Malakai

Rate this book
Down in the ground where dead people grow. Body parts everywhere - didn't matter how many times he opens his eyes the result is the same. Every member of his team is dead. Their mission was FUBAR from the get go and now here he was buried under several tons of rock and dirt in a cave in a godforsaken country where all they wanted was to keep killing. "I will not die here in this hole. Today is so not a good day to die." Malakai kept saying the words over and over.
"You will take your hands off of me, and you will never touch me again." Liberty says. "Or what - what will you do? You're hero isn't here to rescue you now." Her stalker tells her and laughs. "By the time he comes home, if he comes home, you'll be mine." She tells him, "I will never be yours." The last thing she hears is his laughter before her world goes dark.
"Stone are you there?"
"Yeah Callahan I'm here. What the hell took you so long?"
"Oh I don't know - maybe ten ton of rock and dirt. Hang on we're getting you out of here."
Life in Cripple Creek should be easy - but with a corrupt police department the right thing doesn't always happen. Random acts of violence seem to be the common occurrence these days.
Malakai is told that Liberty has gone missing and when he goes to the Chief of Police he receives no help. So he turns to his brothers - and they'll walk straight into hell for each other.

*** 2 Cranky Stars ***

Malakai and Liberty are childhood sweethearts who have never stopped loving each other. When Malakai is forced out of town by a deranged sheriff, he's given the option of prison or the Navy. He chose the Navy, of course, but never stopped seeing Liberty.

So many things were going on in every page of this book. It was extremely difficult to keep from being confused.

First, there are so many characters and POV's that it was difficult remembering who was talking. I'm all for books that involve the whole family but when you add friends and the whole town it really takes away from the fact that the book is supposed to be about Liberty and Malakai.

Second, Names changed and timeliness were messed up.

Third, this book needs a serious edit. Almost every page has either the wrong words or double words. For example the word "no" is put where it should be "know". That's just one example and I did double check to make sure that I received a final published copy.

I think that Cree Nations has a vivid imagination and a talent that could be great. The premise of the story is great. But, the characters need some development as well as the timeline and flow.

All in all, I would love to see this book go through a serious Alpha Edit at which point I would love to re-review it. I do believe this author has what it takes to be a best seller, but she needs to tighten up the story, edit, and polish the execution.

What a read!!!!!!

Texas Heat: Malakai is one of the best well rounded romance/suspense/contemporary romances I have ever read with so much more. It kept me on the edge of my seat with tissues in my hand and I never knew where the twist and turns would take me. The chemistry between Malakai and Liberty is scorching hot.
Nearly every type of panty melting hot alpha possible is present in this book; mc club, military, lawman, special ops, doctor, farm working, and Doms. Throw in some sassy, strong willed, fist throwing, gun toting, sexy women with hearts of gold. This book is set to exciting. With all that Malakai and Liberty have a love story that will touch your heart.
Fresh storyline. Flows easily. Solid storyline. Can't wait for the next book. Great read! Great job Cree Nations!

Received a copy. Hold on to your seats and grab a fan! Malakai is going to take you for a hot and twisted ride. Malakai and Liberty are well written characters. There are twist, turns and a whole lot of alphas along with very strong female characters. Great story line that leaves you wanting more from the side characters. I look forward to more of these alpha men from Cree Nations.

I'm so glad I finally read this book. I loved it. This is the authors first novel and she hit it out of the ballpark. I loved the story line. The editing needs a little work but I definitely could over look it with a story line like this.
Great job. I can't wait to get started on Tucker's book.

This had great action all throughout the book. Never a dull moment! Not to mention all the hot sex that takes place. Man, my tablet was sweating pretty bad ( or maybe that was me ). I have never read a book from this particular author but this one will NOT be the last one I read! I am hooked!
Malakai got railroaded into the Navy because one girl who was jealous because she couldn't hook Malakai Stone. He wanted nothing to do with her, his heart belonged to Libby and now that he was home, he was going to make sure everyone knew Libby was his! Cripple Creak is being run by a sheriff who has dealings that are illegal and most of the town is in his pocket. But Malakai will protect what is his and make sure the enemy pays for even trying to harm his family.

