Shelter Me
At the young age of nineteen, Shayne Andrews thought she had it all. She had the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, and a bright future ahead of her. That is, until one day he just disappeared, leaving a note as his only goodbye. With her heart shattered and broken, Shayne did the only thing she could. She left her small town on the shores of Lake Michigan to start her life over, needing to distance herself from the memories she and Luke had made. At that time, she vowed to herself that she would never return to her hometown again. Seven years later, Shayne realizes that fate is not on her side as she returns home for her aunt’s funeral, bringing back the one secret she swore to protect.

Luke Schavone has regretted every day that he had to leave Shayne behind. Though he didn’t have a choice, his heart still bore the scars from the impact. After five years, Luke returned only to find that Shayne was gone. His best friend was the only lifeline he had to find her, but Adam wasn’t talking. When the one thing Luke has wanted every day for the past seven years runs right into him one night, he becomes determined to make sure he doesn’t lose her again.

At first, Shayne is hesitant. She wouldn’t be able to survive losing him again, but the pull toward him is so fierce, she can’t deny herself the chance. With the decision to start over, Luke and Shayne must admit truths and come to terms with the events that forced them apart in the first place. When secrets are revealed and old threats come to pass, will Luke be able to shelter Shayne from the destruction, or will she become lost to him forever?

Rescue Me
Erin McIntyre is a survivor. Four years ago she bundled up her six-year-old daughter and set sail into uncharted waters with nothing more than the will to survive. When offered a place to stay and a new job by her best friend's cousin, Adam, she simply cannot refuse...but he quickly becomes more than a friend. Afraid to love again, Erin remains steadfast, certain the only person she can trust is herself. But when her past comes knocking, threatening to tear her carefully constructed world apart, the support of a man who believes in her more than she does herself will be the one thing that can keep her head above water. Will old habits prove too hard to break and leave Erin drowning in a sea of self-doubt, or can she let go of her fears and learn to love once more?

Adam Payne never thought he would find love; he wasn’t even looking for it. However, after Erin McIntyre walks into his life he finds himself falling hard and fast for her. Determined to show Erin that she is worthy of not only his love but of herself, he will stop at nothing to make this woman his. But when Erin’s past comes back to haunt them all, will Adam be able to rescue her from her worst fear?

Keep Me

Four months ago Shelby Morris left Michigan with bitter words to Antonio Schavone. Words that cut him deep. Made him re-think every aspect of his life.
Even when she left he didn’t give up. He’s changed, and he wants her.
And now she’s coming back!
She has her reasons for why she said what she did. A secret she has carried with her since she was a teenager. The reason why she has never let herself get close to a man. The reason why she lives only for her job. The reason why she doesn’t feel like a complete woman. Her sister Erin doesn’t even know why she has never had a relationship.
Will he be able to break through her strong-willed ways? Make her realize he doesn’t care what her secret is and show her she is definitely the one he wants.

A fantastic series!

I have really enjoyed getting to know these awesome characters, the love that they have for one another, and watching them finally get the HEA they deserved. There was plenty of humor, angst, drama, suspense, and unexpected twists that will keep you turning the pages until the very end.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.

Great Alpha Romances

What a wonderful series at a great price. Kathy Coopermans really hit it out of the ballpark (hahaha). The men in this series were all sexy alphas. The woman even though with their secrets really were great advocates for themselves.

I really have to stop reading books by this author. I've tried 3 different times to read 3 different books by this author and I haven't made it through one yet. I just cannot get over how over the top cheesy these books are, they are almost unbelievable.

I loved this box set. Three books in one which is the complete collection of the series.

Shelter Me, book one in the series follows the story of Shayne and Luke. This couple have been apart for 7 years and after Shayne returns home to deal with family matters she is surprised to come across Luke who disappeared with his family one night when they were 19. What unfolds is are revelations and secrets on both sides which I won't spoil but I loved where Kathy took the story. Shayne and Luke were always meant to be and this charming story allows love and forgiveness to become the backbone of the plot. The introduction of the secondary characters whose stories we follow in the other two books is also expertly done as by the time we have finished with Luke and Shayne, we certainly want to know more about Erin, Adam and Antonio.

