secret for you, Veda.” I press my mouth against her ear, need blanketing my brain like a dense fog. “Your daddy probably wanted it, too.” She gasps and I know I’m a bastard, know I should stop, but we’re wrapped up in lust in the dark interior of the limousine and in that moment, nothing feels off limits or forbidden. Nothing. And when she clenches around my dick so hard, I almost drain myself, I have a feeling she’s got some darkness in her, too. Darkness I crave. I want her to come to me for it when she needs a fix. “He probably couldn’t help it, Veda. Couldn’t stop picturing all the ways you’ve filled out over the years. Ugh. I feel like I need a bath in Purell, antibiotics, and holy water. This book made me depressed and horrified.
The story is about 30 yr old Ramsey "buying" 17 yr old Veda. He's obsessed with her and pays her dad to go to Europe and let her stay with him until she's legal. That's horrible and all, but that's not what made me get out the rosary beads for protection. No, Veda made me hide behind crucifixes.
Veda seems like an innocent young girl that's delicate, sweet, and gentle. It's all a big lie, she's the Anti-Christ. She knows exactly what she's doing, and exactly how to use men. She could teach a masters course on it. And it's not that sort of flirtatious behavior where she sort of knows what she's doing, but more so is young and dumb, oh no, this girl is truly manipulative. She's evil.
The whole story is from Ramsey's POV and even he notices she's all a facade and is actually playing him. But he's so infatuated that he doesn't really care. The only thing he wants is sex with her and for her to be happy. He tells her every moment that he'll give her anything and everything she wants, do anything she wants. He spends most of the novel bribing her and kind of begging her, while telling her I'm your guardian, blah, blah, blah. He's all alpha businessman that's a billionaire, but put him near Veda and he's an incoherent, drooling maniacal baboon. His brains leave town for the season when she even breathes his way. It's pretty pitiful and so unsexy. I really did not find it hot him telling her 'I'll buy you expensive presents if you do ___', always something sexual. Look bub, that's called prostitution when you have to pay someone to do you. Granted, Veda wants to do him too, but more so wants to manipulate and get as much as she can out of him. Normally I'm all for the hooker without the heart of gold, but Veda isn't one, even if I see that profession in her future, she's 17 and evil. I only accept this sort of street walker cunning in young people if you've grown up on the streets or had some horrific home life. She had none of that and goes to an all girls private school = she's a psychopath.
Between Ramsey's obsessed and pathetic inner monologue and Veda's blatant evil manipulations, I hated this book. It made me ill to read how sexually manipulative Veda was all while being innocent (in body only). Ramsey's constant bribes and inner pathetic-ness made me ill. I didn't finish it, but I did read the last chapter to see what her endgame was. They both need professional help and exorcisms.
This book was an "erotic" novel that used Nabokov's Lolita as its inspiration and shat on it. I loved the novel Lolita for its complexity and Nabokov's genius with words. He made a terrible story beautiful. His Lolita was a victim of her stepfather and had zero options, never wanted her stepfather, nor was she initially manipulative. Veda has a lot of options, wants Ramsey, and she manipulates from page 1. She's spiteful, jealous, evil, etc, and I never felt she was a victim. She made victims is more like it. I rather resent this book for trying to be Lolita. Maybe it wasn't, but I felt it was. The author did make Ramsey as obsessed and pitiful as Humbert Humbert.
As to this book being erotic, it wouldn't have bothered me if the characters hadn't made me think of horror films and how to kill them both. I mean, have you seen some of the crazy things I buddy read? The age gap and Veda being underage wasn't the problem, not that I found it thrilling, because high schoolers are like brain dead locusts and should be avoided (My theory is all the hormones impair brain function during puberty), but it's just silly fiction. The horrible characters were the problem or I should say the horrible story. I'm going to have to read something super happy and rated G to cleanse this out of my head. Maybe a Disney movie.

When I saw the title of this short but cute and at the same time sexy story I just couldn't help myself from sneaking a peak. And let me tell you folks, if you are an Alexa Riley fan then this book is sooo for you. I really enjoyed it!!!

He seeks to finally feel something, anything again and seeing Veda, who's young and full of life dance has brought him back to live. And that is something he is dead set on keeping and protecting. To achieve that he crosses lines that shoudn't be crossed and that will eventually catch up with him.
… you looked so miserable and alone watching everyone from the darkness … So I followed, because I was worried.

