A brutal war has raged for centuries. The Brotherhood of Shadow and The Children of Light each yearn to rule the planet and will stop at nothing to defeat the other. Now, from the deepest bowels of Hell, the Brotherhood has summoned demons to fight for them. The demons could end the war once and for all, if only the Brotherhood can keep them under control.
Prophecy, destiny, honour, and glory: Chaos, a soldier in The Children of Light, fights in the name of all these things and could achieve them if he wasn’t so arrogant. He believes he is the best warrior in the land, until a fateful coincidence puts him at the mercy of the demon, Anathema.
The two warriors, demon and human, strike up an intense rivalry, but their obsession to destroy one another only leads them closer together. When the forces of Heaven and Hell collide, where will their loyalties lie?

Thanks to D M Cain for giving me this book to review.
War has raged on the human realm for centuries between the Children of Light and the Brotherhood of Shadow, but now 5 demons have been summoned to destroy the Children of Light once and for all. Chaos is an up and coming solider in the Children of Light whose fighting skills are as big as his arrogance. Anathema is the youngest of the five demons summoned and is determined to prove he belongs on the human realm as such as the others. When coincidence causes Chaos and Anathema to meet, not knowing who the other is, they form an unusual friendship but as they grow closer they must decide which is more important, their duty or growing desire for each other.
A Chronicle of Chaos is an enjoyable YA novel which was well written, fast paced and full of action. I was a little wary starting this book as it sounded very dark but I liked it and had an interesting concept revolving around good and evil.
The one problem I had with this book was that the two main characters weren’t very likeable. Chaos is an immature and petulant person, but is brave and desperate for approval as he wants to live up to his destiny. Anathema is an evil character who is arrogant and wants to prove himself but is also conflicted, mostly about Chaos.
An original fantasy novel and I look forward to reading the next book The Shield of Soren. I would recommend A Chronicle of Chaos to fans of The Belgariad by David Eddings.
Let it be known that I am not a reader of the Paranormal/Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre. Let it be known that I read this book because I was asked to. Finally, let the records reflect that this book was one GREAT READ and so very WELL-WRITTEN!
By now, you all should know how much I love and appreciate well-written books! Let me tell you why this one impressed me. The imagination of this author was so huge that I actually felt the fires of hell… they were so vividly described! The creation of this "World" and its inhabitants, was very well thought out. I will never understand the minds of authors who write from this genre, but I will forever appreciate their talent to do so. I stumbled on names like Shousuke Nitaya, Seifer, Bavelize and Maleficia but moved right along at a skipping pace when I saw the name Vincent! So, to all you "humans" like me who don’t usually "dip" into this fantasy pool, D.M. Cain mixed both worlds seamlessly and flawlessly; and although I couldn’t fully wrap my mind around the fact that I was reading a "Fantasy" book, I couldn’t stop reading because it was so well written!
OK, Paranormal/Sci-Fi/Fantasy readers, if you’re searching for an A+ read, D.M. CAIN is your author and A CHRONICLE OF CHAOS is definitely your book! I give it 5 stars easy!
A fantasy world, demons, angels, complex moral dilemmas = I’m sold.
The author clearly spent a lot of time world-building for this story, and that richness comes across on every page. The writing itself is extremely well-crafted and nearly goof-free, which makes for a very enjoyable reading experience. While the book could easily be for a YA audience, the language and subject matter also feels very adult so that the book can be enjoyed by all ages.
The world itself is a bit of a mystery. It feels old (think Middle-Earth with different races/civilizations), but there are hints that something big happened in the past which brought the world to its current state. We’re immediately thrown into the conflict between the Brotherhood of Shadows and the Children of Light, and these two groups seem to have a history stretching back some time. What started this conflict? Not sure. Much of the background is purposefully vague so you have to jump right in, and the lack of exposition for the most part works really well. (It also is worth noting that this is the first book in a collection of sorts, and I suspect a lot of the other characters/storylines will be fleshed out in the sequels, which is a unique way to go about a series and I think will pay off really well.)
The plot itself was really, really good and changed in direction many times from the way I assumed things were headed – this is in no way a typical, predictable story. We start with the “bad guys” as demons are called forth from hell to do the Brotherhood’s bidding. Then the “good guys” come in and we see that the semi-immortal Children of Light are an equally fascinating culture. We meet Chaos on one side and Anathema on the other, and although they’re from different sides of the war it’s immediately clear that they’re kindred spirits. And THAT’S what I found most interesting about the story – the author shows the struggle between good and evil, even within a single character, showing that sometimes the lines are not so easily drawn.
