Hannah is known as shy and soft-spoken but underneath she has a strong core and is an extremely hard working. When she gets the chance to win her best friends heart, once and for all, she takes it…it comes in the position of nanny on a rock and roll tour bus.

Deacon has been half in love with Hannah from day one but she is his best friend and he doesn’t want to mess up a good thing. But how is he going to resist her when she blows his mind with just her smile.

This is a case of serious lack of communication, which makes for some excellent reading.

Utterly sweet and endearing love story. He was her superhero, she saved his life and together they've always ever been best friends.

Can you say SWOON with a capital S! Harris writes humanized, lovable characters that touch a place deep in your heart.

The Nanny Arrangement is the second book in the Country Blues series. You don’t have to read books in order. I didn’t read the first book and I was perfectly fine. I really like that because I get lost easily, but this was never the case for me.

So, interesting fact, I met Rachel Harris at a book signing. The woman is REALLY nice and sweet. It pains to say I could not finish this book.

The reason for me for not finishing this book is simply because of the genre. I’m a mood reader and as I was reading this book, I felt like it was more like a chick-lit feel. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I’m just in a New Adult feel right now.

The book starts with Hannah and her best friend Deacon as childhood friends. This was only one chapter and to my surprise there was nothing more of that. I REALLY wanted the history of the friendship. I longed for flash backs or a longer beginning of them growing up. Like why did Hannah have a crush on him so bad? What awesome and sweet things did Deacon do to make her fall in love with him? It was mentioned a few times Deacon was her Hero and protector, while she played outcast, BUT I wanted to read about it, like the actual events in real time.

The first 30% of the book was a bit slow and it took a bit for me to get into. There is A LOT of character build-up and narrative writing. The author likes to set up the stage for you and there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just not my cuppa. I didn’t care to read pages and pages of narrative writing. I crave dialogue.

Hannah is the sweet nanny that will be taking care of Deacon’s son while he is on tour in his band. I LOVE single parent book. If I could, I would read single parent books daily. I was excited to read about Hannah taking care of Max. It’s nice to read where the son has a presence in a book.

I couldn’t really connect with Hannah’s character. I believed she is the shy nanny that wants to seduce her boss, but I also couldn’t see her as not being able to seduce her best friend. Does that make sense? She knew him for years, why couldn’t she just flat out say, “HEY, I like you”. Instead she tries to flirt with him and when that doesn’t work, the girls on the tour try to help Hannah out.

Overall, the book is sugary sweet , simple and very calm. I usually read books with a touch more angst or a touch more of sex. Like, I said, there is nothing wrong with a nice chick-lit book to put a smile on your face. BUT alas, it just wasn’t for me.

I had hopes for The Nanny Arrangement, but unfortunately I was disappointed. I’ll warn now that there are possible spoilers ahead.

Hannah has been in love with her best friend Deacon basically since he moved to their small town at the age of fifteen. He adores Hannah and her family but feels he isn’t good enough for her so instead he ends up with her best friend Krista, and eventually fathering a child with her. Thankfully, Krista isn’t in the story much at all, only referenced as a past element, because she takes off immediately after giving birth to their son Max. Even after Krista is gone and Hannah basically becomes like a mother to Max, Deacon still views Hannah as the perfect girl, someone on a pedestal and won’t allow his feelings of attraction come into play. Hannah doesn’t think Deacon would ever care for her, because they share an awkward moment of almost kissing or kissing? Not sure because this was never clarified and Hannah takes off for Paris to serve and an au pair. She stays away for fourteen months and then comes back to take the position of tour nanny for Deacon’s son and another band member’s daughter when Blue, the band Deacon has signed on with will be going on tour.

Much of the book is spent with Hannah pining over Deacon, barely even flirting with him even though she’s resolved to make a move, and Deacon having thoughts of Hannah, beating himself up over those “inappropriate” thoughts “because he’s not good enough”. This continues and they don’t even share a kiss until after the 50% point, and of course, Deacon regrets doing even that! I never felt these two were solidly together even after taking things to the next level, and I wanted to throw my kindle out the window at the 83% mark. So incredibly irritating! I don’t like reading a romance where I’m completely frustrated throughout the story, so The Nanny Arrangement was didn’t work for me.

I was in the mood for a quick, light and easy contemporary read and when I stumbled across The Nanny Arrangement and spotted the childhood sweethearts trope, I WAS SOLD! This was the kind of sweet, cheesy love story that I was looking for!

The Nanny Arrangement is the story of shy and sweet Hannah who makes it a mission to make her childhood best friend Deacon, the man she’s secretly in love with, finally see her as more than just her best friend. Deacon is the new fiddle player in country music’s hottest band and he needs a nanny to look after his 2-year-old son while he’s on the road. And who could be better for the job than his best friend Hannah?