She followed me. She saw me and gave a shit.
Veda is only seventeen but her beauty is what attracts men of all ages. Most times than not she enjoys her power but she never counted on catching the eye of her father's boss. And now that she's his she learns that some things shouldn't be played with.
“I can’t think straight around you,” she whispers, as if sharing a secret. “I think you’re up to no good, Ramsey Beckett, but I think the more time I spend around you, the less I’m going to care.
Their love story is fast paced, explosive and to be hones quite destructive. It's a love that will make you feel complete when together but kill (and I mean that quite literally) when separated. It's a shame we don't get the epilogue, for I would have loved to see how their journey turned out.

ok - I have to correct my review since 17 is the age of consent in New York. However, I will stand by my outrage since he did BUY her. But I do stand corrected on it being statutory rape. I looked and am appalled by how low the age is in many states. Only 5 states still have 18 as the age of consent. Some are as low as 13. Yep - thirteen years old!!! Totally fucked up!

A grown ass MAN fucking a 17 year old girl in New York is technically not a CRIME, but should be!!!! It is repulsive. I do not fucking care that she is ALMOST 18. No matter that he BOUGHT her! I cannot see how there is consent.
A bit of perspective, if this was a book of naked pictures of a 17 year old, we could all be charged with viewing child porn (yes the age is 18 for this). What is the f'ing difference?
She could have had the girl turn 18 within a week and had him keep it in his pants for the week and I would totally not be offended (but would still hate the book because the heroine was so dislikable).
I do not care who read or liked it. I do care that the author thought it was ok to write it and that Amazon is selling it. I am one of the least easily offended people on the planet. Hell, I love Lisa Lampanelli - who is probably the most offensive comedian ever. I think she is hilarious. But this was too much.

When you hear about a book being pulled from Amazon due to inapropriate content, you got to read it to find out what all the fuss is about. That is exactly what I did :). Luckily, for those curious like me, author made the book available to download for free on her website.
I've read the story and I don't get why the book was pulled from sales. The age of consent in New York is seventeen, that makes both characters consenting adults. So what's the deal? The creep factor is that there is a huge age gap between them, with heroine being 17 and the hero 30. But that is it.
I went in having no expectations at all, read it simply out of curiosity and was surprized that I ended up liking the story as much as I did. The story is told from a male pov and boy does he has a dirty mouth on him. If it wasn't for an incredibly amateur and entitled little brat that is the heroine, the story could've have been a Jack Pot of smut.
I'll be definitely keeping an eye on this author, I'm curious to see how this story ends.

This was an interesting read. It was your typical quickie with hot sex and a mega-alpha male but I'm thinking there was a bit more to the heroine than met the eye. I'll have to wait for book two to confirm.
Veda was a unique character. I know a lot of people commented on her childlike attitude but she was an extremely sheltered 17 year old girl, and I definitely don't think that's all there was to her. She had this fascinating manipulative streak. I think she was much more aware of her ability to control men than she let on. Veda almost had a lack of self-awareness, we were to believe she was gorgeous and womanly and knew what her looks and her body did to men around her; yet we were also supposed to believe that all of this left her unaffected, left her innocent. I'll be interested to see if she's as conniving as I think she is.
Ramsey was a determined man. He's clearly used to getting whatever it is he wants and Veda is no exception. He wants her so he'll have her. He has no qualms about their age difference or the lengths he'll go to possess her.

I read it. I knew better but I did it anyway.
I have to say, the book was pretty well written. I was expecting much worse because I've read much worse but, yeah, the billionaire (ugh) "hero" is a controlling fool who loves to buy people and that is impossible to ignore and the "heroine" is the definition of a brat and a user. These two kind of deserve each other. Just pretend she's 18, ignore the entire offensive premise and go with the flow and you may love this? I dunno. I do know there is another in the works and no one is "too young" (the author may need to change her series title tho) and I'll probably read it just to, you know, review it for you guys.

So, the h in this one was annoying AF, I understand why the author did that, and the fact that she is just acting her age, still that doesn't mean I had to like it. But anyways, it is JK's writing so I tried overlooking the quite horrible and annoying stuff, still it was a somewhat enjoyable quickie.
Ah and also, JK pens some of the DIRTIEST dirty talk ever. I mean, she really never ceases to amaze me in that department 😂.

