Of the three books in this series that I've read so far, this one was enough to round up to 3. There were some project ideas here that I hadn't seen all over the place, so that's good.
Small book with an assortment of projects. Stock up on your Mod Podge with this book - quite a few of the projects are decoupage. The series as a whole is good for new crafters but not much in-depth for serious crafty types (and yes, even pre-teens can be serious crafters; I was one). The instructions are fairly clear, but there were a few that could have benefited from some more pictures (like the Bunting). I'm also surprised that there wasn't a template for the Bunting triangle. Not a book I'd buy myself, but it's worth checking out from your library if you are looking for some easy ideas for trying something new, especially with a younger target audience.
Still, there were a few I'd want to try:
* Bunting - also probably the most complicated project in the book * Decoupage mason jar - this one would be an easy library or makerspace program too * Hanging flower ball - not for me or my home so much, but these make great program decorations, and it's one that our teen volunteers can help prep * Glitter cups - yes, I know, glitter is the bane of all crafters, the gift that keeps on giving, but I just have this picture of making it a gradient of glitter with the multiple layers of decoupaged glitter. Maybe even rainbow, if I vary the colors. A mess, but would be a fun mess!
