After the age of thirty, Martha realized that her life as a terran was not what it was cracked up to be. Knowing that there was more to life, she embarked on a journey that has tested her resolve, heart, and soul many times over. It continues to do so at this very moment.

She’s astounded that anyone takes any author bio seriously. Why would anything that’s written here be believed when authors are known to invent stuff out of thin air? Martha likes to thank the ether and her higher-self for the enlightenment and odd sense of wonderment about life, the universe, and what exactly she was thinking when she wrote that one obscure story that no one has yet to read, but her husband has heard about.

The oddity of society, particularly the book community has flabbergasted her, making her curious about how a em-dash or ellipses can make people think that AI had any hand in aiding an author to write. She could be sharing complete truths, complete lies, or a mixture in this very bio as you continue to read this. Why are you still reading this, she asks in your ear as if she’s sitting right next to you, right now? Does anyone really care if she’s telling the truth, I mean, come on, she’s an author for God sake? Books are written to pull you from reality with fantasy, though there is much of reality in books to some extent. Where was she going with this thought? I don’t know, don’t remember, so let us continue. What were we discussing? Oh, right, Martha Sweeney’s author bio.

She would like to sum up with this single thought: believe what you want about anything, even her. Beliefs are just thoughts you keep thinking. Whether you think you’re wrong or right, you’re right either way, so why should she care what’s written in her bio because we both know you just want a story that makes you feel. That’s the purpose of books or any form of entertainment. It’s to feel something. She hopes your emotions are kicked in the ass one way or another. If you like a character, she’s content. If you hate a character, she’s content. All in all, she made you feel.

If you’re still reading this, Martha is quite impressed and is giving you an astral projected hug and hopes to meet you in person one day, or not. According to Martha, we’ve already meet if you understand entanglement.

If you are literally thinking, or saying out loud WTF?, Martha wants you to know that very same thought has entered her mind at least twenty times while dictating to me what to write. Whom am I, you ask, that’s not important. My roll is simply to write Martha’s author bio and let you know that she’s a multi-genre author, so there’s a chance you might be interested and like at least one of her currently published books. Enjoy, or not, that’s up to you.

Disclosure: I received a copy from the author/publisher, in exchange for an honest review. This does not influence my review in any shape or form. Full Review with Pictures can be found here.

Today I am reviewing Bookish: Adult Coloring Book that Martha Sweeney had created. I just recently got into adult coloring and find it so relaxing and I have yet to really find a bookish coloring book. I was fortunate enough to receive a copy of Bookish kindly provided by Martha Sweeney.

My First Impression:
When it comes to coloring books, I’m always looking for great designs. I don’t like to color your typical animals or characters. I like mandalas or shapes because I feel like I can get the most creative with those types of pages. While flipping through pages I noticed that the designs included in Bookish were a little bit of everything. You had a word search, pages for a TBR, your book boyfriends list, a little wedding invitation for that book boyfriend you just have to, and an attempt to copy one of your favorite covers. I really liked the unique set of pages and I already knew which pages I was going to start coloring first.

When it comes to coloring, I tend to use just markers, crayons and colored pencils. But since I was reviewing this coloring book, I decided to branch out and try out other coloring tools so that you way you could have a good idea of how this coloring book is with whatever tools you use.

Thoughts:
I really enjoyed the different designs that went into this coloring book. I also liked how it had a variety of bookish themes going through the book. If you color with crayons and colored pencils this works out perfectly. Since the paper isn’t thick enough I would recommend a paper or two behind the page you are coloring, that’s the only downside. The other downside was that I love to color every part of the page and some of the designs that were folded where the pages bind together made it hard to color those parts.

Overall, I loved the uniqueness of Bookish and loved several of the pages I colored. If you like coloring and like a variety of designs this is the coloring book for you.

