All his life, Jack Callaghan has been a fighter and a survivor.

For his country — as a Navy SEAL in Vietnam.

For his family — as the proud son of immigrants, fierce friend, beloved husband, and father of seven strapping sons.

For his life — in war, in covert ops, and now unexpectedly stricken by a shadow that’s loomed over the Callaghan men for generations.

Jack’s most recent brush with death brings back a lifetime of memories in vivid, realistic detail. The best times of his life, as well as the worst. Through it all, he’s always fought the good fight, because he’s always had people depending on him.

But now, his sons are grown with families of their own. They run the Pub, the Team and the family, as well.

After twenty-five years without his croie, he’s tired. Tired of fighting, tired of existing without her. Especially when he is so close to seeing his Kathleen again.

I’ll love you forever, mo croie beloved.

Excuse me while I fangirl. Abbie Zanders is a genius, a true talent…and I’m pretty sure she’s also a sadist. She made me laugh and she made me cry…oh, my god, did she make me cry.

Forever Mine moves seamlessly between the past and the present. I never found myself “taken out of the moment” when moving between decades past and present 2015. The flow of this story is nothing less than perfect. Like I said, Ms. Zanders is a genius and a true talent.

I cried from the very first chapter. I actually had to walk away from Jack’s story, because I had somewhere I needed to be and make-up was required. Trust me when I say the waterproof stuff is no match for this book. I sent Ms. Zanders a message about how she was killing me and she sucked for making me cry. Her reply held no remorse. Like I said, I’m pretty sure Ms. Zanders is a sadist.

Like most of you who fell in love with all things Callaghan, that included Jack, the patriarch of the clan. I fell in love with him more and more through each book in the series, the stern, yet loving father, the doting father-in-law and grandfather. I found myself wanting to know more about his and Kathleen’s life and love. Jack’s story moves between his life in the past with his croie and his present without her. It tells of the strength to survive and thrive from the perspective of those left behind.

I really have no words to describe how Jack’s story truly moved me. It is a beautiful story of love, life, and loss. It is a testament to the human spirit. How we gather our strength to survive after a soul crushing loss, not because we want to, but because we have to. Those who leave us are never forgotten. They live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew them and the generations that come after them.

Per Ms. Zanders, there is only one croie in a Callaghan man’s lifetime. For myself, someone who believes in a love that lasts beyond death and time, the premise behind this series is perfect.

Forever Mine is written as it should be, with honesty and without compromise.
Thank you for writing such a beautiful story Abbie Zanders.

If you haven’t read Ms. Zanders’ Callaghan Brothers Series, I strongly recommend you treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.

"Forever Mine" is the story of Kathleen and Jack.

So I've been putting off reading this book (series finale) for almost 9 years now because I'm weak. I love the series, and we know Jack has struggled to live without his soulmate, but he does for the sake of his children.
In this book, we travel back and forth to see his story with her, and when he gets sick and has finished all his obligations, his desire to finally be with her..

I honestly cried on every chapter. It hurt my chest to see this fictional character mourn his wife on every page. The last two chapters caused a whole breakdown, but Im just glad it didnt end how I feared it would.

Absolutely beautiful but will shatter your heart. Keep a box of tissues ready.

Abbie Zanders has been one of my most favorite authors since I read book #1 in the Callaghan series! She captured my heart with these amazing men and their equally wonderful women! I have been waiting for Jack's book but at the same time not wanting this series to end. It has definitely been bittersweet. As usual, Mrs. Zanders did not disappoint in the slightest. This was such an emotionally captivating story in how it showed what the meaning of true love is. The storyline was amazing, the way she brought the past and present together was done perfectly, the attention to detail was outstanding, and I absolutely loved learning the beautiful story of Jack and Kathleen and how the Callaghan clan came to be as well as their secret family business that the son's now run. I know many were upset that Jack's story didn't follow the rest of the series, but personally I thought the way his story ended was exactly how it was meant to be. It supports the belief that once they found their croie, nothing will ever come between them, not even death.
This story broke my heart in so many ways! It hurt for Jack and how lonely he has been without his croie by his side, how he lost her and wishing they'd had so much more time together to raise the amazing son's they had, and how he feels like he's not useful or needed anymore since each of his son's are married. It hurt for each of his son's, daughters in law, and grandkids having to experience the horrible situation when he got sick, and not knowing what to do or say to make it better. However, the ending made everything exactly as it should have been, which was loving perfection.
Mrs. Zanders is an exceptionally talented author. Her stories are always unique, creative, and fresh, the characters are smart, strong both mentally and physically, and even though they're beautiful or handsome, they each have flaws that only make them more real. Her writing style always flows beautifully, the stories are emotional but not overly so, and they have the right amount of suspense to grab you and keep you intrigued and wanting more. This is one of the few authors that I always look forward to reading her next book and never disappointed.
I strongly recommend this book and this amazing series to everyone who loves a beautifully written romance!

