The Need Boxset

Rate this book
Need - Book 1
Teenage hormones rage, turning their friendship into something neither can handle. The attraction is carnal, all-consuming, and it seems like it’s only a matter of time before Brayden loses control.
Everything slams to a halt when their single parents decide to get remarried . . . to each other. Bad decisions and broken friendships make living across the hall from the one person you want above all difficult.
Brayden tries to stay away, to forget her, but it’s an impossible task he fails at time and time again. Kira is morphing from a sexy teenager to an irresistible woman, one that knows what she wants and seems hell-bent on getting it.
Is it possible to ever be happy without the one person you need?

Take – Book 2
Love is only a battlefield when you have a fighting chance.
There’s a million reasons why she shouldn’t care for him anymore . . . but she does.
Brayden senses this, and he’s laid siege on her life, haunting her in every possible sense—reminding her of what they once shared.
But he’s still the man that wrecked her.
The man she loves.
The man she utterly despises.
He’s still her step brother.
Even if she can forgive him, is it possible for them to have a future together while still being step-siblings?

Includes first teaser of Own, Need pt 3!

Enjoyable read. Glad i read it (finally)! Its been in my TBR for many months

I could not go with 5 stars however due to a few things that drive me crazy! (Not enough crazy that I didn't overall like the series however). The timeline. It gets messed up a couple of times, in fact the entire 2nd book should have been 2014? Am I right?? The whole stepbrother thing should have never been such a huge issue! It was blown easy out of proportion. I get that it is a major driver to the story but..... Geez...it just kept going. I wish Brayton was not such a man whore. It made me mad. Why can't he deny himself??? He has major anger issues. The drama just kept going and going. They both need counseling and anger management classes lol.

It was however well written with only a few typos etc. I liked the string relationship between B and R. The story is solid, but like I said most of the difficulties are due to too much immaturity and the angst goes on too long! But look at me buying book 3 because I really did get into the characters and just HAVE to find out how this HOT MESS works out...overall a good, not great read but I have LOVED other books by K.I. Lynn. Check out Six....hmm mmm.

She's a fucking doormat. Pathetic little fucker. Literally had no sense of worth or self-respect at all.

He's undecisive and annoying as hell. Little piece of shit. What with the "if I can't have you, no one can" bullshit but he's allowed to sleep and touch other girls.

This book aggravates me so much. Everytime they were about to have sex, someone would cock-block them. It's either that, or he'd change his mind mid fooling around cause' he doesn't want to "ruin" their "friendship". Just stfu, he pissed me off so much. Like why started it in the first place? It's frustrating as fuck to say the least. He kept leading her on and she kept letting him. The most dumbest MC ever.

Should’ve taken the blurb at its word. The angst & teenage drama was quite a lot for my taste

Emotional immaturity that's off the scales .....

