Rate this book
This is the FINAL book in the six part serial. This book is from BOTH Grace and Blake's points-of-view and will be more than twice the size of the other serial installments.

She doesn’t know how bad I’m willing to be…

For years, Grace Copeland was the one woman I couldn’t have. Now she’s mine.

Mine to possess. Mine to protect.

Mine to kill for.

He doesn’t realize how far from good I’ve come…

Blake Carson was first my nemesis, then my boss, and now my lover. He’s determined to shield me from the threat that surrounds us, closer than we could ever guess.

But I’m no one’s damsel, and I might be going down…but I won’t go down alone.

This time, when we fight, we’ll fight back to back—or not at all. No matter the consequences.

Win, lose, love, death. Whatever it takes.

A hot and shocking conclusion to an already exciting serial.
“I’d wanted her for so long that I scarcely remembered what it was to breathe without her in my head. She’d intoxicated me from the first day I’d laid eyes on her so many years ago.”

Blake Carson rose to success from nothing. Forbidden to have the one woman he wanted until the very same person who made her unavailable demanded he take care of her and not even Grace knows the lengths he’s willing to go to protect her and make her his.
“Before I’d ever touched her, before I’d fully understood what true want was, I’d understood this woman would be my decimation.”

Grace Copeland set out to get back what Blake had taken from her. In the process she became his employee and lover and slowly discovered how intricately intertwined their lives have been for many years without her knowledge and fell in love with him. Now that her life is in danger all he wants is to shield her while she demands they do it together. Can they take down their enemies before it’s too late?
“She’d seemed about as dangerous as a rainbow. A million different colors, diffused by the light. Utterly untouchable.”

It seems like I waited for this last installment forever. I could hardly wait to get the answers to all my questions and when I finally did, I completely devoured this book. Yes, of course partly because it’s a relatively short read, but mostly because it’s skillfully written by the great dynamic duo that is Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot.
“You’re a miracle I never thought I’d be worthy of.”

I was shocked by the amount of twists, turns and surprises that were revealed and personally, it’s always satisfying when I can’t figure out who done it! Just as I was happily content by how much Grace and Blake grew as a couple, because it was obvious they felt deeply for one another, but their execution was so off as they went from one extreme to the other.
“Look at me. Look at us.” God, was that my voice? He straightened as he stared at us in the mirror. He gripped my braid again, slightly arching me back. “Is this what you want?”

Besides the big mystery being resolved, Blake had to reveal all his secrets to Grace and fully admit his feelings towards her, while she not only put some limits to his highhandedness, she demanded equal treatment in their relationship which was nice to see. I loved their journey and adored that they found their happy ending.
“I loved you from the first moment I set eyes on you.” Saying it aloud seemed like coming full circle. Like I been razed by fire, scorched to the marrow and burned clean.

It seems as though I always reserve a section of my Cari+Taryn reviews to talk about their writing and I don’t intend to stop now. Not only does their collaboration feel seamless, their prose is so expressive and has a wonderful pace. Whether their writing about cowboys, rock stars or domineering business men, their writing gets me every time. I can’t wait to read Jack’s story!

This is the sixth and final in The Boss serial by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. It is strongly advised that these be read in order. The story is told from both points of view and has a happy ending.

This is the sixth and final book in series by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott. At the end of the last book, Blake and Grace were left with information on a thumb drive that they found and are now trying to decode it. Blake also was left with a message from Grave's grandmother that Grace was in trouble. He is determined to protect her, even if he has to keep some secrets in order to keep her safe, but Grace isn't having that.

"I don't want a protector. I want a partner. I want you to treat me like an equal. No more secrets. I want all of the pieces of you. Even the ones you don't trust."

This was such a interesting and mysterious series. I enjoyed finding out how Blake and Grace's pasts were intertwined. Many times I thought I had things figured out and knew what was going on, but each time I was wrong. I'm looking forward to reading Blake's best friend, Jack's story.

Was I surprised with the ending to “The Boss”? Yes and no. I was hoping that Blake would become a man and figure out what he has to do to keep Grace and that Grace would face her real feelings for Blake. I got a little bit of both.