This book has a lot of depth to it. There are many things going on at once but it kept me turning the pages quicker and quicker every time. So much exciting action not to mention the so HOT sex scenes. I cried and laughed because Libby is just as demanding like Malakai but it's such a wonderful relationship between them. No matter what happens they will always be there for each other and the rest of the family. Many many heavy hitters that make this book so darn good. Deserves so much more than the 5 Stars. The characters were easy to hate and others so very easy to love. This is a great book and I can't wait to read more from this very talented author.

This book started your heart running from the beginning and never let up. There was so much to take in from this story that it was a wild but satisfying ride. Just when you thought everything was fine..BAM! More twists and turns that you ever imagined and rewarding to read until the very end. Apparently there is a whole family of handsome, alpha males on Blue Holly Farm and I hope to find out more about each one. Malakai Stone is an excellent start. He was forced out of town and told never to return but when tragedies happen, he has no choice but to return to his family and Liberty, the one woman he could never leave. Liberty was desperately in love with Malakai but not everyone is happy about their reunion and these two are forced to endure more than any couple should on their way to rebuilding their relationship. This book was absolutely amazing to read and kept you guessing what was next the entire way through. I cannot wait to read more about the brothers and the women they love. Excellent story.

This is the first book I have read by Cree Nations and I fell in love from page one through the entire story. I couldn't put it down once I started!! Malakai and Liberty's story has everything in it. There's heartbreak, tragedy, a few funny parts, sass, and dominance.
Malakai was run out of town when he was younger and chose to go into the Navy. He returns home when tragedy strikes before returning to work only to return when tragedy strikes again.
Liberty has one love in her life, Malakai. She has things that she needs to reveal to him when she sees him again.
Can their love survive tragedy? How far are they each willing to go to make sure that their love survives?
If you haven't read this story, you are truly missing out. I can't recommend this book enough and if I could give it more than five stars, I would. Please, don't hesitate to one click this story. You won't regret this purchase.

Let me start by saying this, I’ve read the entire Texas Heat Series! Every one of the books are fantastic.

I’ve now read Malakai for a second time. Cree Nations has outdone herself with the entire series, but Malakai has a special place in my heart. I laughed! I cried (more than once)! I was pissed off! And I was relieved! Cree brings and array of feelings to her books that I haven’t felt, while reading, in a long time.

You will get no spoilers from me, but I will say this. Buy the books in this series with caution, YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE!

Malakai is the youngest of all his brothers. He is head-strong and stubborn. He’s also tender and loving! In this first book, you will go on a wild ride as Malakai sets out to right the wrongs that have been done to his family. He spares no expense and does everything in his power to protect the ones he loves!

This Erotica is a Hot, Hot, Hot!!! You don’t wanna miss this or any of the other stories in The Texas Heat Stories!

Great story lines

This book was a great start to what should be a very interesting series. Malakai Stone was run out of town and forced to join the Navy That did not keep him from his one true love, Liberty.

He comes back into town to be with his mom and the evil forces that tried to keep them out of town started to push back again. Little did they know he learned all lot in the five years he was gone.

This book has a lot of storylines going on. A lot of brothers and friends. It's a little hard to keep track of in the beginning. There are a lot of surprises and a lot to look forward to in the next books in the series.

Absolutely loved it!

This is an action packed, cussing, and loving story. Some BDSM thrown in, Texas heat well describes this story. This is a story of family that sticks together and will do anything for family.
In a small town filled with corruption can one family take back what once was.
Malakai returns home after five years being gone, but things aren't the way he left this town or his family. Malakai and Liberty are targets after his return. Can Malakai and Liberty survive the chaos that's unleashed on them? Well come on and read to find out.
Cree I enjoyed every word of this amazing story. Can't wait to read about the other brothers of the Stone family along with the rest of the close friends considered family. You have combined cowboys, BDSM, and motorcycle clubs for a great story with some kicka$$ heroines.