This was such a cute and adorable story! It made me feel all fuzzy and warm inside – mixed with a little bit of angst towards the end of the book. This was such a quick, light and adorable book, I flew through it in 2 days!

I mean, the term ‘best-friends-to-lovers’ literally already tells you what the story is about and how it is going to end, so I guess you could say that the story was predictable. But did I care? NOPE! ABOLUTELY NOT! 😀

It was lovely to see how Hannah and Deacon worked together as best friends and how much both of them loved Deacon’s child Max! Hannah had such a bright and happy personality and that really showed when she was around the kids! She has such a creative and silly mind and it was so endearing to read about it!

The Nanny Arrangement was a perfect read for me – it had best friends falling in love, a single-father with an adorable son, a band *swoons* and some great, supportive friendships along the way! I would totally recommend it to people looking for a short contemporary read and fans of the friends-to-lovers trope who don’t mind some cheesy-ness and fluff!

I have always enjoyed the stories that Rachel creates and I was pretty excited for this one. Especially since it was a BFF to more story.

I loved Hannah and Deacon. She's sweet and he's stoic and it works. They have such a history and it was fun reading them navigate this new portion to their relationship. And one of the best parts was seeing the characters from the previous books.

My only complaint {if you could call it that} is that I wanted more of them together. They were adorable in their scenes, but it felt like we got more of each of them thinking about the other instead of actually being with them.

Of course there was the push away and the grand gesture and thankfully, the angsty times didn't last too long. The epilogue was perfect and left me wanting more. I can't wait to see who the next book is about.

I seriously can't say enough good things about this book! I had been not so patiently waiting for Deacon and Hannah's story and I was not disappointed. This is definitely one I didn't want to put down. Due to family commitments I was required to read it in two settings instead of one. Boo! This might be one I reread.

I can honestly say that Rachel Harris does not disappoint her readers with The Nanny Arrangement. This book is number two in her Country Blues series and is tied to her Love & Games series however, it can easily be read as a standalone. Yes, as the title implies the nanny and her employer (well one of them) fall in love, but they happen to be best friends since their early high school years. This was a sweet friends to lovers story in which we get a glimpse of their past lives together, the incident that sent the heroine fleeing to France as an au pair, and a look at them figuring out in each other they have everything they could want and more.

Deacon Lattrell is finally making his dreams come true, as the new fiddle and keyboardist for Blue, an up and coming country rock band. Heading out on tour, Blue’s management hires Deacon’s best friend, Hannah Fisher, to be the band’s nanny which works great for him because she has spent a lot of time with Max since his birth. Hannah having just returned from France is on a mission to make Deacon see her as more than a friend, little does she know that Deacon has noticed her but fears losing his best friend and Max losing her as a nanny if he acts on his feelings.

Honestly, I always find myself smiling when I read a book by Ms. Harris because they just make me happy. For years Deacon protected Hannah and she called him her Superman and he called her Cherry because of her red hair and her easy blush. When she befriended the “new kid” on the block she never imagined having such a great friend and as she realized his home situation wasn’t the best, her parents gave him guidance, love, support and a place to land when he needed it. Becoming a single Dad after his son’s mother took off at the hospital, threw him but between Hannah and her parents he is giving everything he can to make sure his son knows he is loved and has the stability he never felt. Both Hannah and Deacon were insecure about many things, but what I loved was that they were always there to lift one another up and help each other see that they were stronger than they realized.

I very much enjoyed the sensuality of The Nanny Arrangement, the camaraderie of the band and their significant others, the adorable Max, and these friends finding their way to each other despite a few bumps in the road along the way.

This is a delightful friends to lovers romance with great characters and a plot that keeps readers guessing to very near the end. Hannah Fisher was the victim of many bullies through her school years. As a red-haired girl wearing unfashionable clothes who had a speech impediment, she really didn’t expect anything else. However, when Deacon Latrell moved into a neighbouring property she was brave enough to introduce herself to him and that was the start of their friendship. He stuck up for her, she looked out for him, he was her Superman and they were BFF. She inspired him to try playing musical instruments and now he’s playing with a top country music group. The problem is, being friends is not enough and Hannah has returned from working in Paris to join Deacon travelling on tour with her working as his son’s nanny. Hannah has also decided that she’s going to stop just being Deacon’s best friend, she’s going to get him to see her as a woman and hopefully get him to love her like she has loved him for years. . . . .

The background of the two main characters, their interactions and shared love of Max, shine through this story. They aren’t, however, the only great characters in the story. Other members of the band and their partners all play key roles in this heartwarming romance. Insecurities, dreams, anxieties and new friendships are all going on this band tour, each contributing to the whole melodious composition that is a story of having the courage to move from ‘only’ BFF to give romance and love a chance.

