Hayley Faiman was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She and her husband met when they were still in High School. They were married a few years later. They lived in Oregon while her husband was in the US Coast Guard. After living in Hill Country, Texas, for eight years and three years in East Texas, they now call North Carolina home and spend their time with their two teenage sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!
The first one was bad. What did I think? :o Well, I did not think, and it's not my fault. Completely. My friend and I pretty often switch our e-readers, and we just did. I told her about reading the first one in the series, along with the problems I had and she told me to read the rest of the series with a bit of threatening and laughing. So I did. Because I figured it could not be much worse than the first one was.
Man, was I wrong?
Where I liked the main female character more than the previous one, I seriously wanted to chuck the book out of the window.
There is not much I'm going to say about this book, but I need to say one thing.
My Russian is a bit rusty (okay, a lot).
But even I see that the author butchered it!
moy chernovolosyy koroleva
moy - is used for a male
chernovolosyy - also for a male
koroleva - and suddenly a Queen. A female.
It is not something that is in English, so I get it that it is confusing. But trust me, it looks really really bad.
There were more problems with Russian, but I think this is enough to illustrate. And the thing that bugs me is the fact that if I was writing anything and had a sentence in a language, I do not speak I would get a native speaker to check it for me. Honestly, it would take me thirty seconds to go to Facebook, find a local Expat group and I bet if I posted a question "Hello, writing a book/story. How would you say this sentence xx in Russian? Thank you!" And I'm telling you, you would get tens of answers! Was it hard? No. I have no idea why the author did not do that.
Another thing that bugs me. The main male calls the girl "his blyad". I'm not going to go into the fact this word has really, really bad connotation. But the thing that made me angry is the fact this is a five-letter word, and the author managed to mistype it three times as "blayd". And actually, it is as first used in the wrong spelling and it really confused me. No one edited this book or what? You do not need to speak Russian to see that there are two different spellings for one word!
Nope, nope, nope.
Btw, every book had so many people betraying Bratva; I'm sort of surprised there is anyone left. Or that they are not in jail, seeing that they are so many people just waiting to betray them for the right price tag.
I'd give this 3 1/2 stars. I'm enjoying this series but sometimes the violent scenes come off random instead of unexpected. I'm a sucker for the Russians, and the scenes are hot.
What I really enjoyed about Radimar and Emiliya's relationship in "Seducing the Badman" was that it was unpredictable, memorable, yet a very fast-paced tale!
Hero, Radimar who only knew darkness since his youth became a much better "badman" when Emiliya was given to him by her brother, Yakov Chekov, the new leader of the Russian Bratva. Heroine, Emiliya started off as a very predictable doormat but who knew that she would become a strong and lovable partner for Radimar!
Ok I have issues with this one. I am still not sure why I kept reading,
Ok I have issues with a man that likes to make his woman cry and that he enjoys her tears. I am appalled. She complains how hurt she is and how she can barely walk and has bruises all over her, but she loves it. Ok sorry not my cup of tea.
Again this contains extreme violence, rape, and very rough sex. The author likes to tip toe on the line of unacceptable.
Not sure I will read the next one and I am not sure why I read this one.
I am sure others will love it. So enter at your own risk
I don't know why did I do this to myself. This series is just awful. The author did not only failed on her Russian mafia research but also the research done in the language. It is apparent that she wanted to include all her ideas, which are Russian Mafia, in the US, in Russia, Dom, Abduction, Rape, Weak Girl, Strong Girl, Sub, etc., etc., etc, that she just failed in this book. She did not manage to clearly deliver at least one of these ideas across. I do not get though why she has to get the girls abducted, then raped then returned in EVERY SINGLE BOOK.
I want to say so much to him. I want to ask him to kiss me. I want him to touch me, but it scares me. He scares me.
And OH. MY. GOD. cannot she just find a Russian speaker there are so many all around the world! If you are going to use Russian words at least do it CORRECTLY! What is 'Moy chernovolosyy koroleva'? 'Moy' is used for the male gender, 'chernovolosyy' as well, only 'koroleva' is a female word, it should have been 'MoYA chernovolosAYA koroleva'. Another one was 'Vy obladayete menya'. NEVER use google translator from English to Russian when you have the word 'you' there. 'Vi' is the plural version of 'you', or when you refer to someone higher in rank or age, 'you' as if 'you' singular is 'ti'. Thus cam the 'obladayete' in a plural/respectful form. Let's not go to 'menya' cause this is just fully wrong, because of it's form, it is 'mnoyu' in this case. It should have been 'Ti obladayesh mnoyu'. And lastly the word 'blayd',. First of all it is blyad', second of all I do not believe that even in bed as of dirty talk, Russians will call their lovers this, because the meaning is much worse than just the bitch, slut or whore. SO DO SOME RESEARCH!
