James Morell is a complex man. He doesn't play around or do one night stands, despite being a devastatingly handsome Hollywood heartthrob who's riding high as an action hero.
He's also the psychologically abused son of a narcissistic mother.
Sarah is his controlling mother's worst nightmare. Sassy and smart, she captivates him in a way no other woman ever has. She's also his fixer, managing his life, his fame and any problems thrown their way, including a deranged hunting aficionado, who believes she would be his perfect woman instead.
Can Sarah hold his attention while protecting him from the users, abusers and fame-chasers hanging off his coat tails? Maybe he's just too damaged.
I loved this book couldn't put it down. James Morell is a famouse movie star and Sarah was assigned to be his fixer or Executive Assistant for three months. That same night of his arrival he took her to dinner where the paparazzi where waiting outside. James quickly became really attached to Sarah's company and always wanted to be with her, but a fan of James didn't like Sarah and she started to receive threatening twitter texts. Anna is a huge fan of James so when she found out that he was going to Illinois her home town to do a movie she started planning how to get close to him. When Anna found out that James had a girlfriend she was not happy. After being in Illinois for months Sarah was not happy she was very lonely so after a huge argument she left James and went back to London. After things were not going well for James he begged Sarah to go back, but when she arrived the threatening twitts started again. After a huge scandal and the filming finished they left back home to London where James with the help of Sarah had to deal with his narcissistic mother who would always put him down no matter how successful he was.
I really enjoy D A Latham’s style of writing. It’s digestible and effortless. This was a pleasant easy read with so much packed into sentences that I felt like I’d read a whole series! Love it I wish she’d write more often