I was gifted a copy of this novel via NetGalley, chose to read it and this is my honest opinion after doing so. You’re Still the One is the first book in this series – and I enjoyed that one, too!

Deacon likes to make sure he does right by his girl, "Deacon grabbed onto her wrists. “Our first kiss was outside on the effing street.” Guilt swamped his eyes.“ You deserved better than that. You darn sure deserve better than being groped like a horny teenager in the back of a car.” I really liked this book, I thought it was sweet and it was a great friends to lovers romance.

Let me start this off like this. I did not know that this was a part of a series. I felt this was a complete standalone read that will ride you all the way to the end and then some if you so like. The cover got my attention with the beautiful background and a young couple on. Then it was the title of the book. Then I began reading and found a good read. The band was filled with some very interesting characters. I would like to find out more about them, later. This time I focus on Hannah and Deacon.

Hannah had loved Deacon for a very long time. Now, she no longer wanted to keep that locked away inside of herself. She was going to make a go for the one man she had dreamed of for so long. Deacon missed his BFF and wanted her to take on the role of his nanny. Things most certainly had changed in the time they had been apart. There were a lot of things that had to be aired and cleared between them. The chemistry between the two was a slow gradual build. The romance sweet. The steam and heat were low key but clear. The characters that surrounded them were welcoming and added to the read.

Needing a sweet gentle romance with friends-to-lovers that will give you a good back story and gradual climb upward. Then you need look no further. Pick up The Nanny Arrangement.

Hannah Fisher and Deacon Latrell have been friends for ten years. Really from the day she got the courage to walk across the street to talk to the boy in the neighborhood who was shooting baskets. From the moment she hi. He would help her through high school but would allow another girl to come between them and after she had a baby she left him and the baby, but Hannah has been there for both of them since day one. Deciding to go to Paris for six months she is now back and has taken a job as a nanny for the band that Deacon has joined. Her other plan is to get Deacon to notice her as well, but if that doesn’t work out at least she knows that she tired and she will be able to move on with her life. The wives’ and girlfriends of the band like her and think that they should be a couple. During the tour things begin to heat up and Deacon begins to allow old ideas that he has about himself to creep back into his mind and because of that he fires Hannah without talking it over with the band and more importantly with Hannah. When he thinks he can talk to her she is already gone and he realizes that he has screwed up royally. There is only one way to fix this but he does not even know if she will be in their home town when the tour gets there. Find out what happens in this very good story. This book is technically book two of the Country Blues series, but you do not have to read You're Still The One (or Accidentally Married On Purpose where we meet Tyler and Sherry) to enjoy this book, although you should because they're great books. This one completely stands alone and does not end on a cliffhanger. Any sex that happens is behind closed doors, but there is cursing, including two f-bombs (which don't offend me at all but felt really out of place in this story).

This book is seriously adorable. I was intrigued by the tiny snippet of Deacon and Hannah in You're Still The One, but I had no idea just how much I would enjoy this book. Their relationship is so sweet from the very start that I couldn't help but root for these two to figure out what we all knew – that they were totally meant to be. I do wish there had been more of Hannah and Deacon together, but thankfully Sherry and Ella were characters I am familiar with so their time spent together was nostalgic for me rather than seeming completely out of left field. I will admit that there were moments that I wasn't sure if Hannah would get it together, that she would never actually realize that she was worth more than she believed, but I was very pleased with how it all played out. Although Deacon screws up occasionally, the way that he loves and dotes on his son is so incredibly special. As much as I loved his bond with Hannah, his relationship with his son was even better. There is nothing as sexy as a man who loves his children.

One thing that Rachel Harris does so wonderfully is to infuse her books with both subtle and laugh-out-loud humor. I also found myself not only laughing out loud, but also smiling and chuckling at subtle phrasings or things that were happening. That happened so often that I lost count - I LOVE a book that makes me laugh, and Ms. Harris' books never fail to do that.

If you're looking for a sweet friends-to-lovers book that will make you swoon, make you laugh, break your heart a little and then put it back together, and make you smile, you should definitely give this book (and You're Still The One, and the Love and Games series) a read. I have really loved the last few books and cannot wait for Miles and Nate's stories.

I was very generously granted an ARC of this book by the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because I very much enjoyed this story.

Before diving into this one I decided to read the first book, and I enjoyed it very much. Hannah and Deacon were mentioned in that book when the band needs a nanny during their next tour and Hannah offers.

Hannah and Deacon have been best friends for years and it broke her heart when Deacon never saw her as more than his friend. She was always there for him and also his little son when his girlfriend ran off. But now she has decided to put it all on the line to 'find her happy' and find if there can ever be more between them.