A perfect start to a sweet series.

Rescue Me is book two in the Shelter Me series and is the most hard hitting of all, dealing with domestic abuse. Kathy Coopmans does this with sensitivity, understanding and delicacy and Adam's role in this book is pivotal in allowing Erin to deal with her past abuse and current threats that take place in the book. My only issue really is that the sexual element of their relationship appears to happen quite fast but realistically they have known each other for a while as Erin was a neighbour of Shayne's while she lived in Texas, so I'm probably being more picky than I need to be. If I'm honest I just loved all of these books and characters that I would want Kathy to probably have written more for each story!

The interactions between all of the characters is so genuine and the friendships have continued to come across from book one into this one too. I love that Lucy and Sierra are included in both books and their relationships with strong male father figures are just beautiful. This book has me laughing and sighing at times while also gasping and fighting my irritation at others. This book while challenging in its subject matter is so well written it's hard not to like. The introduction of Shelby, Erin's sister is great for some comic and not so comic relief and I can't wait to see how her and Antonio play out in the final book, Keep Me.

Keep Me is the third and final installment of the Shelter Me series (sniff, sniff) and it is so typical Kathy Coopmans style that it's hard not to love. All the previous characters are present along with the introduction of Marcus who is just the most amazing and funny best friend EVER! Shelby is not only dealing with the consequences of the previous books ending but also a secret she has held from everyone since she was 13. This secret as everyone she knows has grown up and got their HEA plays on Shelby's heart and Antonio is just the dominant and devoted man that she needs to pull her through. The banter between these two characters has always been the comic element in the series and in this final book I laughed so hard at times I almost cried.

This book is just as well written as the previous two and although I am sad the series has come to an end, Kathy Coopmans has ended the series in such a way that if this is all we have of these great characters then I am a happy reader. Would I love more, of course I would but that's the role of a great author right, to hook you in and make you fall in love with the characters and stories they create.

A beautiful series with some beautiful individuals and some perfect stories. This is a box set to cuddle up on the sofa with and simply settle in and enjoy. I basically couldn't put it down and read all three in one sitting - can't wait to read more by Kathy Coopmans!

Shelter Me:
If your looking for a great love story, with some twists, and turns, this is the book your looking for, you will fall in love with Luke and Shayne, and sweet Lucy too. Luke and Shayne so in love when they were younger, but something comes up, and Luke and his family just disappears without a word. Shayne was left heart broken, so she leaves town to start her life somewhere else. When a death in the family brings her back home, little does she know that her life is about to be turned upside down, and will never be the same. I loved her cousin Adam, he has always been very protective of her, and such a good friend, always there for her no matter what. Lucy is just the sweetest little girl ever, I love her. Bubba, and Jen great friends. This book is amazing I would definitely recommend it, it's a 10 star book, so grab it up now, you won't be disappointed. Can't wait for book 2 Resue Me Adam and Erin's story.

Rescue Me:
This book is emotional, full of suspense, and their is parts that will make you scream. I wanted to jump through my kindle, and hurt Erins ex husband for all the physical, and emotional pain, he caused her for so many years. I was so glad Erin met Adam he bought the sunlight back into her life, and made her feel like she was worth something, and showed her she could trust him, and she knew sooner or later he would own her heart. I Loved Adam's relationship with Sierra, (Erin's daughter), he treated her like she was his own daughter, he loved her so much. Adam is the sweetest, caring, loving person, and super protective of the ones he loves. Her sister Shelby is awesome, love her smart mouth, and the close relationship they have, she would do anything for Erin. The ending had me on the edge of my seat, I couldn't put the book down until I finished. I can't wait for the next book Keep Me ( Shelby and Antonio story). I'm addicted to Kathy Coopmans books their amazing!