We finally find out Blakes past and it really does blow up in his face. But, in typical Blake way, he finds his way out of the messes. He even tries his damnest to be romantic but the lies just keep getting in the way. He finally has to man-up, face the music and admit the truth to Grace. He has no idea how she will take the full story or if she’ll even want to be around him, never mind love him. Yes, he finally admits that he loves her, at least to himself.

As for Grace … she grew a spine and refused to let Blake really walk all over her. Well, unless it was in the bedroom. Then again, she started taking what she wanted, when she wanted it as well. She had a lot to face as the truth about Blake, Annabel and Philomena finally come out. How she dealt with the truth was going to be the telling sign as to the rest of her life.

We are surprised with who is trying to kill her and why. We learn about the secret room. We learn about just how devious and controlling her grandmother was. We go on a helicopter ride and have a beautiful Italian meal that ends in disaster. We fall in love with Blake, finally, and cheer him on as the truth about him is revealed. And, we cheer Grace on as she becomes a strong, independent woman standing up for what she believes in and holding her own against Blake.

As for how this ended … my heart melted and I just knew that Blake and Grace, after all the lies, the half-truths, the death threats, would be fine. And, in typical Blake fashion, it was over the top!

I love the writing of Cari and Taryn. They didn’t let you sit for one moment and ponder what was going on or where it was leading. They kept the story moving, kept you guessing, and surprised you around every turn. It was mysterious, fun and extremely sexy and I am so looking forward to Jack’s story. They made it clear that there is way more to him than we got to see.

As a MAJOR fan of these authors, I have been reading this serial since the beginning. I've run the full gamut of emotions; from scratching my head trying to figure out wtf was going on, to reading each page desperately needing to make sure Blake & Grace were ok, to squirming in my seat reading the smexxy times, to anxiously awaiting the next installment because I NEEDED to see what was next. And that was just the first few installments, lol.

And then we get to this one... the final book.

There were so many twists & turns that I literally DEVOURED this story. And to see the relationship between Blake & Grace really take off hit that perfect "sweet spot" right in my feels. But then all their secrets start coming to light and we FINALLY get to find out how Blake knew Grace and why he bought the house.
(Oh yeah, and it's a DOOZY!)

And then we have the mystery of what Annabelle was hiding, and why someone broke into her house. I can honestly say that for once, I never had a inkling of who was behind everything & it shocked me stupid. <- and THIS is the mark of a fantastic book.

In all, I have to say that even though Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott never disappoint, they outdid themselves with this one. Thanks ladies, for yet another fantastic ride!

WTF ?

The last book was a big mess. We know some of the things about the big mistery but overall nothing is clear! The end was rushed and not explained. While i get that maybe Jack is going to have his story, after 6 books i hoped for something better built and explained than that. the love story is also weird and i didn't understand the secrets between them when obviously they were told almost on the next chapter.
It was weird, messy with little to no explanations. It's a bummer after such a good start to the story and a nice mistery ...

OMG! What a finale! I really love how Cari and Taryn pulled it all together. I didn't begin to suspect the perpetrator until the end of Volume 5 and by the beginning of Volume 6 I was almost certain of who it was.

And seeing Blake and Grace really open up and let out all their secrets was wonderful. I just wish there had been more at the end of the book. It didn't end on a cliffhanger, but not all ends were neatly wrapped up. What happened to the people threatening Grace was not revealed. I am hoping more information will be available in The CEO Jack's book, when it ever it is released.

All in all, this serial was fantastic and I can't wait for it to be available in paperback so I can add it to my shelves!

What's that? Can you hear the angels singing? Finally we get answers.

This final installment wraps up all of the drama that has been surrounding Blake and Grace. The secrets are revealed and the characters find closure. I really enjoyed the intrigue and heat that this serial gave us. Thank goodness I come across it when it was completed though. I can't imagine if I had to wait for the next installment to be released.

This story had so many twists and turns there were times I thought it would be hard to keep it all straight, but Cari and Taryn do a great job at writing a complicated story that was easy to follow. They even redeemed a couple of the characters that I thought were completely nonredeemable as the lies started to unfold.

As Blake and Grace are trying to decipher the last diary pages left by her Grandma, Annabelle, Blake is torn. For one, after learning, per Annabelle, that Grace is in danger, he's willing to do anything to protect her. But, there's also the fact that she still doesn't know the whole truth regarding his past presence in her life and how greatly she impacted his course.

