Well, I guess that's it for me. The second book of this author has confirmed that her writing style is not for me. I don't usually like stories told in the first person, so it's definitely a personal preference. However, sometimes a great or interesting story will elevate the narrative and I was hoping for that here. Unfortunately, a potentially interesting plot was overwhelmed by the bland storytelling. Please don't let this review discourage you from reading this book. You might really like it (and it's on KU, so it's free!).

Safety : I would say that this is safe with an exception. During the couple months' long separation, the H gets drunk, someone on the film crew tells him to take off his shirt and his drunk female co-star (who also happens to be the h's friend) does a body shot off his chest. It wasn't for the movie they were working on, but the film crew was following them around and his excuse is that he was so used to being directed that he did as he was told. The footage ends up being so hot, the film producers included it in the movie and the h is blindsided by it during the advanced screening. The MCs weren't together when the movie was being filmed, but it still felt unfaithful to me. He was still in love with the h and she with him. The h was humiliated and angered by the footage but forgave him almost immediately. He even admitted that he wouldn't be so forgiving if their positions were reversed. Other than that, they were both celibate during the separation. I feel petty being annoyed with the author for writing their separation that way, but at least he didn't sleep with anyone else.

This was a good read. Lori has been through some stuff and she is trying to move on. She meets Kaleb and he is everything that she wants. However, her past comes back and tries to mess things up. Thankfully everything works out in the end. Lori definitely deserved to be happy after everything she went through.

Lori and Kaleb's story was so sweet! Lori is a little shy at first but as soon as she becomes friends with Casey and Megan she let's a little more outgoing. Kaleb helps her in so many ways and she trust him completey. Kaleb is so understanding and such sweetheart. They make a perfect couple.

WOW is this book Spectacular! I am a huge fan of Violet Vaughn! I give 5 star reviews to books I really enjoy, 5 stars must make me laugh, smile, cry a little and feel romantic, OMG does this one deserve it. This is the book we really get to know these Two characters. I loved the romance in this storyline. There is a darker part to this one and I had to break out the Kleenex! I am in awe of how Lori over came her fears and made her life all her own! I can't believe how realistic this story felt and that's a truly great thing! The storyline is so SPECTACULAR, because there is this 'conflict' or disconnect between Lori and Kaleb that is so real and believable. It had me saying what a male move. This is so amazing, it's one of the two main qualities that had me so intrigued & captivated by this story! The other being how Kaleb handles not BEING HERO of the moment, but also how they broke up to make up too! This is the second book of the Series Snow Kiss Love and WOW! I am very much enthralled with ALL of it! The love and romance that was flowing between Lori & Kaleb was very sweet, beautiful, precious and not too over-the-top. In fact I absolutely loved the romance between these two characters. This is an amazing book about love, strength, and fighting for something you never thought you could have. This storyline has a great depth to it. I am so impressed with V. Vaughn story-telling, her content and how captivating the storyline is. I'm so excited and I can't hardly wait to read the next book in the series! It's obvious to me that she has a truly fantastic amount of talent and after you read this story, I think you will agree!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm a hopeless romantic and this book gave me romance and so much more. This is a great book to add to your TBR list. I'm so excited about reading the next book in this series. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It needs to be on your must read list

If you believe in the world of romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating!

I was given an ARC of 'Lease on Love' from Violet Vaughn, in exchange for an honest review.

WOW, what can I say about this book without giving away any spoilers, it was intense, sweet, steamy, with a tad bit of angst, as well as loads of steamy scenes. It captured my interest straight away, learning everything about Lori as the book went along, it's not for the faint hearted, some memories Lori took me on where difficult to handle, but they explain her situation. Moving to Breckenridge as a new ski instructor, she finds herself with her first lot of friends & a support group she'd never had before.

I'll stop there, I feel that if I say anything more it will be ruined & you need to read this & find out everything for yourself. I LOVED everything that happened, well except for alot of momories Lori shared, but Violet made them a vital part in her story & they were pivotal for the person Lori becomes. 'Lease on Love' is book 2 in Violet's latest series "Snow Kissed Love", I would love to read the next books in the series.

Now relocated in Colorado she has traded in her skates for skis and is trying to find a new normal while living with paranoia and PTSD. When she locks eyes with an adonis across the locker room her heart speeds up and she is at first gripped by panic. It isn't long before the drop dead gorgious man proves he is nothing but a big teddy bear.

Kaleb is stunned by the natural beauty of the newest ski instructor. She's a little skittish but they quickly become good friends which slowly evolves into more. But Kaleb knows something is up with Lori's past that has her checking out everywhere they go and when he finds out what drives her to be so cautious he is ready to kill.

When Lori's past comes back to haunt her just when she thought she was finally safe will Kaleb be able to protect the love of his life?

Of course her ex coach finds her and she has to decide to either let him force her back to the way she was or stand up for herself. Lori has good friends and Kaleb to help her. Another HEA and a good story worth reading.

Highs and lows and everything in between this book will take you on a rollercoaster ride through your emotions. Wow. I really didn't want to put this book down. The growth Lori accomplishes during the course of this book is amazing. And I loved reading how Kaleb supports her through it too. I'm looking forward to reading the next book of the series!

