This was a great addition to the series. I actually already had this short story in a box set but didn't know it was the same. I adore the Runes series and also the additional scenes from Erik's trilogy. Five glittery stars!

Wow. This book is an awesome treat. We get to see how much Torin falls for Raine even if it’s just a glimpse. We also get to experience the moment that Raine and Torin have after Raine fixes the forest. It’s definitely as steamy as Cora and Echo’s moments, but unfortunately Torraine doesn’t remember as the Norns erase their memories hoping to make them draw apart - jokes on them though. The two only get closer which we learn in “Witches”.

Essence by Ednah Walters is a novella that gives some backstory for Raine and Torin as well as a few portions of earlier books but from Torin’s perspective.

It’s great to get Torin’s perspective and I liked the added backstory, but it was a bit too short for me, I wish there had been a bit more that added to the overall story. I think this is best read after Witches but could be read after Seeress as well.

Fast pace steamy work of Runes that will smolder in your heart .The Norns tried to hide the love , but as we all know the saying love conquer all . Torin and Raine find a happiness within eachother that gives them all they have ever dreamed but in the blink of an eye it all vanishes . lift the veil read the pages of the lost moments of true loves first . A must read

Didn't realize going in that this was merely a sex scene. I thought it was part of the story from Torin's POV.... but it's just sex & the build up to sex from his POV.

This is a good insight to what happened in Runes when Raine had to get Torin to fall back in love with her to remember everything because the norns erased their memory. Course, i am still mad the Norns think they have the right to take away memories like that and replace them with false ones. I do love this short insight of their love so for all the TORAINE fans, this would be good for you.
The mind of Ednah is just mindblowing and her work will never fail. She is gifted and talented.

Great supplement, but I wouldn't recommend reading before the first 6 main books.

This novella is a short but sweet supplement to the Runes series. It takes place during the events of book 4, Seeress, but it will spoil some surprises if read before book 6, Witches.

This story helped fill in the blanks as to when Torin and Raine's memories were erased by the Norns, as their first time was not after the wedding.

This is the book we've all been waiting for after the end of Witches, the scene that we had all been missing, including Torin & Raine.
It was as hot as I was expecting the passion between them to be & I'm glad Ednah Walters made this available in a separate book for her fans to read as it makes it a choice for us to choose to read or leave up to the imagination.
Now I'm off to dream about Torin & imagine it's me in Raine's place ;)

Hot, Hot, HOT!

After Torin's finds out his father has been holding his mother's soul captive for hundreds of years, he destroys the forest. Raine heals the forest using her elemental magic, Torin helps her burn off her extra magic in a very sexy way. Then one thing leading to another, our young lovers, make love for the first time and complete their bond. The Norns then wipe them.

Raine and Torin are a sigh-worthy couple most of the time, but being let in on this super steamy night between the two basically made me melt. Super sultry. It also fit well into the Runes plotline and actually explained a lot about some of the mystery in the book Witches. I am a fan of both Ednah Walters' YA and her sexy series, so having the two combined was positively delectable.

Did you read Witches and wonder what the stupid hags took away from Torin and Raine? Well then here you go! You will not be disappointed in this!! I promise you this is extremely hot. waste of money

I LOVE this series....and yes this book has one good scene....but this is only like 20 pages ....actually less iam sure. its a five minute read. not worth a buck!
