Bats is a book that is for children 3-7 and is in the nonfiction genre. I gave this book a rating of 5/5 because this book is great for teaching children about bats. The children will learn the different types of bats as well as where they live, what they eat, and much more. A classroom activity for this book will be to have the children make their very own bat from a paper plate that they colored black, with black paper wings and googly eyes.
Bats has great photographs but it seems a bit unorganized. The information in this book is very thorough but it is not easy to find what you are looking for. I think this is a great book if you need to see photographs of various bats but it wouldn't be a good book if you were doing a report on bats since the information is hard to come by. Due to the difficulty in finding information, I only give it 2 stars.
We have boys so we love bats. This book has great photos of bats and concise information. It covers all the necessary things we need to know. Great for the elementary grades. A middle school kid could read this on their own.
A friend of mine gave me this book a couple years ago because of my love for bats. It is a very informative read and gives you lots of information on bats.
Loved the pictures! I would never want to get that close to a bat so having access to see their faces and all sort of close up details is amazing. The information is bite sized and accesible.
