I give this book 5 hearts


I absolutely loved this story, everything about it flows smoothly and I think most people will fall in love with Casey and Brittany.

Single mom Brittany is in trouble and facing possible jail time she needs help. So when her mother calls Casey her one true love the boy she left behind 15years earlier without explanation who is now a big shot lawyer her whole world is turned upside down.
The sparks fly when they see each other and they both realize that no matter what is happening in their lives the love never left either of them.
Brittany has a huge secret that is eating her and it is the very reason she left Casey all those years ago.
Once he knows everything changes , slowly she finds that everything she has ever wanted is happening but can she keep it?
Casey has another life to return to, will he choose to be with Brittany even though she ran away and lied for 15yrs but she completes him or will he go back to his previous life?

I laughed out loud, teared up and smiled from ear to ear. I hope you love funny, real, strong Brittany and Handsome, caring and just a dream Casey, as well as the rest of the Family.

Brittany Celdonio will do whatever it takes to protect her kids. When her daughter, Kacee, is attacked, she acts before she thinks, and finds herself in jail…but she still doesn’t regret it. The major problem now is the attacker is a Montgomery, and in this town they’re pretty much untouchable, even by the police. Regardless, Brittany will find justice for her daughter.

Casey Sanders has the perfect life from the outside—perfect fiancée, a partner in a legal firm, and set to be the next DA, but there’s still a hole in his heart that will never be filled. He’s been writing to his love since she disappeared without a trace 15 years ago. Why did she leave? Where did she go? Is she dead? These are questions that years of therapy hasn’t been able to answer.

When he gets a call from someone from his past for help, Casey drops everything and runs. Work or not, he’s been waiting half his life for this call, and he won’t miss the opportunity for answers.

Another 5 star read from Cassidy! This story is sweet, sexy, funny, heartbreaking, and jaw-dropping all at the same time. It sucks you in and you can’t help cheering for the good guys, and for love to prevail.

Both Brittany and Casey were extremely likable characters and I found myself relating to their story and personalities instantly.

Wow!!!! This book has it all. Heart-warming, gut wrenching, simmering passion, Justice, true love, and a dose of karma all wrapped up in an intriguing story. Cassidy knocks it out of the park. Casey must deal with his past when it comes knocking on his door. He thought he had the perfect life laid out in front of him, but when his pat comes knocking his realization is much different. How will he manage all of the secrets that were kept from him about his past? Will he be able to mend his relationships with Britt and his parents while building new ones? Awesome read!

Excellent novel of circumstances dividing a couple and timing reuniting them.
Loved the storyline, detail and eventual outcome.
I thoroughly enjoyed this touching tale of decisions made for seemingly the right reasons but which still incurred painful consequences.
Young love is a wonderful thing but sometimes the timing just isn't right, this is the case for Brittany and Casey. Move forward 16 years or so and we can better understand the depth of their young love and how it has endured overtime time.

Recommended to all who like a good love story.

This an amazing story about love that never dies. Making hard decisions at a young age in the name of love to protect Casey is what Brittany does but at what cost to both of them.. But when Brittany is in trouble her Mom calls the only person she knows can help knowing that there will be repercussions for all of them but a mother will do anything to help her child which is exactly what got Brittany in to trouble... Love is an incredible force that will change all their lives...

Beautiful story

This is a beautifully written second chance story, and I enjoyed reading every word of it. Casey and are wonderful together, and I was glad to see true love triumph in the end! This book is definitely one to add to my reread pile.

A very heartwarming story

I give this book 3,5 stars.

I really liked the plot and the storyline of this story and some of the romance was good but some of it was kind of forced and being obsessed with a woman for 16 years that is a little too much.

I’m kind of split down the middle with this one. On one hand I thought Casey was an amazing man. He was very forgiving towards Brittany and what she did to him and what she was hiding from him though the 16 years since she left him. He takes care of her and her two children like they belong to him. And he comes to her rescue right away even though she left him without telling him. He is caring, a father figure, forgiving and he will do anything for the people he loves. But on the other hand he is engaged to another woman and he has been obsessed with Brittany for 16 years, stringing his fiancé along. And he also cheats on his fiancé even though he tries not to.
Brittany is an amazing woman. A mother of two a girl and a boy. She is a great single mother who does everything for her children and that is also why she finds herself in trouble. She ends in jail for violence and her mother contacts Casey to take the case. But the case ends up bigger than they ever thought it would be. Brittany is very resilient, strong, understanding, a great mother and very regretful towards Casey.