****edited 5-27-16 went back and finished reading***** Same opinion expect I really really didn't like the completion of this book.
I rarely give stars to books I didn't finish because in my opinion how can you rate if you did not finish, right?
However I feel like I already know that this is good. I really enjoyed the writing of book #1 and the same held true for this one. The author has some real talent for telling a story and for developing characters also her Alpha men are really hot and very strong willed. I really liked her writing style she is descriptive without over doing it, which is something I think a lot of authors struggle with. In addition she writes some really steamy sexy things yay!
That said the author has a knack for breaking my cardinal rules!!!!
These are just things that unfortunately RUIN a story for me so if these are ok with you then I really think you will like this book. I was also disappointed that she went the same route as book #1. If these guys are such bad ass Bratva men why the hell can't they protect their women??? Sorry if I'm going to subject myself to a controlling ass Alpha male like this then he damn well better keep my ass safe! My opinion :-)
I have no idea how the hell it happened, but from the very fist page, I was so engrossed in the story, I LITERALLY couldn't put it down until it was finished. Thank goodness it was the weekend..
Bloody hell what a story.
It went from sweet and second to raw, emotional and so heartbreaking in the next.
At one moment I was so angry at certain characters that I was ready to throw punches, but then a scene comes along where my tears are soon replaced by an idiotic grin or a blush..
The construction of the story was one thing, hard to come by actually, often being bored with certain scenes, but this one was just a full force to be reckoned with. Then we have the emotional connections with the characters... I think that alone, as weird as it may sound, deserves a whole new 5+ stars.
You'll see what I mean when the full review is up, or better yet, when you meet Emiliya and ultimate alpha Radimir...
Okay, so this one was a solid five stars! I loved these characters and Radimir is such a damaged man that it was great to watch him grow. He had been taken advantage by women so many times that he is not going to let it happen again. So when he is given a princess and told that he has to protect her and make her his, he will do just that.
Emiliya may have been born to be a mob princess but she has never been treated like one. Her dad was a psychopath and she was his main target. So when he is killed in front of her and she is handed over to another man that is just as alpha, she is pretty sure that she is about to be treated like that for the rest of her life.
Little does she know that Radimir wants to treat her like she should always be treated. Like a princess. This book is wonderful and I loved it.
We also got to see the others from the first book. I can't wait to read the next one.💓
I liked? Yes, but I need to admit that there’s some parts in this book that really push my limits with the abuse, I know or understand that what we read is not even the minimum part of what the real victims suffer in real life, but still, I feel very uncomfortable with what I was reading. And another dislike is the amount of sex this book contains, don’t get me wrong, I love sex in this books, but here was too much for me. 3.5 stars
Seducing the Badman was a great 5 star read. Another great read from this series.
Emiliya has grown up in fear of her monster father and so desperately wants to get a way. He controls everything about her: diet, looks, wardrobe and social life.
One night her brother Yakov, shows up and brings her into a horrifying scene where she watches her brother eliminate their father. This is where she meets Radimir and is put under his protection. There is something about Emiliya that Radimir is drawn to and vows to keep her safe for her brother.
Nobody can tell me that being here in this house is safer than being out on my own, or with my brother, Yakov. This man that I was casually given to, handed off to, cannot love me the way I yearn to be loved.
Radimir can be so sweet and so cruel all in the same breath. Some of the things that he would say to Emiliya were heart wrenching at times. And their first time together was not what Emiliya expected and it brought back memories from when her guard had attacked her. Radimir ends up doing what Emiliya asks and moves out. What will she do now that he is gone?
These men, they do not accept their own feelings well. To have emotion is to have weakness. Men like Radimir are never claimed by women. They claim, then they do as they wish.
This is just the beginning of this great read. There is so much that happens it really kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved seeing Haleigh and Maxim again, along with the usual characters, they all add a great element to the story.
I know what happens to women who fight against a man’s orders. Nothing good. It is always painful to fight
Seducing the Badman once again had me in tears a few times, my heart broke for Emiliya. Radimir was very dark and cruel to her due to the last woman that shared his bed. This is a dark romance that does include some harsh scenes that leave bruises and tears. If you can’t handle this type of thing you may not want to read this series. I can’t say enough about how much I am enjoying this series. I love dark and Hayley is really delivering it. I highly suggest you 1-click and get started today.