Dear me. In my defence, she's young but still 17. He's an obsessed 30 year-old gazillionaire anxious to buy something that money can't buy.
Alexa Riley recommended this, even she said it was crazy insta lust (and she should know after all) although this also had a strong daddy vibe running through the set up and in the dirty talk if that's your kink.
I cannot lie, parts of this were hawt as fuck, but other scenes, particularly the exhibitionist style scenes were a bit much for me;icky even.
I loved the writing style though, much better than the usual for a short and dirty read so I'll definitely be reading more from this author.

The characters in this story were bat shit crazy.
Honestly I thought the story was super hot for the most part. But the h Veda was such a brat, and manipulative that it bordered crazy... and the H Ramsey was so bloody obsessed with her that he listened and provided her with whatever psychotic plea came out of her mouth. Besides that I did like the insta-lust and the possessiveness.
But please tell me WHY Ramsey had to bring up her father when they were having sex, and WHY she had to be turned on by it. ew ew ew ew. I read daddy kink, and step-father stories occasionally but there is NO BIOLOGICAL CONNECTION in those.
Anyways.. for the most part it was good! I may check out this author again but I shall tread lightly :)

I loved possessive alpha male with power and money. He's way over-the-top :D
BUT... I hate the girl. She's only 17 yo and too slutty for my taste. Not sexy. At all. She has daddy issues and attention whore as well. Yeah, that's my opinion.
The sex was just okay. I was hope for more dirty fuck but only happened couple times. Twice, maybe? Ugh.
COUGH. There is the most disturbing scene ever when he mentioned about her father when they have sex.

What the hell did I just read? I'm usually a fan of an older Hero and younger heroine but in this book I seriously thought the heroine was like 12 years old! Wayy too immature, whiney and in general just annoying! Not sure what the Hero saw in her.
And ofcourse the Hero mentioning how the heroine's dad probably got off on her which in return made her cum really hard had me vomiting in my mouth a bit.

So basically its a guilty pleasure kinda book.. everything is wrong but it feels so good. Just put your brain aside for a couple hours and enjoy yourself some vain but hot smut.

I was so excited to read this... and then the whole thing ended up being a big disappointment. For one, I thought the girl was gonna be younger because in my opinion... 17 ain’t nothin. There are SO many books with a 17 year old FMC involved in an age gap. Veda is 17 and Ramsey is 30. That’s still only 13 years. I don’t see the big deal..
Now when you get into the fact that Veda’s father worked for Ramsey’s company and he promoted her dad to another country on purpose, paid off his debts, and had him sign a contract for Ramsey to become Veda’s legal guardian and live with him until she turned 18... well that’s a bit more sketchy and creepy and I fucking love it 😝
However... I did NOT like Veda. Her character was just whiny and manipulative and she knew exactly what she was doing while trying to act innocent. She got jealous over the fact that women worked in his office...
Veda: “I want you to fire them all on Monday, Ramsey.”
and when he says he can’t just fire someone for their looks, she whines some more. “Figure something out.” 🙄🙄
The whole scene with her male high school teacher during their conference was ridiculous. She was goading both of them and Ramsey played right into it while feeling up her leg in front of the other teacher. Jesus.
But the whole shit Ramsey was saying when he took her for the first time? It was dirty and forbidden and naughty as fuck and that was probably the most excited I felt during this book:

This story was pulled from Amazon due to content. Her being 17 to him being 30. Did I have a problem with it? No. The sex is consenual. Dirty words and thoughts are there. It's a great storyline with great writing. The only issue I had was the ending. An epilogue would have been welcomed.

I honestly disliked everybody in this novella. The heroine was annoying and childish(she's 17 so it tracks) and the supposed hero come off as a creepy pedophile who basically bought her from a daddy. And then all those grown a** men who work for the hero also supposedly thirsting after this very immature and naive girl smh. As for her father, the least talked about him the better.

I wanted to know what all the hoopla was surrounding this book so I caved and got it. While I was repulsed by the male lead for various reasons apart from his age, the female lead was just as unlikable, in addition to being very whiny and annoying. Her hot-and-cold moods left me cringing and feeling headachy, but I sort of wished the reader atleast got a snippet of Veda's POV because Ramsey's POV read like a seventeen year-old horn-dog.
