Wanted: County Knights MC

Rate this book
I’M EVERYTHING SHE NEVER WANTED.
Growing up, I had a soft spot for Anna Nielsen. When her old man laid a hand on her, I did what I had to do and put an end to him. It cost me my freedom.

After I got out of jail, I decided to leave the hard life behind me. Nothing dangerous, nothing illegal, just my car shop and my sanity.

But when Anna comes crashing back into my life, she brings with her everything I’m trying to avoid. Before I know it, I’m balls deep in drugs, hitmen, and my old MC.

I didn’t ask for any of this. I certainly didn’t want it. But when I find out that Anna’s been lying to me, there’s only one thing I truly want to do:

Punish her, like only I know how.

WANTED is a full-length, standalone romance novel with steamy hot sex, NO CHEATING, strong language, a happily every after ending and NO CLIFFHANGERS. Contains dark and disturbing themes, and over the top sexiness that may be uncomfortable for some readers.

I’m not sure why the original rating for Wanted: County Knights MC was given one star. After what I’ve read, clearly that’s not the case in this four star read!

You know how in some books the guys starts out being assholes or alpha dominates, then irritatingly softening? You know, losing their assholish persona! Well badass Jackson doesn’t. He stays true to form, a possessive, over protective dominating asshole. Its his way all the time, if not he’ll snap your ass back in line.

I expect honesty. I expect straight answers when I ask a question. I expect a respectful tone at all times. I expect obedience, and I expect you not to hide anything from me.”

But trying to convince an old flame of all the reasons why she should listen or how her life is in danger is proving harder than he first thought. Anna Nielsen is all grown up. She’s not the girl he once knew. But everyone has secrets, something to hide, discovering them is likely to get them killed.

She laughed. “Safe? You’ve avoided me for seven years, but now all of a sudden you need to know I’m safe? Jackson, you haven’t been my bodyguard since we were in high school. I’m twentyfour now, I don’t need you to play that role for me anymore.”

This isn’t Wheel of Fortune or a Game of Chance. He'll have to lay it all on the line if he wants to save her. After all no one touches what’s his.

So that’s the story in a nutshell, sounds good right? My only beef is editorial. There were quite a few mistakes in spelling and wording. They weren’t frequent or often but when they happened it threw me.
Steaminess, smoking hot! 5 stars
Storyline and plot. 5 stars

This was a good read. Jackson went to prison for protecting Anna when he gets out he goes straight starts a business until she shows up in his shop and all those old feelings come back. This was a pretty good read. I didn't like Anna too much I thought she was being childish and deserved the spanking that Jackson gave her. Jackson is a hot sexy alpha male who is a killer. The sex scenes between these two were hot. This book had a few errors in it. This was my first time reading this author and I am looking forward to reading more of her work.

Not your typical MC story! The story of Jackson (aka 'Jax') and Anna (childhood friend of Jax) where two childhood friends come face-to-face after a long separation. Jax has always protected Anna and continues to do so when he suspects that she is in trouble. Of course, Anna is all grown up now and feels that she does not need or want Jax's protection...he thinks otherwise.

This was a very different story. In fact, I had to keep checking the title of the book to make sure I was reading a motorcycle club book because it was not always clear to me. There were so many characters in this book, you almost needed to keep a 'whose-who' running list. Anna was a very likeable (but did some stupid things) character who was very mysterious. Jax was dominant, dominant, dominant. He did not take guff off of any one, especially Anna. He had her number when her mouth got out of control, he did not hesitate to correct her in the most sexy of ways! Jax and Anna together were fun to read. They had a lot of edge to their relationship that I enjoyed.

This was a book that I could not put down. I was frustrated when I was interrupted and had to stop reading. I think the thing that kept my eyes glued to the story was the mystery. You had no idea who was behind the drama and why. You had no idea what the secrets were and you unraveled the puzzle just as the characters where figuring it out too. This was the beauty and genius of the writing! It was a MC book, but not really. Overall, I really enjoyed this story as it gave me something new and different in reading about my MC's.

Why Not 5 Stars?

Edit, Edit, Edit! - While I tend to overlook editing mistakes, there were so many that I noticed and it started to take away from the story and made it difficult to read at times.

I really liked the story until our lovely hero decided to spank the lead lady for withholding information and getting lippy... ok when you aren't telling the truth either and acting like a neanderthal and not is a good way... up yours and a few other choice words I won't utter here!!! I don't get off on domestic discipline... ain't no one spanking my ass just because you felt I did something wrong... Hell to the NO!!! That just turned me off to the whole book after that. I am up for Dominant guys in bed but hey don't you try that outside of the bed... I am sooooo not into that. YUK!