Ok, at 1st I was all there w/Kira ,Brayden for the 1/2 of the book was the classic selfish D bag man whore, who couldn't seem to make a good unselfish decision w/regards to Kira or sex or just plain common sense to save his poor sorry life.... He'd sadly but quite happily admit he'd F any girl that crossed his path like he needed sex like most of us need breathing, air, food or water, but he broke her her heart ( well and truly broke it,that 1st time) told her he wanted her to be his, then their sorry parents said what they did, then he has to destroy it all by jumping into bed w/the skank he lost his virginity to? Aaaaaaaaa,No, I was there hurting and almost crying w/her... Wanting to pound Bray for running hot and cold worse and more often than a freezer/microwave combo.... Finally, though a lil over 1/2 way through the book Bray FINALLY!!! FINALLY!!! Finally gets a damn clue, stoping all the whoring and tries to be a better guy per say,and at 1st I was all w/Kira he didn't deserve her to just fall over him,I was like Hell Yeah Girl!! Make him work for it!!! But that's not what happened, Nooooo not our not bitter and entrenched Kira,Noooo... Kira slowly becomes a shrew almost, complete w/bitter Hate ducks( Amazon sensors ya know) wanting to use him, like she feels she deserves and while I'll happily agree Bray was a HUGE d bag for a long while,he was also an immature teenager and wasn't telling her he loved her and having sex w/her while he pulled what he did, does that make it ok? No,but it makes the BS Kira pulls on him worse... After a while like Sheldon having to listen to Leonard whine about Penny, I lose any and all sympathy for them both... After I felt like yelling "Get over it girl!!" "Either take him back and make him prove he can be trusted". Or "Get over him and move on!" By the end this wasn't about two steps ( O please stop w/the step stories where ppl act like two ppl whose parents married when the MC's are in their late teens /20's is the same as incest or 1st/2nd cousins getting together) it was about to sad emotionally stunted ppl who can't/won't walk alway from each other and seem set on hurting each other instead... Almost 80% of this story was either drawn out overly dramatic angst or sex, that's basically it... Bray screwed up and over the 1st part of the book but Kira seemed more than happy take his place the 2nd 1/2.... By the end I couldn't stand either of them, but Kira even more soo ... Bray made his mistakes but Kira's over self righteous need to keep holding on to her past pain and using it as an excuse to hurt him over over while she made choices that inky made her a hypocrite was just pathetic and painful to read..
No,I don't recommend this to read, you want overblown teenage angst and drama ? Go find reruns of "Dawson's Creek".... What hurts most is Ms.Lynn is an amazing writer and is one of the Queens of the Angry Hate F type drama ,like her series "Breach", that was Wow! Just Wow, I'd never really tried what I now call "Angry" romance.. You know where the chemistry is off the charts seem to stay as angry w/each other as anything else, and when they come together it's almost always explosive...
But this, this was too deeply emotionally immature children playing at being adults at times, who didn't seem to want to grow up and get a damn clue ;(

Wow, this series really has me on edge. I absolutely love these types of books Taboo, where you fall for your sibling or step sibling and you know it's not right, but deep down inside it's really not wrong because you're not really related. It's technically not your fault that your parents decided to fall in love and get married and put the teens in a predicament where they feel like they can't be together because it looks wrong.

Brayden and Kira have always had an attraction towards each other, even as they were growing up and barely becoming teenagers but Brayden was 3 years older than Kira so he knew that he couldn't touch her. Once they found out that their parents were getting married, they pretty much figured they were screwed. Still, that didn't stop Kira from wanting to be with Brayden (screw what the world thought) but Brayden knew that loving her was wrong and he became the biggest manwhore around and would use girls just to get his fix and try to forget Kira. Kira was beyond hurt from what Brayden has been doing and she finds herself unable to forgive him for his behavior.

As time passes and Kira has now turned 18 and Brayden is 21, he says f*ck it to what the world and family think, he wants Kira and he's going to get her one way or another. He knows he has a LOT of groveling to do, but it's all worth it since he knows she's the only girl for him. He has refrained from touching any other female. But Kira does the unspeakable and finds a way to hurt Brayden back when she turned 18 and boy did she get him right where it hurts!

It's a complete cat and mouse game between these two, but one that is far beyond interesting. I absolutely enjoy these stories because one way or another these poor souls always find a way to say "screw it" to the world and just care about each other and make each other happy.

Can Kira and Brayden move on from the past and forgive each other from the hurt and betrayal, aside from what the world thinks?

I guess we'll have to find out in Own and damn this series is freaking addicting!!

Total 5 Outstanding stars for this magnificent series!!

Need and Take is about when Brayden and Kira were kids. Kira's brother Ryan is best friends with Brayden she's young but one tough girl. Brayden has feeling for her but turns them off since Kira is so young. Brayden eventually breaks Kira's heart and there family's have a shocker to there relationship. Brayden has loved Kira since he met her but now wants Kira to forgive him but will Kira ever be able to? Lots of back and forth drama in these books, that I felt is there ever gonna be any happiness or normal? Brayden I felt was selfish and only thought about himself mostly and then Kira I felt awful for her I don't know if I could ever forgive Brayden even with everything that happened. 4/5 stars ****Reviewed for Sweet & Spicy Read provided for a voluntarily Advanced Reader Copy of this book ****