Blake wants to tell her the truth, has wanted to for a while, but he also believes he can predict her reaction and that would be to get as far away from him as possible. He can't have that...she must be safe and he's determined to keep her that way.

For Grace, not only is she still grieving for her Grandma, but now she's also learning her Grandma kept secrets from her, potentially dangerous ones. Not to mention, while Blake was finally truthful about their connected pasts, and she's reeling from the revelation, she also knows he's still keeping something from her.

For these two, their give and take power struggle is something they thrive on, not to mention their undeniably scorching attraction to one another. When you add in the love they both feel, yet are reluctant to admit, when they come together, heck, when they're just in the same vicinity, you can see the sparks igniting the air they breathe. They're drawn to each other in indescribable ways, but there's always that piece of themselves they hold back from the other.

For Grace, the almost constant all in Blake versus the emotionally withdrawn Blake is hard to handle. She loves all the various sides of him, yet she needs to know he's fully invested in them. As for Blake, he hasn't once believed that Grace would ever fully be his. He feels she's always been out of his league, therefore out of his reach, so he's enjoying every moment he can have with her now, storing up the memories to help him endure the pain after she's gone.

Can these two discover why Annabelle was so concerned about Grace's safety? Will they ever fully let down their defenses and admit how deeply they love each other? Can they have a HEA? As for Jack, Blake's CEO and friend, will he find his one and have a chance at forever?

One-click now to see the conclusion of Blake and Grace's love story. Find out how a chance meeting leads to the love they both dreamed about, yet never thought they'd have.

Please be aware that this is part six of their story and you must read the previous five installlments in order to fully understand the intricacies of their past, present, and future.

This was a great series that should not be missed. It keeps you on the edge of your seat with lies, betrayal, and danger around every corner while enjoying lots of sweet, sexy parts. Young love at first sight - forbidden but never forgotten.

In this final book we learn about their lives growing up, the answers to some of the mysteries and lies around them, and Annabelle’s secrets. Cari and Taryn again kept me guessing to the end. Every time I thought I knew what was happening another twist in the road. I don’t know how these girls do it, but they write one great story after another. I was so happy to learn THE CEO - Jack’s story is coming. I’m hoping this story will give us even more answers.

Wow, I cannot believe this story of Blake and Grace is over! Talk about wrapping it up...so sad that it's over.

Definitely worth the wait. So many lies and trouble. The intricacies of lives that are unraveled, the mystery revealed and the love united.

There were lots of surprises, yeah, I didn't figure on the perpetrator at all. Nicely done Taryn & Cari. Twists and turns abound and I love how through it all Grace and Blake keep coming back together. It was a bit dicey there for a while where I figured Grace was going to throw in the towel, but that would have been so sad!

If you haven't read 1-5, grab them now and binge read this weekend! The finale of #6 is fantastic.

This last episode of Cari Quinn's and Taryn Elliot's The Boss vol. 6 left me wanting so much more. Yes there were answered questions but there were just as many left unanswered and new questions posed. It was, as alwys, well written. These two collaborate brilliantly, but... just when I thought we'd get more it ended! Okay, there is another book to come concentrating on Jack, the Best Friend, but I was really shocked by their audacity to leave so much unexplained. Just as well that fans of these two authors will buy just about everything they write, because this really was not an ending; really it's just another tease! But I loved it; can wait for more.

The Boss Volume 6

Grace and Blake have cracked the code into the files her grandmother was keeping. Annabelle was involved in the mob and is trying to keep her granddaughter safe. Long ago Annabelle made Blake sign a contract to leave Grace alone but in the end she wanted to do the right thing and let them decide if they want to be together. Can Blake and Grace get over all the lies they've been telling each other? Will love be enough? Great read.

My kind of story

This story has more twists and turns than a mountain road. The biggest flaw I could find was the serialization. Fortunately I didn't start to read this until I had all of it and only had to find the various volumes on my reader. Only way to read a serial. Otherwise, a totally HOT romance *fanning self* with mystery and Intregue galore. My kind of story.

