Being it a sort of prequel/sequel I loved it and it gave some closure on what was going on and Ally Gervais, I can tell she put a lot into making this story and I’ve grown to love these characters in the period of two days and I could say it was one hella of a ride. Reading the first to this book was amazing and the content was something I was not always comfortable about and that with the mentions of suicide and the way anyone could make a huge difference in ones life, I loved Hadley and Archer so much that it was unbelievable to think that this sort of relationship seemed to go nowhere but it did and it goes to the point where everyone got what they needed to heal and that is something that I needed in a story. Death, I never thought I would like him in a sort of human form, though I am scared of the idea and all I got a sort of view that I didn’t see, although death is fictional, I can say so for Hades (in PJO) where I got to also connect and I feel that death looked at as a sort of bad guy and I just love how there was a reason for his fall. I’m not religious I’m just some teen who loves stories. If Ally were to make a movie or tv show with these characters I wouldn’t be hesitant to watch it 😊

Finally finished the series!

So this book is just a short story that explain more about the other 2 books. The POV is vary, from Regina, Archer, Hadley, Carlo, and Chris. I become know things that did not explained in the other 2 books. Like the time Chris had relationship with Regina, the wedding of Archer-Hadley until the prom. It is good to know little things in the story, so I feel like really know their life. It is what I love by reading a book<3

It was amazing to read. Really. 8 flashbacks of not only the lives of Archer and Hadley, but also Regina, Chris and Carlo.. It was just great. If you have already read those previous books, I am 100% sure you are going to love this one.

So 27 Days was a paint by the number spin on what was actually a unique story. It never quite landed for me, and much of the story seemed focused on delivering as many Italian characters as possible into every scene, but was enjoyable nonetheless.

The book itself was based on Wattpad fiction, for which a sequel and a compendium of vignettes was available. The sequel got 3 stars from me. It was based on an earlier plot line, so some of the characters were collapsed into each other for 27 days, so I had to break that down, and also it wasn’t as polished. There were narrative quirks, draft writing, and the character of Archer can be painful to read. (I still remember a couple hundred books later that every time he had to drive more than twenty minutes he complained about his ‘sore ass.’ He should see someone about that.)

The vignettes in this compendium fill in some holes in the universe. They’re fine. We’re introduced to Archer’s step-father Chris, and while he’s perfectly nice, his backstory clearly ends at his murder at the hands of Archer’s father, and that was steered clear of, likely because it got so much coverage already. It’s fine, but it’s odd to meet a happy character that we know is going to be killed for a meet cute.

This feels like a bit less than the sequel, but I only give two stars if something went wrong, and given I’m judging something written for fun on WattPad, I have to give it the benefit of the doubt. 3 stars it is.

I’m very interested to return if the author publishes more in this series. Great plot idea!
