Firestrike: Story by Joshua Nelson and Luke Nelson Illustrations by Sheila Rennau
Michael is an orphan who has been passed around so much, that he does not even know what state he is in anymore. When he is enrolled at a new and interesting school, everything changes. Adventure and new friends await as he embarks on a mission fraught with wonder and danger.
Joshua and Luke Nelson are the sons of Matthew Nelson. This story began in Colorado Springs, while riding in the family minivan. Luke had just got a new stuffed animal that we all agreed was the coolest stuffed animal ever. Luke named him Firestrike. We then thought that it would be fun to make up a story about Firestrike (because he was so cool). The Story grew throughout the ride back to our home in Parker, Colorado. We spent the Christmas break writing the story.
Joshua Nelson is currently an 8th grader who loves playing football and playing with friends.
Luke Nelson is now in fourth grade and loves animals most of all.
Matthew Nelson lives with his boys and his beautiful and loving wife Lisa in Parker, Colorado.
Sheila Rennau was Josh’s 4th grade teacher