Where do I begin

This book had the potential to be amazing, but fell a little short. There was not enough character background for me though. We got the H and h beginning, but not enough to really say I KNOW them and this is why I love them. I had no connection to either character and with that many hot brothers there was so much potential. Also even if I read the whole book I had a major problem with the timeline. I mean really how old was the baby? And there was also the issue of the genre type. Is it military? MC? BDSM? Second chance? Surprise baby? I'm ok with a mix but there's no actually clear genre here. I didn't hate this book but I didn't love it either. I don't think I could get through book 2 so I doubt I'll try, but it was ok. If things would have been a little more mapped out/clear it would've been so much better.

Malakai and Liberty

This is my first time reading this author and just let me say that she did an amazing job with this story. Malakai saved Liberty from her almost drowning when she was just five years old and fell in love with her hero. The jealous villain, Jillian that pushed her into the water thought she deserved Malakai but he only had eyes for Liberty and still does. Lots of corruption in their town brought all of the brothers and sister and there many friends to help stop human trafficking that some of the higher ups were involved in and also to get the town back to where it trusted the police, judges and DA's. Sad about Molly their mama. Very glad that Malakai and Liberty were also able to rescue their baby boy that was abducted and thought he died from her car crash. The evil never stops for some people. Happy reading.

This is my first book by Cree Nation and I really enjoyed reading it. This book is a great start to what makes me think is going to be a great series. I love meeting all the future characters (yeah I am late on stating this series and know what books are coming ;-) ) Malakai and Libertys story is fast paced, hot and keeps you guessing what’s next. Whenever you think it’s okay now and they got it, BAM something is popping up. There is a lot more in the book as just the love story of Malakai and Liberty. I love the connection of the siblings and there friends and be looking forward to the next book.

Cannot say enough about this amazing read. This is the first book I’ve read by Cree Nations and I can promise it won’t be the last. The Alpha personality by Malakai did all the right things for me. The strength that Liberty showed throughout everything made me smile. Her ability to relinquish control to Malakai showed her unbending faith and trust in him to care for her. I will definitely be reading every book in this series.

I love Malakai and his Brat.

This is my first book by Cree Nations. It was so good. I wasn't disappointed! There is a lot going on this book, so you really have to pay attention. It has a little bit of everything. BDSM, intrigue, some is really sad, and some is laugh out loud funny. I really enjoyed, and bought the second book.

My first review was unsatisfactory, I felt this book was very confusing and frankly hard to finish. I read a lot of erotica but this just felt icky to me I don’t understand what was so hot about this to the others but to each their own. I don’t recommend this.

I received and ARC of Texas Heat; A Stone Brothers Series (Malakai (KAI) for a honest review. OMG, I LOVED LOVED this book, wish I could give more then 5 stars. Once I started I did not want to put it down. This is Malakai (Kai) and Liberty's story and what a story it is. They both go through some things that no one should ever go through and not only do they make it they kick some ass on the way. Not only do we get their story but we get introduced to all of his brothers and other important people in the small town of Cripple Creek, TX. This book is full of surprises. Keeps you turning the pages. It deals with some very series subject matter. So if you have any issues with all kinds violence or reading about sex, then this book is not for you but that is not all this book is about. It has a very wonderful love story. Kai and Liberty (Kai's Brat) meet when she was five and him eight. Its a great love story. I can't put into words how great this book is, you have to just get it and read it. I look forward to reading more books by Cree. Thanks for gifting me a copy and thanks for writing such a GREAT book. Happy Reading and enjoy!!!!

Loved the book. Keeps you interested right from the start. Malakai and Liberty are two childhood friends to lovers, who have had people who think they are keeping them apart. Standalone book with HEA, with light BDSM. Story is about a corrupt sheriff and other influential people who have been hiding secrets and there is a sudden increase of non-natural deaths in the area. Malakai and his 6 brothers and military and MC friends end up doing an investigation into these deaths. Enough suspense to keep you wanting to read the book all at one sitting.

Good book

Loved the storyline. Although unfortunately there were a lot of mistakes in this book. Once those are sorted I think this could be an exceptional book..The imagination from this author is immense. The plot just needs a bit of organising otherwise it's very good. Looking forward to reading the next book.

I have had this book since before it came out. I really wish I would have read it then. I loved everything about it! Malakai and Liberty are a kick ass couple.

I know that Cree writes BDSM but there was just enough in this book. It was over exaggerated and was very tasteful.