#1 -Owned by the Badman, #2. Seducing the Badman, #3 Dancing for the Badman (July 25, 2016)
I received Seducing the Badman by Hayley Faiman in an ARC in exchanged for a honest review. I am giving this book 5 stars because Emiliya and Radimir story was just breath taking they way he already knew once he seen her that he was going to do everything in his power to protect her no matter what the cost, and of course you have to also love the fact that are other favorite couple is apart of this beautiful love story too. In fact Emiliya and Haleigh become best friends what makes this even more perfect is that they are also family because of Emiliya and Maxim being cousins. But what made me really love this story is how these two couples came together and learned to really trust each other. I also loved how up front Radimir was with his new wife and how she accepted him for who he is. This book had more twist then I don't know what lol. The first surprised is finding out what really happen to Maxim sister and who was really behind her death, and the second crazy twist was how Emiliya got caught up in all this mess. And how not only was she kidnapped but she was about to become a sex slave. In book two you find out that there is still so many traders in the Russian Bratva who are monsters. The writer gave us so much in this book she left us with a happy ending, but she always left us wanting more and with a new character added to this story. I have to wonder if the next book going to be about him. Because I would love to know more about his story. I guess we will have to see in book three. But if you have not had the pleasure of reading this series you should check it out. I mean I just loved book one and two the Author knows how to keep us happy but also how to keep us on the edge with us wanting so much more.
Seducing the Badman is book 2 in the Russian Bratva series, and is by far the best book Hayley Faiman has written to date. I first fell in love with Radimir in Owned by the Badman, book 1 of the Russian Bratva series, and was ecstatic to find out that he was getting his own book. He was one of those supporting characters that you just knew you needed to find out more about. Hayley Faiman did not disappoint with his story. Radimir is a dark man, he has seen and done things in his past that most people have never had to experience. But there is another side to this man. A side he only shows to his Emiliya. When they are alone he is sweet, sexy and romantic. He has a vulnerable side that makes you just want to hug and comfort this badman. Ms. Faiman has done such an amazing job of creating such a complex character. Emiliya grew up with everything money can buy. But as the old adage goes… Money can’t buy love. Unconditional love was a foreign concept to her. She was raised to settle a debt. But before her father can repay the debt with Emiliya as currency, he is taken down by the one man who will potentially change her life. This book has all of the steam from book 1, but kicks it up a notch. It is sexy, dark and full of adventure, love, loss and healing. It continues the storyline from Owned by the Badman, and leads it into a direction I did not see coming. I loved the twists and turns in the story. I was burning up my kindle turning pages so fast to find out what would happen next and how Rad and Emile would ever get the HEA they both deserve so much! I am totally hooked on this series. Each book keeps getting better. I cannot wait to see where Ms. Faiman takes us in the next book. A definite 5 star read from Hayley Faiman!
This is a continuation of the life in the Bratva. Love between siblings is stronger than life itself. Yakov must keep his sister safe and away from his father. Sending her with Radimir is the for the best. He trusts Radimir to take care of her and keep her safe, especially when their father has plans for her to marry a man of his choice and force her into a world of bloodshed.
Radimir is attracted to Emiliya but makes sure she knows she is safe with him. He must earn her trust and keep her safe as promised. When feelings bloom for both, the doubts grow within Emiliya, that she may have feelings that are not reciprocated by Radimir. With patience and a strong presence, Radimir shows Emiliya what he feels for her is real and that she can trust in him.
This series keeps getting better with each story. The secrets, lies, betrayal and suffering the characters endure brings sadness in your heart. The painful path each character must follow to find happiness is well worth the struggles from their past and present.
Radimir and Emiliya feel the pull of their feeling towards one another. Hayley has written an amazing story of violence within the walls of the Bravta and how good can come out of the chaos from the life. Being able to move on from the hurt of life as you know it is very inspiring and brings a smile to your face when the characters from this story finally find happiness, from all the sadness.
Story of yakov's sister - emiliya & Radimir. Yakov's killed their perverted pedophile father and gave her to Radimir for a wife. First night experience is very rough. But still she went to seduce her husband back? Moron. She got kidnapped by Dimitri, the man who was obsessed with Mariya- Maksim's dead sister. Luckily, she was not raped just a lil bit abused. Ashley was not so lucky cause she got it in the ass. Yakov and Radimir saved them and killed Dimitri.

NOT BAD BUT IT WAS QUITE LONG-WINDED WHEN THERES NOTHING MUCH LEFT TO GO DOWN BETWEEN THE MCs ONCE THEY CONFESSED THEIR LOVE.
This one started off good like any typical Bratva story but it lacked something that made it one of the best.
HERO was once a whore turned criminal boss and when one of the men he knew, son of the enemy proposed for him to take care (marry) his sister, Radimir doesn't refuse him. Rad is mean to anyone who isn't his Pakhan, Yakov or his wife, Emeliya. He's quite besotted with her except from a betrayal in the past left him more or less cautious. When I said there wasn't much to go on, the two of them were pretty much all over each other since the beginning so there wasn't much fun anymore to the story when it was more about their internal politics, the FBI and also just the bad guys. The relationship development while there, faded into the background. For readers like me who is more relationship focused, will find it boring after awhile because the carrot is gone.