A Heartfelt 6 Stars!!
I think this was my favourite story of the Callaghan Brother Series. I would definitely give it a heartfelt 6 stars I loved it that much! It was wonderful hearing where the story all started and I loved the way it went back and forth between the present and the past as Jack recalled his life with his croie. I shed tears with Jack and for Jack and wanted to reach in and give him a hug more than once throughout the book. I absolutely loved this series and am so sad to see it end. I know I will re-visit the Callaghans many times as I listen to their stories over and over again. Aiden Snow has made the series thoroughly enjoyable with his exceptional voice and wonderful narration. Abbie Zanders has definitely become one of my favourite authors and I will be looking for more books that she has written. Hopefully there will be more on audible in the future.

I really got into this story and found it very emotional but I couldn't put it down. Only problem I had was that the ending was too abrupt. Just when I think we're finally going to get answers about why he's suddenly seeing his late wife it just ends.

Forever Mine is a phenomenal romance by Abbie Zanders. Jack is a former Navy SEAL and father of 7 grown men. Jack has been missing his wife for the last 25 years and after a recent heart attack wonders if it's time to join her at last. This story goes back and forth between the past and present. Something I normally hate with a passion, but Abbie Zanders has pulled it off so well that I was looking forward to the time changes. Kudos for that trick Ms. Zanders. I love all the characters in this book. Forever Mine is book 9 of the Callaghan Brothers Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

I read a print copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

You have to read this!!!

OH EM GEEEEE! Abbie has knocked it out of the park again! I literally can not get enough of this Callaghan family!

One warning though, this.book.will.GUT.you.... Make sure you grab a box of tissues before settling down to spend a few hours in Jack's mind. You will cry, then laugh, then cry, and then cry again. But 'There's a reason for everything. Every life is a critical link in a chain of events that you can't begin to comprehend.' Even if it 'makes no f###### sense'.

I read this whole book this morning while pretending to work, and had to blame "allergies" for the way I sounded on multiple phone calls.

Well, the author had good intentions...
Aside from errors in historical fact, a silly premise and an unappealing main character, the story falls flat because it's the same old, same old. How many books can you write about the same thing? I think the author is just experimenting to find out.

I wish there were more brothers. Although the story of the family patriarch was okay, it just wasn't the same.

This was definitely a great end to the series. It was such an emotional book - even going into this knowing that Jack wasn't going to die, I still couldn't help but cry during several scenes. I also liked how this one flipped from past to present - it was done in a way that made sense and allowed us to forge that deeper connection with Jack. And we even have some older characters re-introduced to us that we met before or at least heard of (in Book 1 for example).

The love Jack had for his wife Kathleen, his croie, was absolutely inspiring and genuine. They met as he was getting ready to ship off to boot camp. Even though they had only known each other a few minutes, they knew that the other was their soulmate and they'd wait however long it took for them to be together again. Kathleen ended up waiting 7 years for Jack to make his final return to her and man, it was such a great reunion. I can't imagine what Jack went through in Vietnam, but he certainly earned my respect and Kathleen earned mine as well for holding on to belief that he would return and that he was her one and only all those years. My heart broke for Jack though every time news came down about another death. See - Abbie Zanders hits you with tear-inducing scenes every time you turned around.

Even though there are a lot of tear-worthy moments, the good times are really great and you'll have some laughs thrown in there as well. I loved how fierce Kathleen was and could see how her personality and determination was passed on to some of her children. I also saw how Jack Callaghan's toughness shown in his sons and turned them into the warriors they are.

