About the author

Rita Bradshaw was born on 1949 in Northampton, England, where she was educated as a good Christian. She met Clive, her husband, at the age of 16 andnow the magic is still there. They have three lovely children, Cara, Faye, and Benjamin, and have always had a menagerie of animals in the house, which at the present is confined to two endearing and very comical dogs who would make a great double act on TV! The children, friends, and pets all keep the house buzzing and the food cupboards empty but Helen wouldn't have it any other way. She still lives today in Northampton with her family. Although having enjoyed some wonderful holidays abroad she has never been tempted to live anywhere else, although she rather likes the idea of a holiday home close to the sea one day.

Being a committed Christian and fervent animal lover she finds spare time is always at a premium, but long walks in the countryside with her husband and dogs, meals out followed by the cinema or theatre, reading, swimming, and having friends over for dinner are all fitted in somehow. She also enjoys sitting in her wonderfully therapeutic, rambling old garden in the sun with a glass of red wine, (under the guise of resting while thinking of course!)

For years, she was a secretary. She began writing in 1990 as she approached that milestone of a birthday 40! She realized her two teenage ambitions (writing a novel and learning to drive) had been lost amid babies and hectic family life, so set about resurrecting them.

Her first novel was for Mills and Boon and was accepted after one rewrite in 1992 as Helen Brooks, and she passed her driving test (the former was a joy and the latter an unmitigated nightmare!) She has written 50 novels as well as several sagas as Rita Bradshaw.

Since becoming a full-time writer she has found her occupation one of pure joy and often surprised when her characters develop a mind of their own but she loves exploring what makes people tick and finds the old adage "truth is stranger than fiction" to be absolutely true. She would love to hear from any readers care of Mills & Boon.

La tematica era interesante. Pero creo que no se resolvio satisfactoriamente. Le doy 3 estrellas porque estuvo bien,pero solo 3 por que el final fue...rapido, salteandose explicaciones, como si estuviera apurada.

The theme was interesting. But I think it was not satisfactorily resolved. I give it 3 stars because it was good, but only 3 because the ending was... fast, skipping explanations, as if it was in a hurry.

Ella temerosa y el le da todo el tiempo del mundo, en medio de un paisaje blanco y de navidad. Me gustó mucho esta novela a pesar de los temores de ella que son bastante bien fundados por el pasado.

I haven’t read a romance novel in many years and grabbed this off my shelf for a break from so much news about the coronavirus. It was truly an entertaining break this afternoon. It was like reading a Hallmark movie!! I do wish there had been more Christmas involved. It was only incidental to the story and the title suggests more. But the book delivered on escapism and I found myself thinking about what my Flynn would be like—thoughts that I sure will lead to pleasant dreams!

Creo que le doy 3.5 puntos buen inicio, buen protagonista masculino, pero la historia le falta algo, la chica es muy dudosa pero se sobre entiende que es por la falta desconfianza que l causo el engaño de su prometido, al final te deja con ganas de más como "mucho ruido y pocas nueces", pura combustión espontanea jajajaja

The main character is unlikeable and she jumps to conclusions wayyyyy to much. Borning read. Frustrating.

The writing was very good, very eloquent and sophisticated. Which was kind of annoying and pompous. The book was too unrealistic. Everything was all sunshine and rainbows. The characters were unrealistic, the setting too. And the way the author described the people, like they were models, was annoying and sickening. It wasn't very christmassy and the time frames were odd. Ike one scene would be a chapter, then days would be covered in a paragraph. The chick was stupid. So unbelievably stupid. Ad Flynn, first off, two ys, really? Is that nesicary? he was just odd. I don't know, something was off about him. I would have liked if the story would have shown his point of view.