I will say that Chaos and Anathema both really annoyed me for about the first half of the book, but they’re supposed to be arrogant, testosterone-driven know-it-alls, so I’m sure that was mostly purposeful on the author’s part. But all the whining was a bit much for me. However, once they met and the unexpected twist happened, the story got bigger with the introduction of angels and other characters, and that helped to smooth out the story for me. Because this is Chaos’s chronicle, the minor characters weren’t fleshed out very much, and even when we see glimpses from their viewpoints these characters felt a little bit flat to me. I would’ve liked to get a little wider feel for the world and these people, but again the author is clearly focused on this being Chaos’s story, so the focus makes sense.
All in all, I enjoyed the book and liked the moral complexity the author infused into the story. Definitely worth a read if you like fantasy with a unique mythology involving demons and angels.
When it comes to battle Chaos is amazing. He had defeated more enemies than his peers is highly skilled, well practised, and thought to be one of the best in the land. The problem was he knew it. Having grown up believing himself to be the child of prophecy fated to bring the downfall of the Brotherhood of Shadows his ego couldn't be much bigger. He thought he was special, exempt from the rules, that he deserved special consideration. He was arrogant and assumed he was better than everyone else. He was wrong. When the Brotherhood of Shadows sets their sights on him he realises just how much his confidence and arrogance costs.
A Chronicle of Chaos is one of the tales found within D.M. Cain's The Light and Shadow Chronicles. This war-ravaged country is filled with battles. For 130 years the Brotherhood of Shadows has fought the Children on Light in a neverending battle of even odds and stalemate, until Vincent turns to Demonic aid to press an advantage, turning a war between humans into a battle between angels, demons, and those who would stand by either side. Woven in this action-paced tale is romance, danger, betrayal, bravery and a strong cast of characters who grow and develop and the plot advances. I enjoyed how Chaos' actions cause tension, resentment and adversity to rise between allies as his arrogance and belief of superiority allow him to use his tongue to attack with as much devastation as his blade, cutting to a person's insecurities, ensuring no matter their power they know he is better than them. I enjoyed the building respect between Chaos and Anathema, the only ones who both believe they recognise each other for what they could be, even if they don't know each other's true identities at the time, they made each other better. If you like character-driven fantasy filled with high stake actions, real and raw emotions, where characters are pitted against each other in a light vs darkness tale, give A Chronicle of Chaos a go.
An epic dystopian YA masterpiece, A Chronicle of Chaos starts the saga of MC Chaos, #1 in The Light and Shadow Chronicles series, by D.M.Cain. Two factions, Children of Light - a matriarchy led by Callista, an almost 4 centuries old mother of many generations of children, whom she still governs with a firm but fair rule. Opposing them in a battle that has now encompassed all countries in the 12th Century Human World, in which the series is set, are the Brotherhood of Shadows, led by the unscrupulous Vincent Wilda, who releases five demons, including Anathema, the most powerful and narcissistic of them, from Hell to infiltrate (in human form), those who follow Callista to sow dissention and doubt among the Humans, who have summoned angels and other supernatural beings to fight on their side, to defend the World from the powers of darkness. A moral and ethical inner battle ensues for Chaos, as the headstrong and confident Soldier of Light trusts in his own (assumed) invincibility. Yet when he encounters Anathema on his nefarious mission, Chaos recognizes a kindred spirit - evoking a strange encounter in which each discovers they have similar doubts as well as courage, bravery and much more - and the two have a 'moment' which may, or may not lead to more intimacy than either ever dreamed of. D.M Cain has a fantastic repertoire of characters, scenes and believable, thrilling action throughout, which, as the title suggests, is focused on Chaos and how his emotions and loyalty are brought into question, as he wrestles with his conscience and the strange, troubling - yet wonderful feelings that have sprung up uninvited and unexpected. Don't miss A Chronicle of Chaos by D.M.Cain - a worthy storyteller in the mould of C.S Lewis and J.R.R.Tolkien - it's a modern masterpiece...get your copy as soon as you can and tell your friends!