Overall, a really great closure to the Callaghan Brothers series. I'll miss this family and their Irish brogue. Maybe a spin-off with the kids when they're older (hint, hint)?

Loved it, loved it and loved it more. So well written, absolutely a five-star read.

Incredibly well-written, blending the life story of Jack Callahan's present and past. Telling his story, his pain and suffering, the pivotal moments of joy and happiness that shaped his life.  Some moments where absolutely heart-wrenching. So much love and having to endure such loss. Abbie did an incredible job writing his story that it literally brought me to tears. It is by far, absolutely the best and most well-written story out of the Callahan series.

His story was perfect and I'm so glad Abbie did not add a significant other to his story. It was written as it was meant to be. As always, I recommend reading from the beginning. It will give you the full effect that this profound family has and the wonderful character's they are.

Happy Reading!

All da feels!! This has got to be my favourite book in this entire series! Please do yourself a favour and read all the previous book otherwise you cannot truly appreciate every memory, every nuance of every sentence written by Abbie Zanders. I am so thankful that AZ didn't give patriarch of this alpha sexy Irish clan a new lady to love. I legit cried every few pages, the memories of Jack and his croie were beautifully written. I also like how AZ go back and forth from past to present, personally it was seamlessly written. I wish the ending is a tad different *sigh* and that is why I couldn't give this the full 5 stars, I understand why AZ ended it the way she did but still, I wished it was done differently as I feel it would have more impact. Go on and pick up this book, as a Callaghan Brothers fan, I highly recommend that you do.

This book was not for me. Although I love Aiden Snow's narration, the story itself fell flat. The constant back-and-forth time jumps were jarring and left me not caring what was going on. It took a lot just to finish the book.

Not only that, the FMC was the "croi" of the MMC, but to be honest, I have NO idea why. She spends her wedding night practically ripping the guy's clothes off and forcing herself on him, just to turn around and leave him the next morning because she didn't like a decision he had made. Yeah, THAT's someone who has a great character. Her "stubbornness" continued throughout the book. SO many times I wanted to throw her and the book out of a very high window.

Some may like the constant back-and-forth...and some may find this a good love story. I; however, did not.

Forever Mine

OMG! What a fantastic story! We finally got Jack and Kathleen's story! I love how Abbie went between the past and the present. There were a few heart-wrenching parts to their story. You will definitely get tears in your eyes when Kathleen takes a turn for the worse. It is so heartbreaking - even worse when Jack found his mother had passed while he was a POW. Jack and his boys managed to get through those tough first years. Then Abbie gets us in tears again when Jack is going through his tough time. It was so touching that Kathleen was with Jack even after her passing. I am happy that Jack is finally finding peace. FANTASTIC job Abbie! I would recommend this book!

4 1/2*

What an incredible story about Jack and his lifelong love Kathleen. Fantastic writing integrating the past with the present. Jack met his “Heart” Kathleen days before leaving for the military. It was love at first sight. They waited many years for him to return to her.

They have seven beautiful sons together and those sons love their dad fiercely. Even though we know Jack loses his Kathleen young, it’s so devastating to read. Jack has spoken to and heard Kathleen all through his life after her passing. Such a beautiful story!

As a young widow this book hit me hard. But the firm belief of being reunited with our loved ones after we die makes the life journey worth the effort. Well done Abbie Zanders! My favorite book in the series!

Respect to true love.

An absolutely beautiful story of finding your one true love and knowing that even in death you are not separated. To love so deeply, that know no bounds. I can't tell you how many times I teared up over this story. Thank you for not giving Jack another love, it would have taken away from the depth of their love and how their relationship was solidified in war and peace. It really cemented how the sons all saw their beloved, their heart. Miss Sanders you have a new fan in me!!! One of the best series I ever read!! Looking forward to reading the rest of the families stories.

Love for a lifetime

This is such a powerful love story and not even death can take the intensity of emotions away from Jack and Kathleen’s devotion to each other. I admire this authors ability to show how such a deep meaningful love can go beyond the limits of even death. Jack has survived many dangerous situations and his beloved Kathleen succumbed to illness leaving Jack to raise their boys.
Jack eventually has a heart attack but survives. As much as he wants to join his Kathleen it just isn’t that time. There are many touching moments in this story and is such a beautiful story. Loved this entire series. I would recommend this as a must read!

