I was gifted with a copy by the author in exchange for a fair review.

The Return is really an old-fashioned love story, your basic love triangle, with two men wanting the same woman and she has to decide who she wants. Call it a trope, it's something that has served romance novels--and been used in pretty much every other genre--for a long time. What The Return has going for it are decently portrayed characters. The pace is fairly quick, and that's always a plus. And...the ending is fine.

However, there were some issues. One, the editing could have been better. It wasn't totally terrible, but I did notice a number of spelling and punctuation mistakes, and while I can forgive a few--Lord knows that I've made them myself--here, it was obvious. However, the character development was decent and the subject matter was enough to draw me in, so there it is.

What would have made the novel better, IMO, would have been better editing as well as a smoother flow. Some sentences seemed choppy to me, while others were fine on their own. A little less repetition would have also helped. Still, it was an enjoyable read and a good way to pass a few hours.

When was the last time a love story made everyday moments feel special and real?

The Return by Angel Scott, in this beautiful book, feelings have been portrayed in such a relatable way that the scenes seem to unfold like real life right in front of you.

This book is a gentle and comforting read.

The highlight I loved about this book is how simple moments, doubts, and affection have been shown with honesty, making the emotions feel very natural.

The storyline is built around real-life situations and emotional choices, and it has been shaped in a way that keeps curiosity alive without heavy drama. The author has shown an impressive gift for capturing vulnerability and tenderness through small details. The writing is clear, smooth, and very visual, so it becomes easy to imagine every scene.

This book is a perfect read for anyone who enjoys soft romance, real feelings, and slow, emotional connection. I found this book to be soothing, engaging, and quietly addictive, as each page invited me to keep reading.

The author’s skill in expressing emotion, building chemistry through simple words, and keeping the tone warm and genuine is truly admirable. More stories from this author will definitely be eagerly awaited.

Overall, a tender, relatable, and emotionally satisfying read.