After that incident I really started not liking Anna. She really made some dumb decisions and after I though about it she acting like a child and needed more spanking!! She just was so weak and just waiting to be rescued but wanted to talk like she was all that. YUK! Then she sat there and rationalized why it was ok that he spanked her and she deserved it... REALLY!!! Banging my head on my iPad.

Jackson he was just a dominant jerk and not in a good way. I hate when a man just wants his woman to follow him around and do what he says... ok get out of the dark ages and get a life. He made decisions without talking to Anna and then when she made a bad one because she didn't have all the information he punished her. He would also punish her for the stuff he was doing himself. Hypocrites there is nothing I hate more in life and in stories.

I like the story line and the action. Not much MC action until the end.

MEH! if you are into all that stuff mentioned you will love it.. me not so much.

DNF gave up after a couple pages due to writing errors. Would give this another go if this was rectified.
*****1* rating given due to editorial not because of the storyline! ********

Well that's time I will never get back. Aside from the fact that the book needed serious editing, the characters were so one dimensional. I didn't, for a second, feel anything for any of them. The alpha/dominant male thing was overplayed and not believable. I really wanted to like Jackson, but he seemed obsessed with spanking her to teach her a lesson. It just wasn't believable. And Anna, was meh. I didn't root for her. I didn't care if she was with Jax or not. I didn't care one way or the other. It also might have been a better story without those awkward spanking moments. He didn't have control over atanytime. She did whatever she felt like doing. It was just meh. Nothing I'll remember.

Soul mate...Finding Happiness!

This book covers a wide a spectrum of emotions and situations. Betrayal, pain, loss, regret, sacrifice and finally love and passion. Protecting someone you love no matter the consequences and at the expense of your own happiness. Retaliation against your enemies. Relinquishing power by submission to your soul mate, but knowing you are safe and loved. Finally, having it all along with your HEA.

Different but not bad.

I have to say I liked almost everything about this book. This book was about Anna and Jackson's story. They had feelings each other as kids and one fateful day, Jackson was taken from her life. Now seven years later fate has brought them together and Jackson has made it his duty to protect and love Anna.
There was very few grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes. This wasn't a bad book to read. My only criticism is the fact that Jackson took his punishments of Anna too far in two different spots in the book. She didn't bother to tell him to stop nor did she walk away. No he didn't beat her or anything. She just seemed weak in my opinion. Other than that I recommend reading this book if you like books that have to do with the MC and strong hot men.

Oh Jackson you are a bad alpha boy after my own heart. I stumbled across Wanted in one of my foray's into Amazon and when I picked it up I couldn't put it down. There's dark parts, hot parts, a bit of action (maybe more than a bit) and a whole lot of everything in between. I enjoyed Anna and Jackson's story so much I went back into Amazon and bought 3 more of Ellen's books, which have now been added to my Kindle for reading. There are times when after reading one book from an author, I just have to have the rest. Ellen is one of those authors. She throws no punches when it comes to her characters, the world they live in and the dangers they face. Keep them coming because this reader can't wait to get her greedy mitts on more.

He has watched over her for years without her knowing

Jackson has gotten his life together, built a successful business with help from officer Belby. Then a broken old Honda shows up in his shop. In walks his old girl the one he has watched over for years, Jackson tries to ignore his feelings for her. Anna , shocked, wants to know why he hasn't tried to reconnect with her. Jackson gives her a lame excuse --wanting her to get on with her life. However she gets run down leaving the shop forcing Jackson to step in to protect her. Old emotions bubble to the surface. Can they rekindle their romance as Jackson struggles to get to the bottom of who wants to hurt Anna?

You MUST like alpha males because this book has a few. Jackson has to be in control, in & out of the bedroom. Anna pushes his limits. There's hitman, attempt murders, romance and bedroom play. Standalone, no cliffhangers or loose ends.

Needs a little proofreading and editing, but not enough to piss me off.

Redneck shades of Gray

I had a real problem reading this book. Here is a guy who basically stalked his girlfriend until he was sure she was safe. Years later he is still stalking her, beating her with belts, pinching, trying to keep her in his house forgoing school and work. Sounds so creepy.

Storyline was different. Liked the characters.

Yes, I did finish the book.

I liked the story. Jackson was always protected of Anna back in Hs. Protected her from teenagers and her abuse stepfather and stepbrother. But after protecting her from her stepbrother he ended in with the wrong crowd and jail. He didn't want her involved and stood away from her. Until they meet again.