So I started reading the Kindle sample of this book by D.M.Cain and was compelled to read me some more, so I bought the full version! Truly, I don't read a lot of this type of Fantasy as a rule - haven't even read Game of Thrones - ha! But this is quite different I think. The demonic element to this book is wonderful (demons plucked from hell and brought to earth to maim us humans!) This is always going to appeal to me. There are some wonderful power struggles, some seriously dejected soldiers and of course there is Queen Callista of the civilization of Nazaki (great name that) who is an old matriarch type but looks like a teenager! Ah, fantasy - fantastic isn't it! Anathema, Chaos are evil and petulant, although I must admit, I do like Dana - very cool. There are plenty of cool and gritty scenarios and even a couple of drunken bar scenes! Seriously, all the characters are incredibly well fleshed out and the pacing is nice for a longish book. Ms Cain is an extremely skilled writer and the editing here is top notch. Oh, and one thing that I found very satisfying were the action scenes - as a fellow writer, getting these right is a big deal. The action jumps off the page and reaches for the jugular. Intelligently written and well worth the read. Thumbs up from me!
I was unsure about this book when I started reading it, but I was quickly drawn in and was unable to put the book down. This is a story about the battle between the Children of Light and the Brotherhood of Shadow. The Children of Light have eternal youth on their side; we follow the story of Chaos, arrogant but talented, who is prophesied to be great . However, the Children of Light do not realise that the Brotherhood have demons to help them. We follow the story of Anathema, a demon tasked to work for the Brotherhood. Both Anathema and Chaos believe they are hard-done by, that they deserve better, and both are trying their hardest to prove this and gain recognition from their kind. The story is addictive, the writing rich and descriptive. This is a great read and I will definitely be reading the other books.
Heartbreaking story of eternal love and duty heavier than mountains
I chose this rating for two reasons. 1) I loved the story. It's utterly amazing and heartbreaking. However, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I could see the ending coming. Love cannot change who a person truly is. 2) The editing was good, but with an experienced proofreader, it would have been better.
I loved the writing style. D.M. Cain seems to be an old soul storyteller. I saw the characters and their world through her eyes. I could feel the frustration, joy, heartbreak, anger, love, and hate of her characters as they felt it. After particularly brutal scenes, I often was saddened and exhausted. I cannot wait to read more of Ms. Cain's offerings.
If you enjoy supernatural romance and dystopian action novels, this book and probably, this series is for you. The romance in this book is limited to sweet kissing scenes, but is between two men. If that bothers you, there are other books in the series that will probably be more to your liking.
A new Booktrope Editions of A Chronicle of Chaos was published in March 2016, and my review is of this edition.
In A Chronicle of Chaos, DM Cain takes us on a journey to a colorfully evoked fantasy world where humans allied with light and those who embrace darkness are locked in a conflict that has endured for hundreds of years.
I’m not sure where the line between YA and adult fantasy lies, but A Chronicle of Chaos seems to belong in both categories, lots of action, heroes young people can relate to and a conflict between love and duty that rocks the heroic warriors to the core.
Chaos, the flawed hero of who gives the book its name, is an impulsive young warrior of the Children of Light. Despite his fearsome battle skills, he is hypnotized by a prophesy of greatness given when he was born. He is frustrated by the matriarch of the Children of Light, Callista, because he sees her as blocking him from fulfilling his destiny. When he meets and becomes entangled with Anathema, a demon whose mission is to destroy him, instant conflict gives way to a deep relationship that brings both men to the brink of death and presents them with harrowing choices that will change their lives forever.
The book shows masterful world-building. The cover and symbols separating each chapter reveal how carefully the author has crafted these cultures. The shields of the warring armies each carry a symbol and each symbol carries a history and meaning. The two human powers contend under the banners of the Brotherhood of Shadow and the Children of Light.
Vincent who leads the Brotherhood of Shadow, visits Hell to enlist the help of demons who take on human form and regard this war as a rare opportunity to indulge in their primary pleasure in life—killing humans.
Callista, the leader of the Children of Light, reeling from the demon attacks enlists the help of angels, who are reluctant to get involved but must. As the sworn enemies of the demons, the angels’ very reason for living is to destroy demons.
An intriguing world, complex characters and lots of action. High fantasy fun.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
"Good and Evil will never look the same again." - Lisa, author of The Fire Trilogy
Normally when I’m confronted with so many books up front, I think: “That sounds like a lot of work.” Cain, however, has created such an interesting concept, it pulled me in from the start. A Chronicle of Chaos is part of a series, yes, but it can also be read as a stand-alone. Just like all the other books that will follow and you can read them in any particular order. How refreshing! There’s only one book which doesn’t comply with this feeling of freedom and that’s the final book, which will have to be read, like the title implies, last.
