Občanským jménem Alena Wagner se narodila 6.10.1966 v Praze. Vystudovala Filozofickou fakultu Karlovy univerzity obor čeština a pedagogika (1989) a doktorské studium na VŠUP v oboru teorie výtvarných umění (2007).
Působila jako nezávislá publicistka, posléze pracovala šest let v pozici reportérky, editorky a zástupkyně šéfredaktora týdeníku Reflex. V letech 2000 – 2002 zastávala funkci ředitelky Odboru public relations Magistrátu hl.m.Prahy. V této pozici iniciovala mezinárodní soutěž na dodnes užívané logo hl. m. Prahy. Posléze působila na řídících pozicích v PR a komunikačních agenturách REGTIME a AMI Corporate Design. Od roku 2005 je nezávislou konzultantkou v oboru médií a public relations. V prezidentských volbách 2018 zastávala pozici tiskové mluvčí a mediální poradkyně kandidáta Pavla Fischera. V prezidentských volbách 2023 zastává pozici manažerky volební kampaně Pavla Fischera. Je autorkou více než dvou desítek knih většinou zaměřených na popularizaci historie pro děti i dospělé.
V letech 2014 – 2018 působila jako zastupitelka městské části Praha 1. Spolupracuje s projektem Celé Česko čte dětem a je také ambasadorkou charitativního projektu Čtení pomáhá. Spolupracuje s Prague City Tourism na edici tiskovin pro dospělé a děti. Je dlouholetou patronkou knihovny v Kamenici nad Lipou.

Oh man, this book makes me so nostalgic for Prague! I wish I had read this before leaving so I could've walked past each of the insignias. Many of them were in the neighborhood of my favorite pub, and while I remember seeing them often I didn't know the stories behind them. It is bitter-sweet indeed revisiting a former home through words and pictures instead of with one's feet and eyes.
