Bastard's Baby by B.B. Hamel is from the bad boys secret baby romance series.
It's a simple story of Vince a captain of an Italian mob crew who has a steamy one night stand with Kaley the daughter of the head Russian mob boss (which is forbidden) low and behold 9 months later a baby arrives and her family wants to remove the child,so Kaley runs to Vince for help and you need to read it to find the rest out 😏
There's plenty of smoking hot naughtiness, betrayal, will they won't they, a bit of war and blood and a happy ever after 🖤
Definitely recommend this for any one looking for a quick and satisfying read.

The title was very fitting - Vince really was a bastard. I don’t feel like he tried hard enough and Kaley was a doormat. I kept reading hoping it would get better... oh well. 😕

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL FANTASTIC BOOK!!! MUST READ!!!
BB Hamel rocks another Mob book. I loved "Bastard's Baby" and can't wait to see what she has coming up with next. Oh I definitely say this book deserves more than 5 stars and if I could I give it at least 50! I just felt that this book revealed so much of a real scenario as to the life inside of a Mafia family. I could not put the book down and didn't want to put it down to eat or anything!!!! I can say that my interest was peaked from beginning to end of the book. She took a story line and a hand full of characters and made a mind boggling wonderful story. I recommend this book to mature readers over the age of 18.

so from the looks of it i am probably the only one who didn't really like this book which is sad to say because i liked other books from this author. this one just didn't do it for me.
there were so many times that i was going to give up and put the book down and just not finish it but i sucked it up and finished it. i had hoped that by the time i got to the end of the story that things would get better but they didn't.
both main characters seemed very flat for me and emotionless. the character of Vin who happens to be the male hero in the story was just a sad excuse for a man and i am sorry if that offends anyone. i don't know much about the " real" mob life but i have read enough books and seen enough movies to know that this story just wasn't believable. the repetitiveness that Vin kept making about living his life " fast and hard" or what ever just wasn't believable to me. to be honest this is the first story i had read in years where i actually hated the male hero. he was a fucking asshole who didn't really care. what ever he felt for Kaley was nothing more than the fact that she was his baby's mother and all he cared about was fucking her. all the author told us to convince the reader that Vin really liked her was to say how much of a "hot body Kaley had and how much he wanted to fuck her" and with that you wanted me to believe that they were really falling in love? (WTF)
Kaley and i am sorry to say this was a sorry excuse for a woman. so she finds out that her father who is the head of the Russian mafia is going to take her baby away. and instead of running like i figured she would. no this idiot runs to her baby daddy who is a captain in the Italian mafia. * cue the eye roll* so when she reveals that Vin is the father of her son what does Vin do. he says " let's see" wow!!!! and he also asks for a paternity test ( wow didn't see that coming) and you still want me to believe these people are going to love each other? um no. so Kaley is protected by the Italian mobsters and yet at the same time she wasn't. this apparently starts an all out war between the Russians and the Italians and then what does everyone at the Italian compound do? they blame Kaley for it. so she begins to feel uncomfortable being under the protection of the Italians. so a smart woman and mother of a child would be like " fuck this shit, i have no money but i am going to run and hide and deal with shit myself" what does Kaley do? she stays there. ( Kaley has no cojones)
when Vin constantly treats her like shit. and i say this because all he did was fuck her and she let him yet he wanted nothing to do with the baby or her ( in the beginning). is basically treating you like you are nothing. Kaley still stayed there. every time Vin did something that hurt her i would tell myself, yes this time she is going to leave and go hide in another state or country. Kaley didn't do nothing. but you want to know what she did? she runs back home to her dad!! *gasps* apparently her best friend ( the dumb betraying bitch Sofie) tells her that her father said it was okay for her to come back that everything would be find. you want to know what Kaley did. SHE BELIEVED IT!!!! then what happens?? if you haven't yet figured it out then read the book so you can see what happens cuz its just to stupid to write it right now. it was just so predictable. the secondary characters like Louisa and Lucas and Nat or what ever her name was. all they did was get on my nerves. one second they treated Kaley like they were friends. the next they were telling her how she needed to be careful and how people were dying because of her.
every chapter was a repeat of the chapter before. that is something that really irks me. its okay to repeat something in another part of the book but to repeat things over and over just!!! agh!!!! i almost slammed my kindle.
there was no chemistry between both MC'S and the ending i have to say was just so dumb!!! like really you went ahead and did that!! wow Kaley i have to applaud your stupidity seriously.
there was also the fact that they kept repeating how Kaley was at fault for the war and the next minute they would say she wasn't at fault of it because either way it was going to happen. to be honest i skimmed through the ending of the book and didn't care much about it i just wanted it to be over. which is sad to say because i actually liked other works from this author so it was a bit disappointing that this one just wasn't one of my favs.