Chaos, our main character in this book, is a bit of a spoiled brat, in desperate need of approval from his grandmother Callista, the ruler and matriarch of his people. You do feel for him though, as does his father and his own regiment, and you want to know more about why they have such faith in Chaos, who is destined to fulfill an important prophecy and only too happy to believe that himself.
When Chaos receives yet another scolding from his grandmother before the council, he flees the city to gather his thoughts of humiliation and anger. Crossing their boundary lines he meets a stranger in a bar who seems to be struggling with the exact same things. Chaos learns and grows a great deal, basking in the knowledge there is someone else who really understands him. Anathema and Chaos develop a friendship, fighting each other, sharing stories and something stirs within them both. Something more than friendship.
The only problem is, Anathema is a demon in human form. And though both may not know it now, his mission will soon read: Destroy Chaos and his people. When the clock is ticking and everybody is looking to you for answers and salvation, do you follow orders or do you follow your own heart? And will you be able to face the consequences?
D.M. Cain once again lured me into her majestic imagination with A Chronicle of Chaos. The story began in the year 1379. For hundreds of years the Brotherhood of the Shadow and Children of Light territories had been at war with each other in a struggle to rule the land. The Brotherhood of the Shadow summoned five demons from hell into the human realm to assist in taking a stronghold for power. The demons were to report to Vincent Wilda, the leader of the Brotherhood, and they were to follow specific terms when they entered the human realm.
The terms were to answer to Vincent Wilda, take on a human disguise, and if the terms were disobeyed, they would be brought back to hell. Vincent had a strategy planned to use the demons in human form until the right time came, then they would transform into the evil creatures they really were and wipe out the Children of Light. The five demons agreed to the terms and would enjoy the massacre that was to come in the human realm.
The Children of the Light was led by a beautiful woman named Callista. Callista ruled her people with a firm, but fair hand. Her people adored her. She was a great protector and earned their undying affection.
I was captivated as the story unfolded. Battles, adventures and feelings of being an outcast intermingled with love and affection. The story of angels, demons and, above all, outright defiance kept my emotions running in crazy directions with the belief that good and evil can come together on common ground and live in peace. I am definitely a fan of D.M. Cain! I can’t wait to read the sequel! A Chronicle of Chaos is a MUST read for all fantasy lovers!
Book review by Monica McDaniel for eBook Review Gal. eBook Review Gal received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’m very impressed with the way Cain had put a spin on the familiar “good vs evil” story with this book. With angels, demons, magic, and great adventures, this is definitely a book to be placed on your “must-read” list! I must admit that in the beginning, I was a bit overwhelmed with the introduction of so many proper nouns—Meraxor, the Brotherhood, Beveliza, Vincent, Chaos—but the story quickly settled into a great pace. It gave me enough time to catch up to what all those people/places were, and it definitely kept my attention! Even though some authors may lose their readers by introducing so many concepts and people and places at once, Cain started off her story beautifully, with just enough characterization and detail to keep the story going and allow the reader to fully immerse himself/herself into the world that she has created.
We are quickly introduced to the main character, Chaos—a talented warrior who ends up feeling underappreciated because of where he was stationed. Even though he’s a little cocky and overconfident, I can relate to him and he was a great center for the novel. Chaos meets Anathema, a demon in disguise, at a bar when they were both feeling the same way. They seemed to have a connection—which leads to the main plot of the novel that involves plenty of tension and tough choices.
This is a wonderfully written, original story by Cain. The writing was rich, and characters relatable and likable, and it gripped me from the beginning to the end. I definitely recommend this for anybody who enjoys a good fantasy, and I will definitely be checking out some of Cain’s other works and eagerly await the next book!
This is the first novel in the Light and Shadow Chronicles from D.M. Cain and is a treat for all ages. There are two warring factions, the Children of Light Vs. the Brotherhood of Darkness; but it is also a love story between two foes and the complexities this brings to their lives and those around them. The descriptions are beautiful and the pace is perfect.
Chaos is a brave soldier who wants to prove himself. I felt that he was a bit unlikeable at times as he is somewhat arrogant. Chaos is a demon, so he's evil. When they met they do not know they are from different factions and become friends. This friendship develops in love. When Chaos realises that his love if really a demon he is horrified. Anthema captures him but cannot bring himself to kill Chaos, telling him that their love is an Unforgivable sin. The scenes between the two are gripping and believable. The base of the story is one that we may have seen or read before but the way it is morphed and handled is brilliant. You will believe you can predict the ending or events as they unfold but you wont.
