This book is an informational graphic novel. The book tells a story while going over safety rules for a science lab. The teacher has a guest named Max Axiom come into the science classroom to talk about safety when using science equiptment. max Axiom also brings in other specialist in the field to talk with the students to show the right procedures while in a lab and using a microscope. Do you know all the safety rules when in a science lab?
This would be a great tool for a classroom to have whenever doing a science experiment. The teacher could do a read aloud with this book and have the students have a discussion about the book too.

I read this with my son's class for guided reading. he is 9 years old. Some of the text and words in this book was a bit difficult for the group, but they appreciated the graphic format of the science lesson.