I really liked Hannah and it was great how the heroines of the first book and from an earlier book (Ella and Sherry) teamed up with her to give Deacon that push needed to open his eyes. The writing is good and even without stesmy scenes it is a full out romance.

I received an ARC via Netgalley and this is my honest review.

The Nanny Arrangement by Rachel Harris was a well written and heartwarming read.

I enjoyed the storyline, the plot was entertaining and held my interest all throughout the book.
Hannah and Deacon were likable, endearing characters that I easily connected with and loved watching them move from friends to lovers.
They made me laugh, they made me swoon and they touched my heart with their pain.
These two had been through a lot and totally deserved their HEA.

I'm a huge fan of Rachel Harris's writing and once again she's given us a beautiful and heartfelt read.
The Nanny Arrangement is the second book from the Country Blues series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them.

I fell in love with book 2 in the Country Blues Series. Although I have not yet read book 1, I was so captivated by this story. Rachel Harris was able to add so much longing and fortitude to this epic best friends to lovers romance. It was hard to put this book down because it was written with eloquence. The flow of the book was perfect with a conversational writing style. The Nanny Arrangement was empowering, adventurous, nostalgic, passionate, and an addicting romance.

Hannah Fischer was a shy woman who was tired of being afraid.
description

She wasn't the popular girl in school, but also didn't want to just fit in. She wanted to finally be comfortable in her own skin. She did have a stuttering problem, but learned some tricks to help her with it. Now, nothing could hold her back..at least that's what she thought. It's hard to change others opinions of yourself, but there was a new kid in town. That meant no judgement. Maybe she could befriend the mysterious and attractive boy who happened to also be her neighbor. Could she muster up the courage to talk to him? And if she did go up to him would she be strong enough to handle possible rejection?

Deacon Latrell was the new boy in town.
description

He didn't grow up in a great family environment, so it was hard for him to open his heart to anyone. He was a bad boy and rebel. One day, a red haired girl came up to him and his life changed forever. Hannah and her parents took him in and he became part of their family. His past had always affected him. Even though he was living a better and happier life, he always seemed to think the worst. Could he finally let go of his past and be happy?

Hannah and Deke were inseparable. Hannah knew the first day she met him that she wanted more. He was the only person who seemed to not judge her and be a real friend. He looked out for her and stood up to those who tried to bully her. Hannah was protective of him too. She understood him from the way he thought and why he thought like that. She always wanted to protect him and his heart. That's what made these two so special. They genuinely cared about each other with no strings attached. A life where they weren't right by each other's side was hard to imagine, but one day it happened. Hannah went to Paris and THANK GOD FOR PARIS ;)

Paris changed everything. Hannah learned that she wanted more in her life starting with Deke. She wanted out of the friend zone and made it her mission to do so. But could Deacon ever see her as more than a friend? It was fun trying to find out. She got a job as a nanny for a popular country group 'Blue' who Deacon was now apart of. Deacon plus Hannah on the road together sounded like a great start to bringing these two together. With the help of some new friends and bandmates Deacon would finally see his best friend as a WOMAN whether he was emotionally ready or not.

It was so fun to read about their relationship and how constant their affection was for each other. This book will have you believing in soul mates again. I really enjoyed that this wasn't your typical rock star book. Yes, a band was involved but that doesn't mean it has to be only about sex and drugs. This story was so much more. It was about self discovery and empowerment. If you had to do 1 thing out of your comfort zone each day, do you think you would live a happier life? I think I would. I am going to challenge myself to follow in Hannah's footsteps and stop letting my shyness/fear stop me from accomplishing what I truly want. Another great thing about this book was the characters. Huge praise for Rachel in writing a great romance that gives you hope to overcome your fears and go for what you want. Oh and just an FYI, you will be singing silly songs and talking in funny accents after you read this adorable and fun romance.

I have to say this is one of those "Kept me up all night reads" literally. I started this book around 9pm and yes I stayed up until 9am and I finished this book in one sitting. I couldn't seem to stop. The characters drew me in. This is a "friends to lovers" story. With the heroine being the "ugly duckling" who finds her confidence to go after what she wants, her best friend, the hero, Deacon. I loved watching Deacon come to terms with his feelings, it felt real and natural, not forced as some stories tend to be. I enjoyed watching/reading as Hannah found her confidence in herself and what she wanted, where her happiness was even if it meant in the long run she might be hurt. There were a lot of secondary characters to love as well, including Max. I now have to go get the other titles in this series and read them, I want to know more about these characters and can't wait to see them all again in a future novel. Fans of great contemporary romances with the friends to lovers storyline will enjoy this one a lot. I do wish we'd seen a bit more flashbacks but mostly only because I think it would have given me more of an idea of what BOTH characters saw as kids but overall I don't feel it affected my enjoyment of this story. The characters are well written and believable. The backdrop of the country music world did add a bit to the story but honestly this one felt like it could have happened anywhere and still be a good story. As this is part of a series I always worry that I'll be lost or need to read the stories in order but I found that wasn't the case. I was fine not reading the previous stories, although now I do want to find them and read them. I do hope we see more of Deacon and Hannah in future stories, as I'd like to know what the future holds for them. This was a highly enjoyable read that I feel should be added to your "to be read"pile today.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