Haunting

It took me time to get through this book. I cried throughout, but not as hard with other parts as with the parts about Vietnam. As someone who lost her fiance there, reading accounts, even vague ones was hard. However it also brought back good memories as sell. The rest of the book was perfect. When I saw there was a book about Jack I was a little upset as I felt he should stay true to his one. The author wrote a beautiful story about him and I was extremely pleased. I have enjoyed this whole series imensely.

It’s FANTASTIC!
If I could give this more than 5 stars I would!
This is the most emotional story of true love that you will ever read!
To understand the strong man Jack’s become you have to take a journey in the past to experience his heartbreak and undying Love for his Katherine. For Jack there really could never be another women to take the place of his beautiful Katherine. She was and still is his one and only croie!
I can’t imagine a more beautiful and Complete love as this...

A once in a lifetime love...

Tears!

I have never written a review. This book moved me so much I had to write something. I loved this series. The best was Forever Mine. We got to know Jack and Kathleen so well. The story went into detail about all the sons. This was the most emotional read. Every page just grew the story more and more. The ending was perfect for me. I was afraid and the outcome was in doubt until the last page. Thank you Abbie Zanders, you made my Covid lockdown bearable. I read the whole series at one time.

On edge

I was on edge the whole story waiting to see how soon was soon. Jack is a great character and this story brilliantly went to history and present times showing the original love story of the parents and the north story of all seven brothers. It also showed the origin of the Ghost team and brought in some familiar names Charlie & Brian. It was a great read and source of information. Kathleen was an amazing character who technically was not alive for this series, but her presence was felt! Great family and series.

This just became my favorite book.

OMG. I love Jack. Absolutely love how you go back in time as he remembers his past with Kathleen and how she is still his one and only even twenty plus years after she passed away. I love that you took us back and forth from the present to the past and back again while he was talking with Kathleen or remembering her and things they did. I couldn't imagine Jack with anyone else after reading about how much he loved her and still loves her. There were some points where there were tears in my eyes while reading this one.

absolutely perfect

I don’t think a more perfect story could have been written for Jack. Here we get his back story, his romance with Kathleen, and the boys as babies and growing up. We learn how and why the Ghost Team came into being.
But we also experience the heartache of the loss of Kathleen and Jack’s struggle to go on. This has all been cleverly segued into continuing present day events throughout the book. So we also get to follow the seven Callaghan boys, now men, and their families too. Excellent story telling, great read, thank you Abbie.

Fair warning...if you have loved the characters in the first 8books of this series you will need plenty of tissues. Jack and Kathleen are a fabulous couple. I think every woman (and man) want to be loved as fiercely, passionately and faithfully as Jack and Kathleen love each other. I cried more than once, Jack has lived without his heart for over 20 years and thinks he should be able to move on, and Kathleen won't let him (nor will his sons). I loved this book, I loved that Jack was still faithful to Kathleen, I loved the writing and catching up with everyone. I especially loved reading Jack and Kathleen's story through him reliving it in his memories. This is truly an EPIC conclusion to the Callaghan Brothers series by Abbie Zanders.

This story will take you though a range of emotions - from sadness to happiness, concern for Jack's recovery to a sense of the deep love between Jack and Kathleen, and the love of love and camaraderie of the siblings and their spouses. It was great reading the story of the Callaghan family and there place in the community, plus how their involvement in covert ops got started. Reading this story makes me want to go back and reread the whole series.

Really good read

Oh gosh the last in this family series and what a rollercoaster ride it’s been. Great catching up with the boys and their families ,but also getting progress on their story. This story is about jack the father and his deceased wife. The story goes from past to present but due to the authors good writing skills it’s done well. Enjoyed the story but felt an opportunity was missed by the author.

Perfect

Thank you Ms. Zanders for not giving Jack a "new love/partner". He is perfect just the way he is. As for him "talking" to Kathleen, good for him. Good for him in not listening to society or religion or anyone or anything about such phenomenon. If we listened to our hearts and instincts more I feel we would be a better society. This is a great series. Readers encourage your friends, especially your male friends to read this series.
