Pretty interesting little tale. Ideas kill, so murder might come in forms that differ from the conventional acts of violence. Its seed can be simply planted in the mind of the victim, and its outcome would be as certain as a gunshot at eye level.
Another interesting question raised in this little tale is that of right and wrong. Is it okay to kill a person who is deemed bad. Much like the predicament of Raskolnikov in Crime and Punishment, the untimely death of an unsympathetic character is brought to the notice of the reader with pretty much the same effect. Can one bring someone else's life to an end for the greater good? Yes? No? Maybe? Who knows?
This is a free e-book, which is very short. One might read it entirely while standing waiting at a bus stop. It's easy to read, well-written, and a tale that might be shared with other card players. It's about three guys who work together at a reactor installation. It doesn't describe what these guys do at the reactor, because it's a tale about them gambling on card games while on the job. Is there a dead man? Yes, maybe even two. Give this free book a shot!