The world is only just being built in this book. Lots of the story reflect this as it is the first part of something hopefully much larger. Although this tale is not the start of the story. You are already well into the war when this book begins and the world and many characters here are only tiny elements of a greater history.
I cannot wait for the next part. Well done. An author to keep watch of within the Fantasy genre.

The Human Realm, demons from Hell, and angels from Heaven; The Children of Light and The Brotherhood of Shadow; The first Chronicle focuses on the character, Chaos. A Fantasy world where the classic struggle between good and evil takes on an interesting twist when a good human, Chaos, and an evil demon, Anathema, fall in love. Demons can't feel love, they can only feel evil emotions, so what will happen when the evil demon Anathema experiences the emotion of love?
D.M. Cain has developed her own fantasy world and plans to write a series of books focusing on a different main character in each book. Humans populate her fantasy world, but they are different from the humans we know. The Human Realm is divided into two groups who battle for domination. The author has dropped the readers into her fantasy world where the conflict between the two major human groups changes when the Brotherhood of Shadow brings demons from Hell into the conflict. The demons can disguise themselves as humans and transform back and forth. The Children of Light counter with angels from heaven that can also disguise and transform.
D.M. Cain has a great imagination, and has written an outstanding first book in her Light and Shadow Chronicles Series. Her descriptions of the world and the inhabitants, including the demons and angels is very well done, and her writing style keeps the action moving at an enjoyable pace.
I strongly recommend this book to everyone who likes YA Fantasy.
The first book from the Light and Shadow Chronicles series called A Chronicle of Chaos sets up a fantastic world of fantasy and adventure. The main character, Chaos, is a young man in a group called Nightfall. He is destined to be a great fighter and is eager to fulfil his destiny.
He meets Anathema, a young man who is also feeling he needs to prove his value to his group. The story continues as Chaos and Anathema become closer and closer neither realising they are enemies and that Anathema and Chaos are on opposing sides.
The descriptions of the landscape and villages are breathtaking and are so good you can see the scenes in your mind. There are many battles that are tense and really pull at your nerves. The Children of Light call the angels to help fight the group Anathema has after them. All the while Anathema has demons at his disposal leading to some unimaginable battles. A Chronicle of Chaos has a lot of mythology and history that keeps your attention and will set the scene for many great tales in the books in this series.
A Chronicle of Chaos is a story of love, loss, and coming of age all within a wonderful fantasy world. I was thrilled, excited and heartbroken all at the same time. The range of emotions brought me back to D.M. Cain's first book The Phoenix Project. I'm excited to see the final book and the next book in the series.
A Chronicle of Chaos (The Light and Shadow Chronicles #1) by D.M Cain is a well written and thought-provoking with an appealing concept. The story begins in the year 1379, where centuries of the Brotherhood of the Shadow and Children of Light lands have been at battling one another over rule of the land. The Brotherhood of the Shadow call upon five demons, bring them up from the realm of hell to aid in achieving an iron grip on power. Maybe not the best idea since we are speaking of bringing demons to the realm of humans. Vincent Wilda is the leader of the Brotherhood. He is the man theses demons answer to as they are to follow peculiar conditions entering the human dominion. They’re to disguise themselves as human and help the Brotherhood win the age-long conflict against The Children of Light. One of these demons is Anathema (in human form of course), who forms friendship with Chaos, the main character that is a tad cosseted. Their relationship isn’t a terrible thing…but when Anathema’s future mission will be to destroy Chaos and his people…well some difficult issues could come to the surface. If you’re looking for a story with adventure, fantasy, a bit of mystery, and a few surprises you will want to pick up this book.
Christmas is right around the corner and this book would be an excellent gift for any young adult readers in your life. This book has two parts and the second part introduces us to a forbidden love for many reasons. The plot: a centuries-long battle for dominance between The Children of Light and The Brotherhood of Shadow which involves humans, angels and demons. The hero Chaos Lennox is immature and stubborn and Callista, the matriarch whose family dynasty rules the land of Alcherys. Cain has taken the time to develop her characters in such a way that keeps her readers captivated and each page turn brings the unexpected – never a dull moment!!! Cain also includes an unique set of maps and family trees to get her readers ready for the adventures she has planned for them in the coming chapters. Nothing like a map to add an air of “mystery”… This is the first of several books and the sequence in which her books are read is not important. A very unusual approach to a series of books which usually have to be read in sequence in order to understand the entire story fully. Cain ends this book with a teaser preview of her next book “The Shield of Soren”… I cannot wait to read her next book!

