The seventh installment of The Adventures of Larson and Garrett. The evil artifact has been delivered to Rolas at the libratoreum, but Larson's and Garrett's troubles are far from over. Xorinth's resident detective, Mathew, wants words with the adventurers. After a disconcerting q and a, Larson learns about his father, and Garrett learns that the Dark One may have another artifact containing the evil power of the God of Destruction. Serious trouble ensues when the libratoreum is attacked and Garrett is blamed.
Dennis has been writing for 8 years and has accomplished a great deal in a short amount of time. Apart from writing and creating some wonderful stories, he learned editing from working with Chuck Sambuchino. His creative skills are easily recognized in books like War and Glory where scifi and horror are mixed, or books like Cayneian, where fantasy and horror are mixed, but he also portrays a great many psychological and philosophical issues throughout his writing. Producers can check his list of titles at his Kirkus proconnect page.
Trouble seems to show up right away in this tale. After a detective working for the Xorinth guard reveals some secrets about the disappearence of Larson's dad, they all discuss the magical trinket's properties. It sounds as though it was made by the original God of Destruction Golguhar, but now a demon wants to become the new God of Destruction, a demon called Lagos, and it turns out that there are numerous Lagos artifacts like the trinket taken from the goblin, and evil forces are trying to get all the trinkets, but the detective enlists Larson, Garrett, and some old friends, Lyalla, Fortha and Seanessy.
Unfortunately, more trouble brews before the crew even gets started investigating the Lagos artifacts. This is truly a wild tale and probably the best Larson and Garrett adventure yet. Highly recommend people start reading this series. It's free anyway, or at least it was free when I got it.
