La Patron's Sword #2

Sword of Mercy

Rate this book
Scrambling to stay one step ahead of the Liege, Asia and Hawke discover more than they had bargained for. Hawke discovers his Alpha was also his father and that he had been given to the Liege as part of an experiment gone bad. Mercy has no place in his heart for the treachery he discovers. It takes his mate’s loving hand and cool head to keep him from destroying those La Patron entrusts him to protect. Asia isn’t big on family, but she understands the basics. Family is important, to a point. But her mate’s family delivers a bag of surprises that she isn’t prepared for. It takes Jasmine and Silas to help steer the newly mated pair through the halls of family drama and come out on top in Sword of Mercy.

I live in the southeast and enjoy reading and writing all things paranormal. Nothing is more relaxing than cracking open a new adventure in a new world.

I love paranormal tales and characters in general and shifter stories in particular. Throw in the romantic element, strong Alpha characters who bend beneath the power of love and I’m over the moon. Sighs…

I'm not usually one for shifter stories, but I have to say this one has grabbed me and won't let me go. Ms. Addae I would have you know that you have wrecked my sleep. I was up till 4AM finishing this latest installment and it did not disappoint. I look forward to your next book in the series.

This is the continuing story of Asia Hawke and Angus in Europe. Still well paced, very well crafted, filled with action and suspense. High quality writing with none of the issues you often find in the IR genre.

Another awesome book

I’ve reread all of the LaPatron books about 5x they’re just that good. Asia/Hawk are included in my favorite characters. This book brings to light the back story for Hawk as well as leads to Asia’s..I cry every time. You’ll love, love, love, this book and the series.
Con: this book does not have an Audible companion like the others, which sucks.

The second book in the trilogy we learn more about who the Liege are, how they started and how Hawke ended up with them. We also learn more about a family he didn't know he had when we meet his brother and his son both of whom have their own issues regarding him.

We also learn some more of Asia's beginnings and more importantly, who her mother was. This series can be described as a paranormal romantic suspense but the emphasis is on the suspense which I love. Maheegan, La Patron's historian, arrives on the Continent to try and fit together the pieces of the puzzle that is known as the Liege and Angus finds himself a 'pet' that will protect him with it's life. Silas and Jasmine still play a role in this series albeit from afar and the antics of their pups will make you laugh...

I absolutely love this author and her ability to give us a good storyline in a way that brings the characters to life. I sincerely hope she brings us a new paranormal suspense as I love her storytelling.

WOW...

Well I've started at the beginning of this story and I haven't been disappointed at all.. in fact I've been impressed with the way the author has brought this all together. She's brought these characters to life and made it were you feel like you know each and every one of them. You can feel the pain, the love, the anger, the discussed that they feel for the bad people and they are bad! I love the way the author has brought "family" to the for front. This story isn't over yet and I want, no need to get back and read the next part of this really good story. Great job Sydney Addae...please keep up the good work! I must throw this in though start at the beginning with the first book so you know all the characters and their part in this story.

Next chapter!!!!!!

Omg!!!! Did not know these two additions of La Patron came out. I downloaded them and read them both in a day!!!! Sydney has done it again!!! I'm glad we carried on Asia's story. I also wanted to know her background. Hawk is an awesome alpha to hers. Can't wait for the next installment. Hopefully we see an ending to those bastard Lords. What happens to Damian and his sister? What is the connection to Angus? I look forward to these questions. If you have never read a Sydney series start with Birthright and just keep going. Each story is a continuation and definitely keeps you wondering what happens next!!! ;_)

Awesome and Amazing!

This installment in La Patron's Sword series is soon thoroughly written and continues where Book 1 ended. I was grasped from the first page until the last page.

I enjoyed the unraveling of Hawke and Asia's history. Their mating and merging was beautifully explained and watching them as they discovered love and each other was breathtaking.

Well done Sydney!!

This is a review for books 1 thru 3. I give it a solid 5. This is an imaginative, awesome story with fantastic characters. I read the first 6 books of the La Patron series and couldn't put them down and I had to continue on with La Patron's Sword until there were no more books in this series to read so far! This series could continue forever and I would continue to read it. Great series and I highly recommend it.

Asia and Hawke are still looking for the story behind her roots and a way to stop the Liege Lords. As they grow in their mating they gain allies and meet more Alphas who must pick a side - stop the mutilation to the packs and learn to deal with their expanding circle. Can't wait to read the next in the LaPatron series. It is fabulous that Jasmine and Silas are still helping from across the continent.