This new to me author presented a helluva good read. You never had to second guess what was happening through out the whole book. I really enjoyed all of the characters. The story and characters were raw, gritty, real, compelling, and intriguing too. I look forward to more from this author in the future.

When a hot n sexy one night stand leaves Kaley pregnant, her father who is in the Russian mob wants his daughter to give up her son. Kaley would never give up her son and goes to the baby father who happens to be in the Italian mob. With not believing he could be the father Vince wants proof and proof he gets and when it comes out that he is the father. When Kaley's father wants her back and not her son Kaley stays with Vince. Now a war is happening and Kaley feels guilty and doesn't want a war. Will Vince kee her and their son safe or will her father get what he wants? Another amazing book. I can't get enough of these sexy mobsters, hoping there will be another book

Vince is the ultimate or should I say typical mafia romance antagonist. He is cocky, ripped, dangerous, and exactly who the reader wants, just like Kaley. He’s Italian, she’s Russian and both are part of a different mafia family. They felt an attraction and that let to one steamy night. Kaley ended up pregnant and running form her own family as she cannot have the enemy’s baby. Kaley was strong and a great character but Vince story this story for me. He was everything that a mafia man should be, and he loved and protected both his woman and his baby once he found out. I loved the tension between the two and that this author did not make it all hearts and flowers. I think this story (as far as romance books go) is as based in reality as possible. It was a great rea.

I did expect this book to be bad but it wasn't. it wasn't at all but was it awesome, fantastic, unbelievable? not really.
Why did I enjoy this one, it got a storyline, a proper timeline. Mundane characters and baby plot, one that I have read but this one, this book got a proper story. From one night with a girl without name to a war, not that the girl was the reason. That part was well explained. After this one, all I wanted was to read about the mysterious Louisa Barone, I would skip the others story but I think her story would be quite interesting.

Can a secret baby start a mob war?
This is supposed to be the second story in the series about the Barone mafia, but the first one is no longer available that I can find. If you like dark themed stories - dirty talking, dominant alphaholes with a penchant for violence - loads of detailed 🔥 intimate scenes - then this could be the series for you. There is no cheating, no cliffhanger and a HFN / HEA.
This is definitely for adult readers only (18+ years old) and not for sensitive readers. There are triggers basically from the beginning to the end, but I included a high-level listing of the topics below.
The story universe, especially around the Barone family compound is actually very good, the environment really came to life as described. The characters not as much detail with them. I also wanted a little bit more about the structure in the Barone’s organization and Vincent’s background. Maybe this would have been better if the first story of the series was still available, as according to the Blurb one of the main characters was Lucas Barone, and Vince was his second until he was promoted.
I mention the following for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. There are a few grammatical issues with punctuation and a typo. There is also imo an issue with possessive words ending in ‘s’. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested.

Better than the first
Vince and Kaley had a passionate one night stand that led to her having his son. At that time he did not know that she was the daughter of one of their biggest rivals. Kaley is on the run from her family and turns to Vince for protection. Can he protect her from her Russian Mafia family? Can he protect her from his Italian Mafia family?
I absolutely enjoyed the story. Drama, romance, conflict, gun fights....who could as for me. The characters were great and the story line was awesome .

Like whoa!
This was my first a B.B Hamel book and I absolutely loved it. The title alone was what grabbed me, but the whole book was pretty awesome. I haven’t read a good mob book since Maya banks Enforcer series..this one was equally great. I thought the ending was a bit too rushed and I would of liked to see the h and H spend more one on one time getting to know each other and I don’t mean physically. The sex scenes were fire omg!!! This book was great and worth the read.

Never read a book by this author that didn't have taking a shower after. This is a fast pace, hoy, steamy, truly alpha male. Vince is everything rolled in one. Kaylee is a mobster daughter came off a little weak bUT together they overcome dangerous obstacles. Two different families, two different outlook on crime. I love all of her books you simply can't go wrong great book

I loved this book! I haven’t had the chance of reading lately and this book just makes you not want to stop. I feel like the ending should have been more though but other than that I loved it.

What a book I love Ms Hamel books she just know how to write bad boy and bad ass damsels. I really enjoyed this story it was hot sassy and had drama. I definitely recommend this author
