Names: The Father, the Son and the Importance of Names in the Scriptures

Rate this book
Does God have a name and if so, is it unspeakable? Is the English name Jesus derived from the Greek really the correct name for the Hebrew Messiah?
Todd D. Bennett explores thousands of years of religious customs and traditions which have hidden, suppressed and even altered the Name of the Almighty One described within the Christian and Hebrew Scriptures. This well researched study provides ample support for the fact that the Name of the Almighty can not only be known, but that it should be declared throughout the World. You will also see that Christianity, as well as society at large, has been Hellenized to such an extent that the name of the Messiah, as well as many important individuals throughout history, have actually been changed!

Investigate all of the available evidence for yourself which caused the author to question and alter his own beliefs. This work will challenge you to question the various teachings and doctrines which have been transmitted and inherited concerning the critical issue of Names. You will be shown the errors which have been perpetrated throughout the millennia and be amazed at the truths contained in this concise yet thoroughly researched work. Prepare yourself for the adventure of a lifetime as you begin to . . . Walk in the Light!

An interesting read about what the actual names of God are according to ancient Hebrew texts. Sufficiently researched, organized and concise, it taught me a number of new things that I'm going to think about for some time to come. Some of the chapters felt unnecessary in relation to the whole scope of the argument being made, but provided somewhat interesting side reflections.

I have so far, read four of Todd Bennett's books in his "Walk in the Light" series. Each one is so enlightening and greatly enhances my love for, understanding and worship of our Creator YHWH and His Son Yahushua. Highly recommended!

Great read--makes you examine whether you will continue to use titles that have replaced the Name in English translated bibles due to traditions or whether you will explore and exalt the true name of our Heavenly Father and our Messiah.

It takes a real understanding of the importance of names in Biblical times. You will be shown many errors that are accepted as truth in our time.
