From his early days as a budding amateur vlogger, through to everyone's favorite YouTube superstar, Alfie Deyes' story is the stuff of dreams. With millions of followers across the world, his unique brand of nothingness has come to define a generation, while his YouTube channel continues to gain new followers on a daily basis.
Now, for the very first time, Alfie talks about how it all began...From growing up on the sunny south coast of England, having fun with friends and thinking up pranks, dares, and silly activities throughout the long summer holidays in Brighton, through to recording his first ever vlog at the age of 15, The Scrapbook of My Life is the story of how a young, ambitious kid with a big character took the world by storm.
But The Scrapbook of My Life isn't a typical autobiography. Join Alfie as he recalls his first childhood memories, his first day at school, his first ever job, and how he has moved from his hometown to the wide-eyed metropolis of London--and fill in your own pages alongside your favorite YouTube star! With alternate pages for readers to complete, including pages for sticking photographs, completing stats and facts, and collecting souvenirs, The Scrapbook of My Life is the ultimate journal for PointlessBlog fans, old and new!

I read this in 5 hours! I litterally couldn’t put it down! I love how it’s written in a handwriting style font, it makes it feel like you are reading a hand written note from a friend!

This book is about Alfie's childhood and he talks about all he did when he was a child and the story of how he gets into doing YouTube and about how he met all his friends and when he did his other books also he has made the book to actually look like a scrapbook with pictures and places where you can actually write in the book.

What I liked about this book was the way it was written and the style he did it in made it actually look like a scrapbook and that some of the things he spoke about really made me laugh. This book made me happy and made me laugh and as your reading the book it makes you imagine you were there when he was a child. I could not put this book down really made me want to read more.

In my opinion, the only thing I didn't like about this book was there he has put in the blank pages where you can write or draw things about your childhood I don't like this as I don't find that you should write in books so I haven't done it in this book as to me it ruins the book.

To summarise my review on this book I think its a really good book and I enjoyed it I would definitely recommend this book around the age of about 8 and above but it's not a children book as I am 21 and really enjoyed it I have given this book an 8 out of 10 as it could have been a little better.

Very interesting way of using mixed media (scanning codes and watching videos). Loved the use of this especially due to him being a Youtuber :)

I first got this book when I travelling in the car to the caravan for a week when I realised I hadn't brought a book , so because I couldn't go back home and get one I went to Asda and bought heartless and the scrapbook of my life . Once I got in the car I started reading this book and couldn't stop , I ended up finishing it all in the car .😬 Ooops ... this book follows a spectacular YouTube and what has happened through this life story . I honestly couldn't of asked for anything better , I highly recommend this books 📚

First of all I have to say that I myself had gotten this book as a gift for my younger sister as she has followed both Zoe & Alfie's vlogs for the last couple of years so as a result I have gotten to know the lifestyle of the YouTube community and how much each of their popularity has grown over the past few years!

This was actually a very quick and enjoyable read. I actually managed to finish this book within just one day. This was a great insight into Alfie's life growing up and how it has gotten to where he is today.

I especially enjoying seeing the inspiring quotes that are placed throughout this book. They are definitely able to encourage the reader to believe in themselves and more importantly;

'Do more of what makes you happy'

To conclude, I loved the setup of this book with it being based of a 'Scrapbook' so it had felt that at times he was directly talking to the reader which is a nice touch. I do have to admit though at times the writing, specifically the font style is at times a little difficult to read, but despite that I would have to say that it's a great read for any 'PointlessBlog' fan.

After another big reading slump, I finally read through the whole book yesterday. I really enjoyed it!! Alfie has always been one of my favourite YouTubers ever since I started watching his videos near the end of 2013. He's such a genuine and fun person to watch that it's been amazing to watch his journey and popularity grow.

While his first two books were lots of fun, I love that this book gave you more stories about Alfie and his life growing up, and how he got started with YouTube and lots of memories he had long the way with his books, and the tours and fun things he's gotten up to. I loved reading things and as a viewer, remembering the daily vlogs from those moments!

As always, Alfie's books comes with an app that you download for free and it lets you scan pages throughout the book to offer never before seen videos and pictures. I love how cool and creative that is!!

I'll never stop being a fan of Alfie's! I can't wait to see what he comes up with next, and I'm happy to be there along the way as one of his many viewers.

This book is called The Scrapbook of My Life by Alfie Deyes. Alfie is a 23 years old british Youtuber which posts mostly comedy, and collaboration videos. This is his 3rd book and they all are similar to each other. They all involve the reader writing, or drawing, etc. The book incorporates also his life throughout all of his 23 years which he put in contents. It talks about his family, friends, tastes, work, etc. Basically his life all along. And so how the reader is getting involved is that every time he finishes a chapter about something from his part of life you have to add a picture or write something related to the topic but about you. It supposed to like a journal/book. I think that this book would be interesting for anyone my age because it’s interactive and I think that adds a good touch to the book. Mostly recommend it to a person that knows him but otherwise since it's basically an autobiography you don’t need to know much about him because he will tell you in the book instead. I really enjoyed reading this book and I will give it 9/10.

Guess what! I’ve been reading another YouTuber’s autobiography. Another one? Yes, another one. But I think this one is my least favourite so far. Sorry Alfie.

I absolutely love Alfie’s vlogs and his weekly videos, but he can’t really write.

The idea behind the book is really cool. A scrapbook, filled with pictures, stories and even videos if you use the app! I even love the fact that he left some blanc pages for his readers to fill in. Live that. It is consistent with his YouTube channel and his two previous books (The Pointless Book 1 + 2), as evenly interactive.

But the text is written in some sort of handwriting font which really annoys me. I find it really difficult to read like that. The lines aren’t straight, words are crossed out. It goes perfectly with the theme, but it’s really not my cup of tea.

The stories are fun, though. He writes the way he speaks, so I sometimes heard his voice in my head when I read it.

A quick note on the actual book itself... It's one of those books that's just so nice to hold in your hand when you're reading it, so that was nice!

It was a good little book. Obviously you don't go into it expecting something amazing. It's as advertised. A book with little stories and information about Alfie's life up until this year. And I'm sure if I was more inclined to "join in" with the book and put information about my life in it too, it would have added an extra element to it. All in all, it's a nice book.

Because it isn't a fictonal book, it's very straight forward. Alfie tells you the story of his life! I really enjoyed this as an autobiography as he gave us a lot of details about special moments and events in his life. Sure he's no John Green, but it isn't meant to be a novel. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this as a pointless blog fan. Looking forward to future releases! 5/5

Reading a autobiography is something really personal and you also feel close and attached to that person! He is not the best writer I have read but though his words, we feel like one of his friends who is telling his story and sharing secrets!

Thank you Alfie, for everything that you have done for this community and for us!

It was an interesting book to read and find out more about Alfie but I really didn't like the style. For me it didn't flow at all and seemed all over the place making it hard to follow. The writing was also hard to read at points, I understand the concept that this would be like a scrapbook but for me it just needed to be neater and have more structure.