Keep Me:
Antonio stole my heart, not only is he Hot and Sexy, but he has an Amazing heart. I loved how much he cared about Shelby, and would do anything for her. Their was a strong attraction between them, that neither one could fight and would sooner or later give into. Shelby is sweet and innocent, never been with a man before, but is turned on by Antonio, he brings feeling out of her that she has never felt before, and that scares her a little, she has things she is hiding that she doesn't feel like she can trust anyone with. Her best friend Markus is awesome, who wouldn't want someone like that to be their buddy, he is everything you look for in a friend. Antonio has always been a playboy, that is until he meets Shelby, than he just wants what everyone close to him has, a family, and someone to love, and when he sees Shelby again she turns his world upside down, and he can't get her out of his head. Antonio and Shelby story will melt your heart, and you will fall in love with them. I'm sad this is the last book, this is one of my favorite series, love Antonio, I definitely recommend this book, and the Series, they are all Amazing.

Shelter Me (Shelter Me #1)

5 star

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, betrayal, lies, secrets, danger, suspense, and heartbreak.

This is Shayne and Luke’s story. After Luke left Shayne with just a note she soon realizes she can’t stay in town with the memories. She moves away and only comes back when her Aunt passes away. When she comes back she comes face to face with her past. Luke is in town and wants to see her. She tries to avoid him but he tracks her down. As they hash out the past Shayne know the secret she is holding could be the end of whatever they are building between them. Will she be forgiving for the secret she kept? When the danger comes for them will Luke be able to protect them? Or have they gotten back together only for the secrets and past to rip them apart forever?

There are some tear filled moments and some anger filled moments in this story. But all in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, betrayal, secrets, kidnapping, danger, suspense, and heartbreak.

This is Erin and Adam’s story. Erin and her daughter are staying with Adam until they get on their feet in a new town. Erin and Adam are friends but the chemistry between them is hot. Erin has a hard time trusting people. The closer they grow the more Erin wants to trust Adam but can she. Can she finally have a relationship with someone with who she does not have to fear? Can she trust her feeling with Adam or will he let her down? When he learns of her past will he still want her? When her past comes back to haunt her can she trust Adam to save her and protect her daughter?

There are some tear filled moments and some anger filled moments in this story. But all in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Rescue Me (Shelter Me, #2)

This is Shelby and Antonio’s story. Shelby wants Antonio but gave up on love years ago. Antonio is determined to have Shelby. He knows why she pushed him away and he just wants her to give him a chance. He works at getting her away so they can spend time together but will she go? Will she finally open up and tell him all her secrets? Will she finally give him a chance to prove his love? When tragedy strikes will she push him away so she can deal with it on her own? Will he just walk away from her or will he fight her every step of the way?

I have to say I LOVE Markus and hope one day we can get his story. The banter between him and Shelby had me laughing page after page.
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Shelter Me is a touching second chance novel full of love drama and suspense.

Shayne did not want to come back to her hometown and all the memories it held. She would not be here if it wasn't for the death of her Aunt Judy, who was like a mother to her. She lived with and was raised by her Aunt Judy and her cousin Adam.

Seven years ago Shayne's world was crushed when the love of her life left her with nothing but a note and a red rose. She was devastated and decided to leave town because the memories were too hard. Pregnant and alone she moved to Texas to go to nursing school and raise her daughter. She hoped that coming home for the funeral would not be a mistake. She was not prepared when she ran into the only man she's ever loved. The chemistry was still there between them both. He still wants her, but is she strong enough to let him explain what happened all those years ago? Shayne can't just think about herself, she has a daughter to think of.

Luke can not believe he is with his Tesoro Bella. Will she forgive him for leaving and give him a second chance. He had no choice and had to leave her to keep her safe.

Shayne decides to give Luke a chance, but wants to take things slow, which is all but impossible with these two. The heat and passion that burn from them will set you on fire.

Both are harboring secrets. Will these secrets break them apart or pull them together? Get ready for one intense book that you can't put down.