I enjoyed this story as I love books with single parents and this one wasn't one of my favorites but definitely an okay read for me

Hannah had been in love with Deacon for a long time. But now things have changed and she is ready to show Deacon how she felt and also for him to notice her as a women and not just his BFF

This chemistry between Hannah and Deacon was a slow build up, so if you in the mood for a nice friends to lovers romance then this one is definitely for you. But I advice that you start at Book 1

He was her hero. She was his second chance. Bonded by loneliness these childhood outsiders created a friendship that could withstand anything. Except for maybe falling in love. Deacon and Hannah are magic together. They bring out the best in each other. Ms. Harris has created one of her finest works with The Nanny Arrangement. Friendship, sentiment, humor and heart are all subjects easy to relate to and made this story a resounding success.

Once I made it past a very slow start, The Nanny Arrangement turned out to be an incredibly sweet read! I love a good friends-to-lovers trope and Hannah and Deacon fit the bill with charm and grace..even with all their miscommunication hiccups! And Deacon's son Max made an adorable addition to the storyline, as did a great supporting cast of secondary characters. Book two in the Country Blues series, The Nanny Arrangement can easily be read as a stand alone.

While I didn't read the first book, I assumed this could have been read without it. I'm not sure if that's true, or not. The story mentions a lot about the past but doesn't actually offer up much of what exactly happened, and I can't know if that is mentioned in book 1. Why I assume it wasn't is because I think it's a different couple from this couple here.

Another aspect I didn't like of this book was that many times I kept going "how did we get here?". Indeed, how did we get there, one moment we are going to a hotel with Hannah and Deacon and then next its like a different day and an entirely different scene and while the chapter broke it up I had this happen in the chapters as well. We would be reading about Deacon and his feelings and then suddenly he's at a fan meet and greet signing. How did we get there? Was he reflecting back to his time with Hannah in the previous day? It wasn't clear at all.

Hannah and Deacon's love doesn't completely shine through especially with their long long internal monologues. They both have feelings for each other but both are held back by different things, a sense of duty, a sense of self worth, a sense of pride, and a sense of hurt. This gets annoying and could have been cut down in half. I personally don't enjoy books with tons and tons of internalizing, I prefer a lot of dialogue to break it up.

While the story is mildly engaging I found myself board, wandering and not wanting to finish it but I knew I also did want to finish it. The story isn't bad, it just could be tightened up a bit.

Hannah is a woman who as a child struggled with a stutter, homemade clothing, older parents and constantly being bullied. Deacon has absent parents who enjoy the bottle more than him. But we never experience these feelings with him, we never feel these things with him or understand quite how they impact him. One day Hannah decides to go outside and talk to Deacon. They become fast friends BFFs who have always loved each other. It's alluded to there being a reason that Hannah fled to Paris, but it is never exactly expanded on what just happened, as though we are just supposed to know unless of course this is mentioned in book 1. Either way a refresh would have been nice. Eventually Deacon gets signed on to a country band named Blue and Hannah is asked to be a nanny for the band. One of the band members has a daughter and another one on the way and Deacon, well Deacon has a son named Max. And so Hannah becomes their nanny while the band is on tour. This allows Deacon and Hannah to possibly go beyond the friend zone.

Anyways, while the book has book parts and bad parts I just wished it was cleaned up a little bit more. There is definitely potential here for sure.

Thank you to the author, and publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book for free via NetGalley for my open and honest opinion. All opinions in this review are mine and mine alone.

Rachel Harris takes the friends to lovers trope and *completely* knocks it out of the park with THE NANNY ARRANGEMENT. Seriously -- out. of. the. park.

As with everything Rachel writes, I found myself immediately living IN this story. I fought sleep to root for Hannah and Deacon, because they both felt so real to me, I *needed* these new friends of mine to find their happily ever after. I COULD NOT REST UNTIL THEY DID! lol. And boy, did they. This book got me right in the feels -- making me squirm in my seat and cry happy tears onto my Kindle.

