This is a very quick read and a quaint little book that covers the, then, current reforms taking place inside the USSR.

The book has a brief history of pre Communist Russia leading up to the revolution and the subsequent premiers and general secretaries post Lenin. The book is semi biographical as far as Gorbachev goes but seeks to read like an extended update to young and new readers on the subject.

I found the book during a thrifty search at the markets and flicked through it quickly.

A nice little read for those interested in history and understanding the events that lead to the inevitable thaw of the late cold war. This is in no ways a comprehensive over view. Good for the kids.
