This is a beautifully written book that provides scientific reasons for events that you wouldn't usually expect there to be science to support. The way it's written means you can absorb information easily and each chapter shares interesting, personal stories. I had a lot of 'ah ha' moments while reading and it challenged my thinking in a positive way; it helped me look at my own experiences differently. This is a book I didn't know I needed to read and has many moments that will stay with me. An excellent book for curious minds.

This book was an engaging mix of real life accounts of PSI ability covering a range including everything from claircognizance to global consciousness. Some of the accounts involving famous individuals was a particular surprise, and the author's style of writing added to this, by revealing the names at the end of each chapter. I liked how it kept a balance by referring to scientific studies and the work of skeptics, and keeping open the possibility of ongoing debate around some of the evidence. A fascinating read whether you believe in PSI or are reading the accounts critically.

I enjoyed this book.
I don't normally read books about the mind and psychic ability...the reason I bought this book was because it is written by the wife of an old friend and he had promoted it on his facebook page so I got it on my kindle to be supportive.
I have always been fascinated and awed by the thought of being able to tune into 'other' things using something outside of your 5 physical senses.
This book gives examples of various ways people have used psi (called this throughout the book to incorporate using the mind/soul/something outside of our 5 physical senses) and then discusses the research behind that particular psi ability.
I was a bit concerned prior to starting this book that it might be filled with jargon and horrid big words that hurt my brain...my concern was unfounded, it is easy to read, relatable and understandable...perhaps the first book you might read on this topic and then get into heavier more research laden books if that is your bent.
I now have a name for my psi experience, when I was sitting in my bath, holding my non breathing newborn with my husband and other children looking on, clairaudience (clear hearing).

This is a wonderful overview of psi (psychic) moments as experienced by a wide range of people, from everyday folk to famous historical figures. The stories are told with skill and suspense, I would have loved more of them! This is an enjoyable and well-researched book that will whet a reader's appetite to further explore this fascinating subject matter.
