This book was so good and very well written! I have a love and hate relationship with Phantom.. more hate now with that ending! On to part 2 #Readathon
Man Phantom was just nerve wrecking, this guy just made me irked sometime! But he finally got it together and I ended up liking him in the end.. I’m glad that Inaya decide to let her walls down and give into love. She really deserves it. She loves her kids unconditionally. I liked Jroc too, he wasn’t playing no games about Azia..
This was a great, fast paced drama filled read, and I enjoyed every single word of it. It was a very real read and it kept me guessing trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed this book, because it wasn't your everyday typical read. It was a refreshing change from the street thug stories that I usually read. It's nice to have a change of pace every once in a while. The author did a great job with this one, and I will definitely be reading more of her work.
That damn Phantom is a different breed. I like how he grew keen to Kades and stepped up and became a daddy figure in her life with no questions asked. I like the relationship he eventually grew with Naya but I don't like how he treated her and put all women in a messed up category due to his past. I'm mad he handed Kades over to her dad without fully knowing the story now she may be in danger. I love Lox though, I hate he wants to be in love with Snahai but he's making it hard to be in a relationship with her. The same with Phantom. I can't for part 2.
Once again Tina Marie got me wanting to curse her out smh. Amazing storyline and I love and hate it lol. Love the characters, hate how the side chicks are deadbeat mothers. But I know it's bout to go down (In my Kevin Hart voice) in part 2. I can't believe Phantom made the biggest mistake that might cost him lil mama and Iny.
First of all, you have to read Jahdair and Inyana story first in My heart beats for you!! It gives more insight to their relationship. I loved Zionni and the close relationship he had with Cordell and Azia other boys. Jrock was a straight punk, who seemed to have gotten a come up from Phantom because of Azia. Zi didn't play about Azia and the kids.... He said that's his family!! Jason's side piece deserved that beat down!!!
I really enjoyed this story. I ex specially loved Azia and Zi relationship. I was finally happy that she gave him a chance. I’m still on the fence about Phantom, he chilled out with the cheating but the streets was still his first love. I’m just happy Inaya got her happy ending.
This book has a lot of twist and turns. One moment you think one thing is going to happen and another come into play. The characters had me crying, cursing, and routing for them like they real folks. I cried at the end due to all the emotions that is have been thru with the characters.
This was just as good as the original series. Phantom Inaya and their family went through everything bad you can think of… definitely fighting to stay a unit. Looking for a good read, you’ve found it. But only if you read My Heart Beats for you, if not please do! Happy reading
This was such a great read and I loved the ending!!!…It’s crazy how family is the 1st ppl that will doubt you and turn on you!!!…It was good to see the friends make a family that was definitely down for each other and very protective!!!… Everyone was definitely getting their happiness with their person!!!…
I loved this book it was really good I feel like it left off unfinished but that's just me . Jrock didn't want revenge I felt like he was a undercover or just jealous and was messing with Asia just because.
I’m so glad that Za finally did what was best for you her !! I can’t say I dislike anything about this book because behind everything there was a lesson!! I really enjoyed this book and it was a page turner !! I finished it in one day ☺️
This was a great book, I was worried about Indya and phantom didn’t know if they would make it, now I still want to know about Azia biological mother and what she wants.
This book was good but it was kind of all over the place as well overall interesting kept you wanted to read it couldn't read part two because it was out of print! Phantom needs to grow up he is supposed to be such a boss but he lets everything else come for his family if you're a boss then you supposed to sit back and let others do the work and not be in the street 24/7 day and away from your family that much. I know he had a hard life Etc but how can you love someone so much for treat them so bad. At first I really like him but the more I kept reading you begin to get disappointing by his lack of respect for women. Locks had a heart of gold and I really like you scared I just wish it silly immature baby mama would have got herself together and stop giving him such a hard time and run around and figure out what the hell she wanted
I love Zionni. It's just something about the deadly, crazy thug types. I loved how no matter what he had always put Azia and her kids first. It's was funny when he put Jrock in his place but I loved him more when he put Phantom in his. I got a love/hate feeling for Phantom. I loved him because I knew and could feel that he loved Inaya but sometimes love isn't enough. I hated that he put the streets before her and his kids except for Kadia. Now she needed to be tapped a couple of times but it was Phantom's fault for spoiling her. I'm glad Phantom finally showed her how much he loved her more even if he was still addicted to the streets. This was a great book and I hope there will be more about Zionni and Azia.😜
This was a great read. Phantom and Inaya's growing relationship seems pretty realistically developed. Their relationship begins as neighbors, who connect over Inaya's feisty daughter. Inaya is a struggling woman running from her past and trying to make a new life for her and her daughter while Phantom is a drug boss trying to get his life together but isn't looking for love. These 2 butt heads often over misunderstandings and jumping to conclusions which is something a lot of people probably do. In the process, there's bloodshed and suspense about their pasts and dangerous present. I was roped in.
