Hi, I'm Paul Teague, the author of The Secret Bunker Trilogy, The Grid Trilogy and the standalone novel, Deleted.

I'm a former broadcaster and journalist with the BBC, but I have also worked as a primary school teacher, a disc jockey, a shopkeeper, a waiter and a sales rep.

If you love stories like The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, Divergent, Running Man and The Giver then you’ll enjoy my sci-fi and dystopian stories.

The Secret Bunker Trilogy was inspired by a family visit to a remarkable, real-life secret bunker at Troywood, Fife, known as ‘Scotland’s Secret Bunker’.

It paints a picture of a planet in crisis and is a fast-paced story with lots of twists and turns, all told through the voice of Dan Tracy who stumbles into an amazing and haradous adventure.

The Grid Trilogy takes place in a future world where everything has gone to ruin.

Joe Parsons must fight for survival in the gamified Grid, from which no person has ever escpaed with their life.

The standalone novel Deleted bridges the worlds of The Secret Bunker and The Grid, revealing what happens between Regeneration and Fall of Justice.

It depicts the world as we know it falling under a dark and sinister force - things will never be the same again.

I love dystopian fiction so writing these books has been a great opportunity to finally come up with my own vision of a future world where things are going haywire.

In the exciting conclusion to the “Grid Trilogy”, “Grid 3: Catharsis” the tension ramps up with the return of Joe and Lucy with a mission from his father Matt in Centrum to secure President Josh Delman who’s escaping with Tenna Schaellus through the Grid as the gameplay escalates with clones of Schälen and monsters unleashed during Catharsis.

In the Climb where the Wiz and Dillion Parsons have taken refuge with the resistance, a rebellion has broken out, many of the Centuria putting down their arms as Talya Slater, Leo and Jody plan a strategic move to break into the Fortrillium to bring Damien Hunter under control. But with Damien’s family in peril in the Umbilica, betrayed by a woman he trusted and determined to end the President's life and take over the city, his temper flares not only killing anyone in his way but taking a captured Talya Slater with him into the Grid to hunt for Delman.

Set in the only remaining Sector left after a devastating pandemic wiped out much of the population globally, President Delman is determined to stop the Catharsis which will not only kill the citizens in Sector 2 but also any hope for the existence of humanity. With secrets in his past and information in the final pages of the "Pact"revealed as well as mankind’s destiny threatened, loose threads in this well-developed story are tied up as intensity and suspense escalate with Delman seeking the help of the Justice Seekers in his struggle to rectify a wrong, and Wiz collaborating with Linwood and his brother to ensure they escape the monsters determined to kill them all. With twists and turns that keep you captivated from the first page to the last coupled with compelling and multifaceted characters the plot flows quickly and smoothly to a thrilling ending.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Grid Trilogy, especially the action-packed third book “Catharsis” and look forward to reading other novels by this author in future.

I really enjoyed this trilogy and am surprised it is not more popular. It has some great characters, great heroes and great villains. I thought some things were confusing but for the most part the ending cleared up most of my confusion. I do wish parts were better explained to begin with. While the concept isn’t entirely brand new I thought it was well done and different (enough). Would like to see more people discovering this trilogy!

This is part of a boxset by this author so I will just say that the conclusion to The Grid was fast-paced and finally brought together the multiple strands of the storyline, revealed the mysteries and the roles of each of the characters.

The trilogy writing style was certainly more 'tell' than 'show', however, it worked well and was a satisfying and enjoyable read.

Highly recommended.

3.5 stars. The story is great, page turning, stay up too late reading kinda story. More mistakes (spelling errors, missing words, etc) in the final book than the first two, which always slows down my reading.

Wordy, but a good basic story. The whole plot is not really explained until the end of the third book in the trilogy.