•••••••••

REVIEW: 4.25 stars-- THE BOSS part six is the final installment in Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott’s serialized, erotic romance HOT BILLIONAIRE ROMANCE series focusing on billionaire glass entrepreneur Blake Carson, and glass artist Grace Copeland. There is a slight cross-over (by way of mention of some of the characters) with Quinn and Elliott’s LOST IN OBLIVION series.

SOME BACKGROUND: Several week’s earlier, Grace’s grandmother died, and billionaire Blake Carson purchased up the family home leaving Grace homeless with no where to turn except the man in charge.

Told from dual first person points of view (Blake and Grace) part six focuses on uncovering the truth about her grandmother’s connection to the local townsfolk and organized crime, and the lies that continue to grow between our leading couple.

Blake is a man whose history is steeped in betrayal and mistrust, but his connection to Grace goes deeper than property ownership, employer to employee, lover and best friend. Grace’s grandmother held many secrets and those secrets are about to come full circle and threaten the lives of Blake and Grace.

Part six is a revealing and intriguing installment with some twist and turns that follow an unexpected path. Grace is destroyed by the knowledge that she never truly knew her grandmother, and Blake’s role in her life was intentional and not by pure luck. There are moments of mystery and suspense; romance and $ex; betrayal and uncovering the truth. Grace’s emotional fall out is not unexpected; she can no longer trust the people in her life. The premise is energetic; the characters are passionate and intense; the romance is vibrant and deeply sexual. Grace and Blake spend most of the installment digging into her grandmother’s past.

My only issue is the quick conflict resolution and the lack of information regarding the people involved-we do not learn the other’s fate or what happened in the ensuing time.

In conclusion, THE BOSS is an engaging and exciting story line. Grace and Blake, for all intents and purposes, is a fantastic couple both in and out of the bedroom (and boardroom). The sexual tension is palpable; the secrets and deception have the potential to destroy the building friendship and possible future. The story line execution is wonderful, evenly paced, and well written.

A much awaited excellent ending and conclusion to The Boss series.
Blake and Grace are finally getting the answers to all the questions that have been raised in the first five books. The twists and suspense while coming to the answers, along with my attempting to figure out who had done what in the story. We find out finally what happened to Grace's grandmother, Annabelle, and the mystery of the burglary to her grandmothers house.

Through Blakes, teens and adult life, he has loved Grace. He has made his, artwork with glass, a billionaire and stayed away from Grace. Now that he has Grace, in his home and office, it's time to reveal who he is and what she means to him.

Grace has been so involved in her artwork, from a young age she has had only one focus, to the extent of not noticing what was happening around her and who has been in and out of her life. With her grandmothers help, she was able to create her art and not worry about anything else.

Until her grandmother died. Now her focus has been on Blake, and finding out what and how he was involved with her grandmother. Why did he buy her grandmothers home? And also who, why, burglarized her grandmothers home and what were they looking for?

Now she not only works for Blake, she's working as his assistant, living and sleeping in his bed with him. Not only sleeping with him, she's fallen in love with him. He's helping her find the answers to all the questions and more. How is he involved? is he involved? Why is Blake so willing to help her find the questions? What will happen when the answers are revealed? Will they survive the answers?

This is an awesome ending to a great series. These ladies have held us in suspense with the previous books cliffhangers, for months, and now they have given us even more. More in the sense of once you start reading the story you have to read until the ending is revealed. You must read straight through, you are so invested in the story, that you can't put it down. You know the answers are in this stories ending.

As all who have read other books by these two authors, together and individually, when you purchase and read their stories you know it will be a great read and at times you will reread an individual book or a series again, with the anticipation of another book being released. These well written stories give you a storybook life memories, that you will comeback to again and again.

The Boss Vol. 6 is the final installment in this serial from writing duo Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. This story revolves around Grace and Blake, and this particular book alternates perspectives of both of the main characters. If you haven’t done so already, definitely check out vol. 1-5 before picking this one up (I had to go back and re-read the others so that I didn’t feel lost when I started vol. 6)!