And did I mention that Deacon is a rock star? Yeah, a freaking country rock star. And he doesn't let it go to his head. He still has a heart of gold, especially for his son Max, and one of my favorite things about this book is how deep his character is. Deacon isn't JUST a rock star. He's a real man, a real father, a real friend... and all of these different layers of him make him an irresistible book boyfriend.

And Hannah -- sweet Hannah. She was the perfect woman for him, and I couldn't help but love her. I'm in awe of how smoothly Rachel avoided all cliche to create such a deep, relatable, truly likeable heroine.

In this book, Rachel created two characters I *loved* rooting for. This book wasn't simply friends to lovers -- it was friends to epic soulmates that are going to bring the heart back to country rock and roll.

3.5 stars -- I received a free copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review/opinion.

Mmmm, I love me a good friends to lovers story. I was hooked from the prologue too, I just felt Hannah's voice in her 14/15 year old self, and how much she put on the line to approach Deacon. And I felt his overwhelming loneliness and despair. Honestly, it was so good I was bummed for a tiny second that I wasn't getting the young adult novel of their story. :P I will admit that that prologue was a full 5 stars for me, and that it was sort of on a different level. But saying that, the story that followed was still all sorts of satisfying and grin inducing.

I really enjoy these romances from Ms. Harris. They just have the perfect blend of sweet characters, great chemistry, steamy scenes (even if the books are fade to black, there are still tummy tingling hot spots), fabulous supporting characters, with just the right hint of strife without going overboard. I can honestly say I was worried that Deacon's inability to trust would wear on me...and it almost did. It rode the edge (probably more than I would have liked, it got a bit frustrating). But I was satisfied that the turnaround was short, so I didn't have to be disappointed in him for long. And it's always so satisfying to see a reluctant hero nudged in the right direction (go Sherry and Arabella!).

I was also concerned with the kid aspect, b/c I'm not really a kid person. And while the kid speak didn't really work for me (sue me, I'm not won over by "wovins" and "mes a cowboy"), I did really appreciate the way Hannah was with the kids. I respected the hell out of her, she really seemed to genuinely love the job, and it made her happy, and she treated them with respect and encouragement. I love seeing positive adult role models...or parents...or whatever.

Hannah was a bit of a contradiction. I loved the strong parts of her I saw, and I felt for her shyness and insecurity. I LOVED the friendships she formed with Sherry and Arabella, it made my heart happy. And when she finally made her move (in the limo) I loved the passion in her and the way she stood up for herself and Deacon... I will admit that I wish I'd seen more earlier on, but I'll take what I can get. It seems both my hero and heroine had awesome bits, but the things that they clung to and allowed to get in the way got a bit frustrating.

As a side note, while it's not required to read any other books in this series (or the related one), if you have read Tyler & Sherry's story and Charlie & Arabella's story, you will be very satisfied with the glimpses you get into their lives!!

So all in all, it was a great read! Especially if you're looking for a solid, Harlequin-esque romance (the Harlequin Romance line, not the Blaze line. :P ). I wonder if it will be Nate or Miles next?

"In twenty-five years, there were only ever two things he was proud of in his life: Being a father to his son, and being Hannah's friend."

Oh, my heart!!!

This book made me smile so much.
I enjoy friends-to-lovers romances the most!

Hannah and Deacon's friendship is something that you strive for, but the love they both share deep down, is inspiring!
Even though it's not said, or even shown, their love is there for so many to see.

Throw a sweet little boy named Max into the mix, and you have yourself one of the sweetest love stories!!

"She was his center of gravity, the calm in his storm."

This story was full of laughter, swoons, and pulls on your heartstrings.
You want these two together more than anything!

Rachel Harris knows how to write a great romance!!
Hannah and Deacon have stolen a piece of my heart! And I'm so smitten with his little boy!!

I can't wait for the next book within this series, because I don't want to give these characters up yet!!!
Soooooo good!!

"I promise I'll make you so damn happy."
"You already have."

I fell in love with Max and Deacon. Deacon who was broken and didn’t feel he was worthy of love. Deacon who felt he had to prove himself and that at any time those who say they are his friends will leave. His only constant was Hannah. the girl who saved him when he was in high school. the girl who makes him feel he can conquer it all. The one who grounds him and loves his son unconditionally. He has a hard time believing that she could love him though. He also is afraid that if he acts on his feelings they will lose their friendship and Max will lose her in his life as well.

You feel for Deacon so much. I mean he does some silly mistakes but they are with the best intentions. His love and devotion to his son is heartwarming. Every moment is for that little boy. So when Hannah comes back and becomes his bands nanny he is happy but also scared. He gets his Hannah back but his feelings scare him. And the last thing he wants is to lose his everything.