Rescue Me is book 2 in the Shelter Me Series. I can't tell you how much I loved this book. This book reached in and squeezed by heart and did not let go. Rescue Me is a story about a woman who survived being battered and abused both physically and mentally by her ex-husband. He has torn her self worth to nothing. Erin found the strength to leave, to save her daughter Sierra, but she has a hard time finding the strength to love herself. That is until Adam is able to reach in and tear down the walls and show her how much she is worth. Adam is completely swoon worthy and will melt your heart. His is the total opposite of the evil that is her ex. He not only loves Erin, but he loves and adores Sierra as well. So much happens in this book that you will not be able to put it down. Erin's past comes back and she is in for the fight of her life, and fight she does! This is a 5 star must read!!

Keep Me is the third and final book in the Shelter Me series by Kathy Coopmans. This is Antonio and Shelby's story. You are first introduced to these two in the previous books. I loved both Shelby and Antonio. You quickly learn with Antonio that you can't judge a book by its cover. Antonio was the entire package and Shelby quickly learned that she was so wrong in her judgment of him. You will love the chemistry and playful banter between these two. They found a way to make everything they do together exciting. I love this entire series and I'm sad to see it end.

Each of the stories in this series was so good. It was totally sexy, emotional and passionate on all levels. Shelter Me, with Luke and Shayne were a couple in high-school being torn apart and never knowing why, only to meet up years later and emotions taking over, but the love for one another still apparent. Learning of the child they shared and the love from the family was all Shayne needed to see where their relationship could go and if they could make it as a family. Falling in love with Luke and Shayne I thought the next story couldn't top it, but it only got better in Rescue Me with Adam and Erin's story, Erin having gone through a rough life with her ex and trying to protect her child was all Adam needed to fall in love and show Erin how much she is worthy of someone to care about her. Their compassion for one another was so strong you couldn't help but laugh, cry and be so happy for them. Keep Me, with Antonio and Shelby and that story was really good, having an alpha male who never thought he would settle for just one woman until he met the ever so sassy Shelby just about knocked him off his feet. Their lives not parallel in any way, but it was evident they would play a cat and mouse game. The banter they could share and their passion they had for one another was off the charts. Once Antonio figured out Shelby's secret their passion grew more and their love for one another was so sexy, fun and exciting. I loved this series, each story fell into each other and I really liked that. I also like when the author tells a little of truth in their writing.

Super simplistic in its writing style, Shelter Me takes an overly dramatic and not at all realistic look at a single mother who is thrust back to the past when her aunt dies and the father of her child returns after mysteriously leaving her 6 years ago... when she was 19.

This book seems to move at lightning speed when the issues that are introduced require more delicacy. Also, I found Luke to be crude... and I love dirty talk, but not from a man who she hasn't seen in years. He comes off as a d-bag. And that she accepts his anger issues is awful.

Characters are one dimensional and predictable. The lead female character makes bad decisions continually and the other characters are just flat.

3 amazing books in one

I can't get over how amazing these books were! I adored how the writer encouraged us to believe Luke was an asshat! At the start.... And then slowly revealed all the little bits of information throughout.
And Erin and Adam! Wowzers! I loved this guy in the first book, so I was ecstatic to see that he had his own story. And that its with Erin. I loved how he showed her how a real man is, and how safe he makes her. And how close he becomes with her child
And book 3!!! God I must have laughed so much at times during this book. Couldn't put it down!
It all flowed really well, I found it hard to put down if I'm honest!!!

Had potential....but never reached it

I really tried to like this book. I read all of Shelter Me and it was a struggle to finish. I felt the characters personalities were all over the place. I never really connected with them. The story line was good but the big moments were very rushed. I tried to finish the series hoping it would get better but in the end had to give up. I just feel the writing was not there. The story lines had great potential but in the end failed.

DNF at 12%. I've been reading some amazing books lately by new authors and had high hopes for this as well. To me, the writing was juvenile and the scenes were so incredibly rushed. Too many plot holes and far fetched reactions to be believable. I wouldn't recommend it.