Throughout the series we’ve witnessed the rollercoaster that is Grace and Blake’s relationship. One moment they are all over each other and the next one is pushing the other away. While they still have issues to work through in this part of the series, especially as it relates to their past and the people around them, they are definitely more open and affectionate towards one another in this final book. In between the evolution of their relationship, we’ve also had a mystery play out revolving around Grace’s grandmother, Annabelle, who passed away at the start of the series and whose death brought Blake and Grace back into each other’s lives. This book provides a lot of detail and answers many questions that were brought to light throughout the earlier books. I don’t want to provide spoilers, however it becomes clear that so much of what (and who) both Grace and Blake thought they knew, was not in fact what it seemed.

I am a big fan of Cari and Taryn and would highly recommend The Boss series, especially to those who enjoy romantic suspense! This is a story that will capture your attention and keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. There were, however, several questions and situations that seemed to be left up in the air so I look forward to possibly reading any continuing stories that may provide more insight into some of the other characters!

So this is the final installment of this serial and as expected, there were a few twists and some really serious stuff happening between Grace and Blake.

It's time for Blake to open up and let Grace know what he's been hiding all along. It was fairly clear that he had been holding something back, and there were some nice surprises here. Nice because I wasn't really expecting what was revealed. I love being surprised like that.

As for Grace, she stumbles across some information about Blake too. The scenes between Grace and Blake as they square off over the lies and ommissions are some of the best in this installment, perhaps the entire series. I really liked how the tension built with each book in the serial, along with the mystery involving Grace's grandmother.

I've had this series on my TBR for some time and when the last book came out, I devoured the entire series in about a day. The action moves along quickly and these books are packed with some real heat along with a little mystery that brings some nice suspense. It was more than the typical billionairre romance for me and I really liked that about this series.

I really love how Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott know exactly how to balance the drama and the smoking hot lovin to craft stories that are just fun to read and don't take themselves too seriously. Their stories always leave me with a smile, and I appreciate that as a reader very much.

So, I definitely loved the conclusion to the series, and recommend that you grab this series up for yourself, especially if you are in the mood for some hot boss action.

When I let these two authors lead me on this journey I never imagined the twists, turns, dead ends, and switch backs I would be forced to navigate. It’s been a wild quest from the very first chapter, filled with mystery, intrigue, a lifetime obsession, mistrust, new love, and intense passion. And I’ve loved every second of it.

I’ve always been able to easily guess the villain and plotline early in a story. Except with this. Around book four, frustrated and confused, I gave up trying to solve the multitude of mysteries and just enjoyed the ride, knowing the authors would wrap things up in a neat bow at the end. Which they did–for the most part. I wasn’t disappointed. Shocked, yes, because who could have even guessed what was going on, let alone all those involved?

In this final installment, with the help of the secondary characters and cameos by many others from other Quinn & Elliott books, all the secrets Blake had been keeping were revealed. His connection to Grace and her grandmother explained. Their love for one another finally admitted. Just like the other five installments, it was perfection.

These authors always deliver a superb read, but THE BOSS transcends all their previous works. It was perfectly executed and an excellent choice for my first foray into the serial world. I’m eager to read their next serial featuring one of the secondary characters. If you love a fantastic enemies to lovers story with lots of steam and a complex plot thrown in just for “fun”, this is your crack. It’ll take you straight to your happy place.

So, suppose that the people that you loved the most in the world weren't exactly who you thought they were. And suppose that they were hiding some pretty serious secrets. Would it rock your world?

The plot has thickened, clues have been dropped, but finally, finally, we're getting to the bottom of the deep dark secrets that Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott have so artfully woven throughout the previous installments of THE BOSS.

Grace and Blake are close to finding out the truth about what Annabelle was hiding. But there are people that would go to drastic lengths to make sure that those secrets remain hidden, and figuring out who is friend and who is enemy makes for a gripping read, full of intrigue, suspense, and passion.

Cari and Taryn have done a fabulous job of wrapping up this series, and done it with their trademark intensity and sizzle. Because, above all, THE BOSS is a story of the relationship between a man and a woman, and the twisting path that has brought them to each other, and I could not have loved it more.

So, 5+ hotter than ever stars for THE BOSS: VOL 6. It's a definite must-read, along with the rest of the series, and a great way to prepare for more Jack Hollister. Yep, more Jack to come, and I couldn't be more excited, so get reading, and get ready!