Hannah though is not seeing that. She is on a mission to get Deacon. this sweet girl who has those little ones fawning over her is not exactly men savvy. She has two friends though who want to help for they see the way Deacon and Hannah are hung over the moon for each other and want Deacon to have happiness. Watching her try to be sexy and suave is entertaining. In Deacon’s mind she is all those things without trying. He sees what she in on the inside and that is what he is attracted to. What is there exudes outward and makes her more radiant and beautiful. How she is with his son has him love her more. When Deacon does finally give in wowza. that is some super sexy times. Deacon is so sweet and wonderful just lacks belief that he is worth it for anyone. With his past it isn’t hard to see why.

I love Deacon’s protective nature and how he wants to do what is right no matter the cost. When he makes a mistake he owns up to it and does anything he can to make it right. when he believes Hannah is letting go of her dream he does what he can to make it right. Only that hurts so many. Even himself. But Hannah also needs to realize that she may have shown Deacon her feelings but never told him he was worth it and he was what she wanted and needed.

when they correct their mistake at the end we get a really swoonworthy moment that will warm your heart. These two are so meant to be together and this is their story. A story of friendship, love and finding your strength. Of finally seeing you are worthy of love and letting it in. A story with a adorably precious little boy who warms your heart and his equally sexy and precious dad who needs his healed. A story with a friendship that heals and becomes more. A love between two people that is healing and wonderful.

I really wanted to like this book, the cover got my attention and I decided to go for it. What I loved about the story.....
how Hannah and Deacon met as high school teens, instant best friends
Hannah's parents, great characters
Hannah overcomes her stuttering (unfortunately she still remains insecure about her speaking abilities throughout the story and doesn't realize the courage/strength she has, but was still mighty proud of her and also thought she was a hero for trying to keep Deacon out of fights in high school on her behalf, she is an easy character to love, quirks and all)
The band Deacon is traveling with, enjoyed how the ladies befriend Hannah and want her to be happy
The kids, Max and Lizzie, brought many cute/sweet moments to the story

What I thought ruined what was an already great story.....
the profanity-it was there from the beginning and I really had to overlook it to read on, just isn't necessary and is easily avoidable. hell, a**hats, a-holes, screw and several more......wanted to comment saying it was mostly Deacon and the men who curse but it's the ladies too

lots of sensuality between Hannah and Deacon from the start, he attempts to dampen his attraction to her by thinking sports statistics....Hannah playfully brings lingerie on tour in her attempts to get Deacon's attention.....LOTS of comments on what he notices about her curves, an amusing scene in a bar where Hannah is practicing flirting, etc. (the bodyguard claims he was nearby but he shows up way too late for my comfort)

one sex scene that I considered very inappropriate to what I thought was supposed to be a sweet book

This didn't ruin the story, but felt it could've been handled better.......
didn't like how insecure Deacon was being part of the band and being a father
didn't like how insecure Hannah was and how she makes herself so desperate for Deacon, makes herself too available for him
how Deacon misses his son's birthday trying to schmooze the band's owner
(I realize each of these scenes were meant to add drama to the plot, but they made it more difficult for me to enjoy the book)

I did consider this a good story, but I don't think I'm the intended audience for all the profanity and sexuality. I hope other readers enjoy this book more than I did, I had hoped the romance would be much cleaner than it was.

Thanks to the publisher for the review copy provided via NetGalley, the thoughts and comments are my own.

There's so much to love and enjoy in this sweet, adorable, and ardent romance story that hit all the three S's on several occasion - yes, I was smiling, swooning and sighing ( a nice way to say sobbing) while reading, and ended up inhaling this delightfully charming story.
One of my favorite type of romances is when the best friends find love with each other. The relationship has such a solid and strong foundation to built on, it is easy to see the romance carry on for ever after.
What Hannah Fisher and Deacon Latrell have is something special, it is a unique connection of their minds and souls, and as corny as it might sound, they truly do complete each other.
Deacon Latrell had been kicked around as a kid, growing up in rough and tough environment taught him to keep people at arm's length. Until Hannah crossed the street and walked into his life. Then he turned into a protective superhero, who looked after her, kept her safe from bullies, grew up with her, and always had her back. Just like Hannah had his.
Hannah Fisher had loved Deacon for ten years, from the moment they met. He was her best friend, her Superman, the one person who saw her true self, not her clothing or her stuttering or her status at the school. She had tried to escape her feelings for Deacon, yet upon failure decided it is time to act and go after her dreams. Hannah is a sweet, caring, and kind person. She loves kids, and her gentleness and genuine caring for others draws people in, her selfless nature makes it easy to be around her.
The development of the relationship between Hannah and Deacon is filled with humor, tenderness, and tears. It was impossible not to adore how they relate to each other. The feelings between them are tangible, yet to risk the friendship and everything they have and have had, and to take their relationship to a next level is a step that brings angst and fear into the picture, jitters that can end up wrecking all that they used to have.
I enjoyed the good energy and the positivity of the story. The band, even though famous, was not acting like 'famous rock stars', they were fun and lively, family oriented, and a friendly bunch that you wanted to spend time with.
Hannah's parents and especially her dad has a special relationship with Deacon. The way the Fisher's embraced Deacon as a young boy, and now as a man is admirable. The love and consideration they have for Deacon and his son Max is a beautiful thing to witness.
With humor and tense, deep emotions, the author tells a story filled with devotion, affection, and loyalty. A story that goes from ardent to anxious to tender and doting. Absolutely a delightful tale that filled my heart and left me smiling