With A Chronicle of Chaos being re-released with Booktrope Publishing, I received an ARC from the author in exchange of a fair and honest review. This is a story of an ancient war, one that never stopped as the fight between the Children of Light and the Brotherhood of Darkness rage on and yet, Chaos, the somewhat arrogant protagonist and one Demon in particular, Anathema, the war takes a turn that neither could ever have expected, a turn that saw them fall in love with one another.
This is a fantasy story many will enjoy and of that many, half will read again. DM Cain has a style of writing that grips your by the scruff of the neck and fills your imagination, taking you on the adventurous ride that A Chronicle of Chaos has to offer, which is only the first novel in the Light and Shadows Chronicles, so that means there is a whole lot more of this world to be read, explored and appreciated.
DM Cain is definitely a writer to watch out for and book 2, Shield of Soren is on its way in the future and I for one can not wait for it.
DM Cain had me cringing in fear with The Phoenix Project, this time around she took me into a world of angels and demons with humankind the hapless middle group. This is much more than just a story about good versus evil. It's an insight into an unconventional love between two males one human and one a demon. Don't think for one moment that this is a gay romance in any traditional sense. The characters genders are superfluous to the books real message that of love and tolerance and overcoming obstacles and doubt. In addition to this,DM creates a visual cornucopia of demon savagery and angelic might coupled with rich detail and wonderful narrative. I'm now a dedicated fan of the series and I look forward to the next instalment.
What a spellbinding book! I was completely enraptured from start to finish! The storyline is original. the action is plentiful, the hint of romance is poignant and the ideas are fresh. I love the theme of mankind and Angels vs Demons without being overpowered by religious undertones! This is just good, freeform excitement all around and I enjoyed every moment of it. I have to admit, there were a few times the story threw a real mind trip at me that left me reeling. The descriptive visualization was amazing, I kept thinking- this would make an awesome movie! Overall, I absolutely loved this book and am eagerly awaiting a sequel!! A standing ovation from me!! **Note- Not necessarily recommended for younger readers! Nothing too graphic, just slightly mature themes.
In her second novel, D M Cain introduces us to a deep and immersing new world and to a struggle that has been raging for hundreds of years. Told through the experiences of a young man trying to earn his place in the world, and a monster struggling against his bonds, it is an intriguing glimpse into the nature of friend and foe, and into the fragility of absolutes.
Once again Cain manages to subvert our expectations, forcing upon us surprising pathos for the sociopathic, and unreasoning anger against decisions that can only objectively be described as just. I for one eagerly anticipate the next book in the series.
This Fantasy novel follows the war between two human nations – Children of Light (good) and Brothers of Shadow (evil). The author creates an intriguing world in which humans, angels and demons clash and an unexpected meeting alters the course of history. The plot is full of unexpected twists and keeps you guessing to the end. A great read, though I feel that the overuse of adjectives view slows the pace in places and the omniscient point distances me from the story (this is however a personal view). Still I think that this is an author to watch in future if you enjoy fantasy.
Great fantasy : The never ending story of the LIGHT AND THE DARK
I was reading this book and truly enjoying it. A true page turner.... Until the demon and the child of light started getting together..sorry but I'm not into 2 men being together in that sense. I guess I'm just too straight, and have been married too long; but I have stopped reading the book. I am not opposed to other people 's sexually, however I don't care to read about it.
D.M. Cain has written a wonderful story. Truly a battle between good and evil, heaven and hell, with humankind in between. Try not to start reading late at night, because you'll be late for work. Others will review the storyline. I'll just say "read it."
The Chronicles of Chaos is a very well written fantasy tale that has a unique and different approach to the old themes of angels and demons. The character development and storytelling are superb, and sure to please any fantasy reader.
Quite a light and easy read. The fights were exciting with all the powerful characters. I could really connect with the dilemma of the lead character in the end. The plot is well conceived and the book well written.
I don't usually read this kind of book. I am so glad that I did! The cover in itself made me want to read it. I will be sure to make sure my daughter and grandson read it too. I know they will enjoy it as well. I only pass along books when I myself is intrigued and I enjoy them!
A very surprising read. It blends Angels, demons, legend, and fantasy together very well. Started it just for something to do and couldn't put it down.
