The Case Files of Detective Laszlo Briscoe features a fictional detective's accounts of true crime in the Connecticut town of Newtown from 1889 to 1933. It is an interesting concept to wrap the true crime with a fictional detective, some strange cases that make it interesting, but I feel Andrea missed an opportunity to create a really good book by expanding the narrative more. I found myself wanting to know more about this fictional detective and have this intertwined with the true cases.
All in all a fun read but could have been so much more.
