Rate this book
Almost 100 Cited Scientific Studies To Create Real Change In Your Life!

Don’t worry, I don’t go into great detail regarding the boring science stuff. I give just enough to understand the “why” and then we focus completely on the “how”.

Most of us have a laundry list of goals we would love to achieve. Goals in health, fitness, business , and our personal lives that we know if we could just achieve them they would greatly increase the quality of our lives. However, they always seem just a bit out of our reach. When these goals don't materialize many of us get discouraged and maybe even give up on them, especially when we see others achieving their goals with relative ease! But deep inside you know that you too can achieve your goals, the only question is how.

The answer to this question lies in your ability to create daily habits that enable you to persistently pursue goals while enjoying the experience. It is the self-discipline and willpower to commit to your daily tasks and actions in a way that is enjoyable and fulfilling that will make you the person capable of achieving all your long-term goals and building the life of your dreams.

This book is not a "just because" self-help book. Every suggested course of action is backed by verified and real scientific studies. With nearly 100 cited sources this book is a wealth of real and applicable changes you can start applying in your life today that will create real and permanent results! You just need the self-discipline you already possess and the willingness to take the first step. Inertia will take over and the change you desire will happen...as long as you are willing to take the first step.

Here are a few things we will cover in the book (this list just scratches the surface):

I'm not going to lie to you or sell wolf-tickets here. The truth is that the life of your dreams hinges completely on your ability to master the art of self-discipline. This is going to require you to take some action and put in some work. There are no easy fixes in life. The people who achieve their long-term goals work for it . Don't you deserve to reap the rewards of being the person who accomplishes the goals they set in front of themselves? This isn't a "hype book." Just real science and how to apply them to work in your life. Scroll up and buy the book now.

In addition you will receive a complimentary book offer as a gift and thanks for buying my book.

I am a person without much patience for political-type speeches kind of books (the ones that talk a lot without much practical usage). There's a lot of good books out there that will advocate eating right, creating good habits, being mindful and thankful for things in life and being patient with yourself and so on that just don't cut it for me. At least half lose themselves in great details and studies, whereas for me, the reader, that's only important up to a certain point. And that point is my need to understand the basic mechanisms so that I know how the process of what I'm reading about works. After that, all of those cited studies become just an obstacle to get something practical out of the book.

But this however, is not the case! The book is written very to the point. It'a self help book with which you can truly work. It has it all: motivation, habits, discipline, brain training, pros and cons, tips and tricks, you name it. And the best thing about it is that you can apply everything that is in there. It's practically a workbook. And I just love that.

I have started to organize myself for a short time now, a little under a year, but it has been enough to make me recognize good advice from bad on this topic. And this book is just great, it provides a lot of value for how short it is and for how much it costs. And it feels that the author knows what he is saying, I recognized many of his advice coming from experience. Which is always appreciated.

The origin of the author is unknown and Oliver McAndrew is just an alias. He presumably is an economist and wrote a lot of other books. This is quite intriguing because it kind of reminds me of Tim Ferriss in regards of style and practicality. I can't find anything else published by the author but I sure hope I will because I can really work with books like this one. If anyone can recommend anything else by the author, please write to me, I will be all ears (or in this case, eyes).

Who edited this book? The first sentence in chapter 1:
"How can I do to become more successful?" Shouldn't it be: "What can I do to become more successful?"

Under the heading, "How do you develop Self-Discipline?

First line:

"If you are dreaming of creating self-discipline like the one you see other people possess, all is not lost."
WHAT?????

One more. Next paragraph:

"No single process takes overnight only to mature."

I am returning this book after TRYING to read only a few pages.

A simple and easy to read book. It is an appropriate option for those who don’t like to read much explanations and description. At the end of each chapter the author summaries its main ideas through the synopsis which is quite useful. During the reading of this book has not experienced any “aha” moment, most probably due to the fact that it was not my first book on a self-discipline topic.