Wish I could give 20 stars....WELL WRITTEN FAST PACED DRAMA .... SO GOOD YOU GET FULL OFF IT....STORYLINE WAS ORIGINALLY CRAFTED WITH TWIST YOU DONT SEE COMING .....CHARACTERS WAS WELL DEFINED AND LOVABLE THE RUFF PHANTOM HAD ME SKINNING AND CHEESING.... LOXS WAS FUNNY AND THUGGISH THE FLOW WAS FANTASTIC NEVER PUT IN DOWN OR CAM UP FOR AIR ...LOVING HE FAMILY ASPECT AND THE PLOT TWIST HAD ME ON EDGE....OUT FREAKING STANDING CANT WAIT FREAKING PART 2 EXCELLENCE SISTA I LOVED IT
This is my first book by this author and if her other books are as good as this, imma fan for life. From beginning to end this book was dope. I was rooting for Indy and Phathom but what he did was beyond messed up. He didn't have the right to make a decision like that. Yes he stepped up and played a vital role in Kades life but man. I think Lox did the right thing concerning Q's mom because she just didn't get it. Yeah he was sleeping around but she had someone that was willing to take care of her. What she was doing wasn't smart. Can't wait to read book 2.
This was a great read. My first read from this author. Let me start off with this Phantom was on disrespectful man he meant well but his attitude always got the best of him. Indy was a very sweet girl and she didn’t deserve the crap that Phantom Gabe her she was loving and caring and ole boy didn’t appreciate that. The little girl was a doll I really loved her. Lox was a good girl but he picked the wrong girl in Sahnai. I didn’t like Noah from the jump. The ending of this book blew me away can’t wait to see what happens in the next part.
i loved this book. it was everything. Zionni is book bae for sure. i still dont like Phantom. this book shows that you love who you love no matter what. i love the characters. i love the fact that the kids got more storyline. Tina Marie gave you enough that i said i am happy how it ended. what i really loved about this book is that is shows you and not say it PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CHILDREN they are saying something but not saying it. the down side to this book was the editing there were some errors but not enough to take away from the story.
When you think he's bad for your health but turn out to good for your heart. Azia thought she found love again in JRock but he was a no good bastard. If no man can accept your kids he can't accept you. Zi tried to show her what love was but she wouldn't let her guards down. Finally he broke down the barrier and showed her and those kids REAL LOVE. Phantom needed a reality check on life. And he found out the streets don't hold a candle to family. Inaya was the best thing to him. This book was a very good read
What can I say besides reading this book really touched on different issues which shows the originally of the storyline. This book was deep and not your typical hood story. As I was reading this book I thought that I was at the movies instead of reading a book. I could feel where the author is going with this story and she did not disappoint. This book was definitely a must read and I would recommend this book to others.
This book was everything. I swear I was captivated from the beginning until the end. I can't wait for part two, so that I'm able to get a better idea of who Noah is. Smh I can't believe Phantom would do something so careless without speaking to Iny first. I hope Kadia and Sha are both okay
If you want to read something different , this is the book!!!....it has many layers and it unfolds slowly , but don't think it's not filled with drama , excitement , and sex. This is a good read and that last chapter will leave you speechless and breathless for part two. This is my first time reading a book written by Tina Marie.....but this is FIYAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book was so good. Iny is doing the best she can for kadia on her own since escaping her ex. Kadia befriends their neighbor phantom and he enters their life to help. Kadia is so smart and she has phantom and everyone she meets at her call. Iny and phantom are friends but he pushes her away but he likes her. Can't wait for part 2
Author has too many reads for this to be borderline garbage... Story needs work it didn't make a whole lot of sense. When the author went to explain it didn't really help. The ending was stupid, he made that call without talking to her about it and she's not going to tell him what's going on with her? Okay I guess.
I didn’t blame Iny at all! Not one single bit! Phantom would have been by his lonesome. Sorry not sorry. Got me messed all the way messed up tf. She was a real good one. I don’t know where he thought he came from. She needed to get in Kadia behind though. Zi my bae all day. He came and got everyone all the way together. I hope they get their own story! Fantastic job
