The Cups Triptych #3

The Space Between

Rate this book
It all comes down to this.

Run and hide? Or turn and fight? Thing is, does he tell Rebecca about the dead body, where her shot friend is being hidden, why his friend is decidedly more hirsute than normal...or save that *for* a second date. That is if they all live long enough for a second date.

And time isn't on his side.

With the Cult hunting him, McLachlan is left with few options. Especially if he wants to play hero and stop them using someone else as a vessel for the demon Mammon.

"The Space Between" is the third book in The Cups Triptych and starts immediately at the close of the previous book - "How to be Dead" (five stars on Amazon - little generous but not complaining). "The Space Between" follows Rebecca as she finds a better sense of herself in a very strange new world amid new people. All the while McLachlan heads for a confrontation that's been 23 years in the making. So grab your robe, light your best demon-summoning scented candle, and hunker down for the final installment.

If you haven't checked out the previous books in the triptych, do you yourself a solid and jump in.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It was a fun, action packed end to the triptych which developed characters and relationships which I have absolutely loved reading. The author writes well, with clever turns of phrase, pop culture references this elder millennial chuckled at and a wicked vocabulary the English teacher in me respects! What I love about these books is that while they are supernatural by genre, they're enjoyable as stories about people and not too far gone into the supernatural realm that anyone could enjoy them. I enjoy this world much like Charlaine Harris' True Blood world, but this one's far more erudite and eloquent

The fact that I read it all in one sitting says it all - Ian Thomas writes a ripping good story. If you are hoping for realistic dialogue with a bit of sarcasm, some playful inter-textual references and a character who you desperately want to see survive the action - this book is it. A fabulous summer read! And I have already read the first two in the series... addictive!

A fantastic conclusion to the trilogy. However, I have to say, four Twilight disses over three pages are almost too many disses. Well worth the read!