I think it is a great emotional romance but it definitely has it’s flaws and that is why I can’t give more than 3,5 stars.

I can definitely recommend this book just be alert by cheating, obsessive behavior and attacks on young girls.

Second Chance?

I have read several of this author's books, and I have to admit that most I’ve read I didn't particularly like. But I do like to give an author several chances before I completely give up on them, and this is a case where I am happy that I have such a policy. I liked this book so much, even though it did have some issues. I absolutely adored the heroine, as she is such a protective mama bear. How can you not root for someone who assaults the young man who attacked her daughter? The hero, unfortunately, I went back and forth about. Of course, how could I not like his steadfastness towards the heroine, even when they haven't seen each other for 15 years? I didn't like his treatment of the current fiancee, though, as he was trying to sort out the heroine’s life and his feelings for her. Still, towards the heroine, he was everything a swoon-worthy hero should be—supportive, protective, and even a good father figure to her children. All in all, though, I did enjoy this book.

This story will grab you and hold you til the end. What do you do when your past comes calling? You listen to your gut and pick up the phone, no matter how late at night it is.

Brittany and Casey were high school sweethearts until Brittany left without a word to Casey. Casey never forgot Brittany and wrote her a letter every year but he's now settled in his life as a lawyer and is engaged to be married.

When he gets the call he drops everything to help Brittany but what will he do when he finds out the secret she kept from him?

A great story with wonderful characters and a story line that keeps you turning the pages to see what happens.

Brittney finds out she is pregnant and after talking to her mother decide to pick up and leave because Casey has big plans for his future as a lawyer and she knows she can't take that away from him. Fast forward fifteen years and when Brittney finds herself in jail trying to protect her daughter it is her mother who calls Casey for help. When he gets the call he is settled in his firm and engaged to be married but he drops everything to help Brittney but will he stay once he finds out the secret she has kept from him all those years? Great story and loved how he never forgot her and wrote her a letter once a year for all those years.

An utterly charming second chance romance novel. Our insatiable appetite for a good romance story is bottomless. Maybe they provide readers with a vicarious means to satisfy a need for a happy ending in life. I don't know, but the way this author handles situations and emotions, and generally our need to rationalise everything is amazing. The story of Brittany and Casey perhaps isn't unique, other people lose touch too, but the way the author brought home the incredible pull of their sense of emotional belonging in my opinion, was just that. Unique. Her writing style is superb and will keep you hooked to the last page of this story, which you know must surely have a happy ending.

Very sweet and melancholy romance as Brittany sacrifices everything and was able to rebuild her life with true grit.
Casey had never forgotten the love of his life, and was shocked when he was called back into her life to find that he had a daughter.
I think I felt bad for his fiancée Monica as she was pretty much forgotten as soon as Casey was reunited with Brittany. I understood his intense love and loyalty to Brittany, but he hadn’t broken up with Monica yet and she was his fiancée.
Also a bit upset with Casey’s parents and their underhanded interference in his life.

Wow this is an emotionally charged story but I was torn with these two characters. Brittany’s character is a protective single mum who left her love behind 16 years ago then she ended up in prison for protecting her daughter. Casey is the man who she left behind he has never gotten over Brittany he has a fiancée and he’s going to be the next DA, but all it takes is one phone call and Casey goes running back to Brittany. I didn’t like the way Casey treated his fiancée it was atrocious but the heart wants what the heart wants, this is a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Amazing story of second chance love. After 15 years apart and a threat to her daughter, when she takes things into her own hands she is arrested. Her mother calls her boyfriend from 15 years prior. She has kept up with him and knows he is a well-known attorney. He comes running across the country to help her. He had looked for her, but could never find her. When he realizes the daughter she was protecting is his, his whole world shifts.

What a great love lost and found again story. I loved every minute of it and just couldn't stop reading. At times it made me so emotional I actually cried. Brittany and Casey belonged together from the start. Add in Kacee and Austin and a fantastic storyline and you have everything you could possibly want in a book.

This is an amazing story of love lost and second chances. Very emotional, great chemistry between main characters.
The decisions they have to make and leave with them even the hearts were bleeding.
This story was full of suprises and a major twist at the end.It was so easy to fall in love with Brittney and Casey.

I just loved this book it had me hooked from the first couple of chapters and while I dod not agree with Brittney not telling Cash about being pregnant I did kinda understand it but I think it was a huge mistake because he proved what a good man he was dropping everything and coming to help all them years later. I would definitely recommend this book I really enjoyed it.