This one didn't exactly leave me thrilled with Gretchen or Kaleb. Since the next book in the series revolves around Gretchen, I hope it changes my mind about her instead of leaving me with the impression that she's a trashy, drunken, attention seeker as this one did.

The story if filled with fun, explosive passion, emotional ups and downs, true friendships both male and female, and true love. The characters come alive with the intriguing plot, breathtaking scene descriptions, humor, and action keeping you glued to the book. The chemistry between Lori and Kaleb is strong and their devotion for each other shines like a dazzling star. Kaleb gave Lori inner strength, made her feel worthy, and in the end she is a most valiant heroine. The author does show that though terrible things do happen, there are ways to bury the demons that haunt you. I loved this story, a most gratifying read. If you treasure fantasy romance this is definitely a fantastic book for your library. I was gifted this book, and this is my completely truthful review}. In the world of fantasy romance the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations I highly recommend this book.

A wonderful second book! I was delighted I got to read Lori's story. Sweet and sexy I couldn't put it down. Lori was an figure skater who made it to the Olympics only to have tragedy strike when her coach ups the anti on thier abusive relationship. Broken mentally and hurt physically she never made it to the Olympics. 3 years late she takes up skis as an instructor in Colorado and meets Kaleb. Love at first sight. Can they weather the past when it rears its ugly head time and again in her memories? What about when's the past physically threatens them. The suspense piles up sorely until you don't even realize you have tensed up waiting for it to explode.

This is the story of figure skater Lori Langley and sexy snowboarder, Kaleb Wakefield. A fun read, enjoyed reading this a lot. We met Lori and Kaleb in Crave, the first book in the series. Lori was a great skater trying for a spot in the Olympic Team but then after a lot of drama and abuse from her former skating coach Lucas, she disappears and escapes to Colorado and becomes a children ski instructor. Lori and Kaleb start to know each other and spending time together, the chemistry is so hot! But then her past returns to haunt her and puts Kaleb in danger, so what will happen next? No Spoilers here, go buy the book!

Ms Vaughn has written another great story with this book.It will quickly grab your attention and keep you engaged throughout wanting to know what will happen next. The characters are likable and well rounded, they help each other become better and it's evident throughout the book. The scenery is vivid in deatail you feel you're in the scene with the characters. This story has a lot of emotion and Ms. Vaugn has written it in such a way that the reader feels and experiences those emotions with the characters. The book is certainly a roller coaster ride. I couldn't put the book, I needed to know what was going to happen next! I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Masterful story of life’s trials, tribulations, and the power of love!
If I were not a fan of Vaughn’s writing already, this series would definitely sway me. The storyline is like listening to an old friend talking of their life and the characters are easily that old friend. Lori has had more than her fair share of trials, an abusive relationship with her coach ruined her chances for Olympic gold but she did not let it destroy her. When she met Kaleb, the chemistry was unreal but old fears and danger get in the way. Loved sharing these characters journey, although I may have to buy stock in Kleenex by the time I finish this series! I highly recommend it, but only if you can laugh AND cry for them (never fear, it is happy ending though).

Lori is trying to start over. She wants to put the pain in the past from her abusive relationship. She loves her new job teaching the kids to ski and begins to really care for one of the other instructors. Kaleb seems like a man she can spend her future with but the past won't stay buried.

This is the second story in the series about the instructors at a ski resort and their romantic relationships. It is a sweet series featuring characters that are engaging. There is a lot of heat and heart in this story of a woman trying to reclaim her life and the happiness she deserves.

Beautiful and heartbreaking story of overcoming past tragedies and learning to live again. Lori has decided to live and enjoy her life after getting away from her abusive ex coach. He tormented her for years and has scarred her emotionally. When she meets Kaleb she really believes that she can fall in love and be happy. Lori was a figure skater who had qualified for the Olympics only to,have it taken from her when her former coach and lover takes their abusive relationship too far. Three years later Lori becomes a ski instructor in Colorado where's she meets Kaleb. It's love at first sight for both Lori and Kaleb. Can Lori stop running from the past and finally be happy?? The book has love, romance, suspense and a happy ending. Very well written with lovable and likeable characters.

Another light and enjoyable read in the Snow-Kissed series. This one had a bit more to it, the stalking angle was done very well. You could feel the fear leap off the pages, but also the courage it took to overcome that. I love how the books intertwine, and how you get to know a little more about each of the characters - even the secondary one.

The only interesting aspect of this book was the stalker part - and that didn't even take up much of the actual story. All the characters are the same, cookie cutter types. I will, however, read books 3 because I have to finish my Goodreads challenge this year.

The second book in the three book set finds a couple mentioned in the first one (Craving for Love) as the love story.

Lori becomes a ski instructor after having her Olympic dreams shattered by her abusive coach. Once an Olympic hopeful in figure skating, Lori is fleeing her past as well as the man who cost her everything.

For Kaleb and Lori both, it is lust at first sight. Kaleb is so enamored he runs into the bathroom door; for Lori, he is Adonis personified. As they get to know each other better, lust turns to love, but Lucas, her former coach, is no longer in rehab and is out to find her again.

Romance and suspense go hand in hand in this contemporary romance. Like its predecessor, it features skiing and spicy, romantic moments of early love. Of course, there are plenty of What-the-tuck moments, too.
