I think I will stick with the review I made for Dorothy Smith's other book. This has the same flaws. May I suggest that the beginner go to YouTube and look up beginning crochet. There you will learn how to do all the stitches that the author tries to write out here with very little in the way of instructional photos. Many beautiful pictures of finished swatches. But none showing where the hook should go and how the process is done.