I am truly in love with books about best friends falling in love. I think it is the feeling of knowing they are like the perfect half to complete them, perhaps it is because I would want to be with someone that really knows me. Anyway, I like this kind of books.

The Nanny Arrangement is one of the latest books I have read and enjoyed. I did not read the first book in the series, but both of them are standalone so... I did not get lost when reading about characters --which I completely appreciate. Yet, I would really want to read Charlie and Arabella's story because while reading TNA, I also enjoyed getting to know the other characters' relationships. Okay, getting to the point --TNA is fantastic, the plot was fascinating it really captured my mind because I could not stop reading it, plus the two-and-a-half main characters were absolutely amazing,
and when it comes to facing their fears, Hannah and Deacon made it worth. Of course, every time little Max appeared on the scene I melted due to his cuteness, he was the best of the book.

Along the book, we are able to understand why Hannah and Deacon did not confess their feeling for each other sooner, and every ups and downs of their friendship makes sense when you get to know what they were thinking/feeling during those periods. TNA is so sweet you would need to be careful. There is no way I will not be reading another of Rachel's books; if they are all like this one, it would be amazing. I totally recommend this and all Rachel's books to every single one of you. TNA is a lovely, and sweet reading --which does include the right amount of drama to make it a great book. And it has of those endings the characters truly deserve.

Book: 4.5 lovely stars!

Friends to lovers has always been one of my favorite tropes and when I saw that Rachel Harris had a new book coming out I jumped at the chance to read it.

Hannah and Deacon have been best friends for 10 years. Hannah has always loved Deacon as more than a friend, but never revealed her feelings.
After returning from a year in Paris to heal some wounds from a broken heart and work as an Au pair, she vows to change things in her life, including getting Deacon to see her as more than just a friend and start "Operation Find My Happy" She takes a job as a nanny for Deacon's son who she adores, while the band he's in is on tour. His son's mom (and ex-friend of Hannah's) ran off right after the baby was born a few years prior. Traveling with them on the tour bus, it's the perfect opportunity to see if there could be more between them.
Hannah is a strong, sweet and honest person and has always been there for him. Deacon has always cherished their friendship and can't imagine his life without her in it. Can she show him they could be so much more than just friends? Will he take the chance?

I loved their story. Sweet, swoony and just the right amount of angst. I even got a little emotional at the end.

While there are characters from past books [Accidentally Married on Purpose (Love and Games #3) / You're Still the One (Country Blues #1)], this can be read as a stand-alone. I highly recommend this and the other books! Love these characters!

I know that a best friends to lovers story is always predictable. Everyone knows how it's going to end. But what makes it one of my favourite tropes is the journey of the protagonists. I love reading the ups and downs between friends and how their perception of each other changes subtly to include their love. And this book, which is among the first of the author's I have read, tells a take which has come to induce a soft feeling in my heart.

The tale is cute and swoon worthy and I can read it again to enjoy Hannah's sweetness and Deacon's tough guy act. That isn't to say that there wasn't a situation where I felt like smacking them. The second half had me feeling a tad annoyed, especially with Deacon!

Hannah is such a breath of fresh air with her shyness and her determination to get Deacon. Deacon comes across as such a serious guy who reveals his character in layers. The setting of the shows and their constant travel worked well for their love story. Do you know who really knocked off my socks? MAX! I love him and his shenanigans. He is so adorable!!

I remember reading the book at work and when my colleagues came to know the title, they teased me saying that it sounded like an employee seducing a boss kind of story. That's when I realised that though it had that theme too, it was mainly a friends to lovers one and it was a sweet romance and didn't have too much heat in the romance which suits the story to a T.

If you are looking for a not too complicated romance with a sweet story and drool worthy hero and a heroine you can understand, then this one is for you!

I received a copy for reviewing purposes.

My one line review : A perfectly sweet and cute romance for a breezy read.

My rating : 5/5

My reread factor : 4/5