HEROINE is beautiful, sleek but meek. After her brother betrays their horrible father and gives her to a man he knows for protection, it didn't take much for her to be captivated by the much older Radimir who blows hot and cold. Can't say I approve of the first time he fucked her because it screamed inconsistency with his words that he won't even touch her if she doesn't want it YET once they kiss, he just attacks her. I'm a little annoyed by how Emeliya was the one who kept reaching out to Rad who kept fumbling mentally about his insecurities, doubt and later lack of ability to protect her well.
OVERALL since I'm more crazy about watching MCs fall in love without insta love and would have been good with more angst, this one was just average to me.

Although STB is book two in the series, this story follows another couple in the Bratva.
The couples of this specific Bratva cell live in perilous times! It seems the cell is crumbling from within. Lies, deceit, and betrayal compounds the challenges this family endures. One thing that remain strong in the chaos is the main characters of this story. If any two people are meant to be, it's Radimir and Emilyia. They encounter so much and each obstacle makes them stronger!
I am beyond pleased with this story. I am happy to recommend it to any lover of dark Romance. Radimir is seldom gentle with his woman during intimacy sooooooo.....ummmm that's a warning for sensitive readers.
Damn this book is so good. The first book in this series was so damn good too. I thought for sure nothing could beat the first book but this book did. I swear each book just keeps getting better. I hope it continues to do so! The characters were so amazing. I loved that the h didn't fight her fate. She saw the best in Rad and ran with it. The H in this book was the definition of hot alpha hole! He was so perfect! He loved his woman so deeply and killed anyone who tried to hurt her or interfere! The sexy scenes were fire! So damn hot! I can't wait to read the next book in this series and also see if the h's brother has his own book.
1] hot sexy man 2]smart arse of a woman who likes to question things and answers back 3]danger and chaos
Great mafia read well thought out story great characters that you connect with I fell into this book and it did not let me go I was hooked just kept on turning them pages wanting to know about the new bad boys stepping into this plot
Hayley faiman is deffo want to watch out for in fact I’m off to read the next book in the series
Radimir and “Emiliya what a beautiful story. There were quite a few little stories in this one. You never knew what might happen. He tried to throw her away but she would not let him. She was not weak but no one made it easy for her even Radimir with all the love he had for her. I am loving this series. You have to read it, only on book two but can’t wait to read them all.
What a fantastic book. Poor Em has had such a terrible upbringing by her horrible father. Thankgod her Brother Yakov made sure she was protected by Radimir. He also did not have the best growing up....but is fierce and protective. This book had me on edge....just when things were going good....BAM.....drama ensues!!!! Oh and the sweet sexy moments were so hot!!!! On to book 3 now!!!!
So much happens in this second book of the series, where to start. It’s a good and full story that does setup for the next book. In this book, we get Emiliyan. She is a Russian Princess awaiting for her father to arrange marriage. She want to go to university. Her father is not a good person. Her brother Yadov has a plan to save him and his sister from their father who is becoming more unstable each day. Read On!
I Really Wanted To Like This Series I Am A Huge Mafia Romance Lover Thanks To Cora Reily But Unfortunately I Found Almost Skimming The Steamy Scenes And Dragging This Out Almost Debating Not To Finish This Book I Read Mafia Romance Because I Am Looking For A Good Plot Good Character Development And Steamy Scenes The First And The Second Book Are Basically The Same And The Steamy Scenes Are Just Filler And Redundant Unfortunately I Think I Have Given Up On This One
I'm really enjoying how interconnected these books are and seeing the past characters and how involved they are in each other's lives. I think Rad and Em go together beautifully. Even through their own stubbornness, she is strong enough for him and he is gentle enough with her. Looking forward to the next story.
I decided to read the whole series from book 1. I love the writer's style. I have been reverted by each story. There are parts where I wanted the leading ladies to kick their men's behinds and show us how bad ass they could be. I am enjoying the series and intend to read all the books in the series.
If you are looking for a steamy action packed series this is it. I love how the Hs are complete alpha criminals. They are not sugar coated and I love it. The hs are strong women who bring them to their knees. Such a great series so far. Em is my fave heroine of this series so far and Rad he is just swoon worthy.
Esse é chatíssimo. O primeiro 1/3 é uma tortura. Praticamente folheei.
I liked the character development here and I'm glad the author didn't use angst just to fill up the pages. I liked the sweet heroine who falls in love this bad alpha. I'm glad there was no cheating on this book.