YES!!!! This is EXACTLY the Adult Coloring Book us bookaholics have been waiting for! When I first discovered this coloring book on Instagram I was ecstatic! I HAD to have this in my life. Luckily the creator of this coloring book was looking for some people to review an ARC. I was so excited when I was chosen to receive a copy.

I love this coloring book! It is full of all kinds of goodies for book lovers. Not only does it have pages to color but there is also some fun pages to fill out for book lovers. There are quite a few in here that I want to rip out and make copies of before I color them in because they could be used multiple times. I haven't done too much coloring in this book yet because I only have colored pencils. I am waiting for my markers I ordered to come in the mail before I color the rest. I want to be able to color this in bold vivid colors because there are pages that are frame worthy that I am thinking about coloring, framing, and hanging up by my bookcase for wall art.

I received this "adult" coloring book in the mail for my honest review. This thing is amazeballs. I haven't colored since I was a kid, and I missed it more than I thought I did. The graphics are awesome. The pages aren't like thick card stock so you can actually turn the page and color without having to put a paperweight down on the other side. There is plenty of space between the graphics which is good for those that have trouble coloring in between the lines. Haha. It's perfect for any book lover! Who knew coloring as an adult would become one of my favorite pastimes? Not me! I'm in love with this thing!!

Oh the creativity in this.

Though the cover says 'Adult Coloring Book', in reality this book is for everyone who's passionate about books and art. I've colored other coloring books in the past, but this is the first time I've done a bookish theme one.

My 9 yo and I had a fun time coloring the pages. The words never fail to make us smile: Professional Bookworm, Just One More Chapter, Keep Calm and Read On, My weekend is booked.

If you relate with those, go and pick up this book. And your color pencils too :)

So when I heard about Martha's adult coloring book I was sort of hesitant. After I saw a few pages though I though I would have to check it out. I must say I have never had so much fun! I feel like a kid again coloring the different pages in the book. Yea I know this was more for the female market than a male but it is still a blast for guys too. I love the mini story that is built into each page as well.

Thank you for making this Martha, I am so happy to act like a kid again. LOL

This was the first coloring book I've been sent for review and I fell madly in love with it! This is one of the most prefect coloring books I've ever seen and I am forever grateful for Martha to have created it. Why is it perfect, you ask? Well, if the title doesn't say it all: It's because this coloring book is for book lovers. That's right, there are bookish designs from cover to cover and they are phenomenal!
When you first open it, there is a letter dedicated to the reader/artist that melted my heart from the kindness and sincerity of it. Flipping through the rest of it, I found it beautifully interactive and humorous. Some of the quotes are so true that they were hilarious. This book appeals to book lovers of every kind and I thoroughly enjoyed (am enjoying) every second with it.
There are 42 amazing designs in total and what's even better is that they're all single sided. You don't have to worry about ink showing through a design on the back which is a life saver. The entire book also makes a beautiful poem. There's a word of the poem on the back of each design and you can flip through it or read the entire thing on the back of the book. There are some complex designs as well as simple ones mixed together but every design is captivating in its own right
I've already started coloring in mine and I might just frame every single page when I have the room for it; I would love to wake up to them every day. I don't know what else to say except that I will try and make it last. The designs look so amazing without color as well that it's killing me not knowing what to do with them. I suggest you buy one for yourself so we can struggle together and because the designs are PERFECT to take pictures of for bookstagram.

I loved coloring when I was a child and recently picked it up again last year just prior to the adult coloring craze hit. I usually prefer to color leaves and flowers, but when I saw that author Martha Sweeney had created a “bookish” themed coloring book…I HAD to have a copy. I was lucky enough to receive an autographed advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I really like this book particularly because of the bookish themed designs. Plus, there are a variety of page design types to keep it interesting. It even has a word search included. I used several different coloring media throughout the book to get a good feel of what materials worked well with the paper. The Prismacolor Scholar pencils went down smoothly and vibrantly on the bright white pages. I do not have any alcohol based markers, but the Staedtler Triplus Fineliners and Faber Castell PITT pens had very little bleeding, although I still placed a blank sheet of paper behind the page I was coloring to prevent any transfer or bleed through.

My only real complaint about this book is the paper quality. It feels very thin and cheap and you can easily see the print on the next page through the page you are coloring. I was very disappointed by this! Luckily, the pages are one sided and can be cut from the book for display if you choose. Unfortunately there, are no perforations and I’m not one to cut up my books!

Recommend for any book lover and coloring book collector.

I Love Adult Coloring books and Martha Sweeney has Just made me Love them More !!!!

I have many and am so happy they have made a come back due to the Hectic, everyday stressful lives we live , because lets face it everyone needs some alone time to escape into every once in a while.

What do we usually turn to, to relieve that stress ?

Escape into a Good Book .......

I love that Martha has released the First Adult coloring book that combines our love of books with an array of Designs, Activities and Book Related Phrases to get lost within and make our own .

There is even a page to write down the names of your favorite book boyfriends and the books your going to be reading next.

I love that the cover is soo soft and there is a Hidden message and other Gems sprinkled around for us to find on our Journey to Relaxation .

I also Loved that she made The pages one sided ,so if you would like to use markers or Gel pens , You can, but make sure to use a divider just in case it bleed through .

Awesome! Finally there's a coloring book to satisfy readers of most any genre, but most especially romance. This is a fun book with quotes, illustrations, and even some activities that include listing your book boyfriend(s), favorite heroes, drawing your favorite book cover, and more. The illustrations are stylish and fun and the quotes are focused on books!
The book is 8.5 inches square and features illustrations on one side of the page only. That's great if you use markers to color (but do put a piece of paper behind to catch bleed through). The paper is thin to medium weight. If you use colored pencils you'll have no problem, and again, with markers just use that sheet behind the picture. There are 42 pages to color and that includes some of the activity pages like a word search. I love the page that reads: "I don't care if he's a fictional character. I still want to marry him." And there's room to add your name and the hero's name to a 'save the date' card, along with gorgeous flowers to color. Fun stuff!
This would be the perfect gift for a romance reader. Or better yet, buy it for yourself and in between reading books color a page or two. Stick it in your beach bag along with your books, a pack of pencils/markers, and you've got a great book date!

The Bookish: Adult Coloring Book by Martha Sweeney isn't just any coloring book. This brilliantly talented writer has brought her readers and fans a coloring book suited for all book lovers and bookworms alike. This was the most exciting and addictive coloring book, I have received. There are sayings, phrases, and cool activities inside that are particular to reading and writing. Fun, creative, and an endless amount of coloring that will keep adults coloring all hours. I got this adult coloring during the time of my college finals and this was indeed perfect in relieving the stress and anxiety that came with studying and cramming for days...I loved this. It had themes that are perfectly for me as an avid reader and as an adult. Absolutely, a must have for all other bookworms, readers, and other writers. Martha Sweeney continues to amaze me every time. I love her books and the variety of books that she creates for us readers to enjoy for a long time to come. Overall, I highly recommend her Bookish: Adult Coloring Book to readers worldwide.

When I saw that Martha was releasing a coloring book made especially for book lovers, I could not get it in my hands fast enough. So when she told me she would be sending me an ARC I was beyond excited and was literally stalking my mailman every day. When it finally made it into my hands I immediately fell in love the flower designs and bookish sayings in every page are perfect and made me want to sit and color all of them at once. Besides the awesome designs Martha also included some bookish activities like some crossword puzzles, a page where you can write down the names of all your book boyfriends and many other things. I have several coloring books and I have to say that this one is my favorite! I just love all the bookish things in it. If you are looking for a coloring book and have yet to decide on one, I highly recommend this one it's just perfect for bookworms!

So first of all it's been scientifically proven that coloring reduces stress, but to have a BOOKISH coloring book?!?? Omg! A coloring book devoted to readers! It's unreal and so fun! I have three kids and now part of our quite time is mommy coloring WITH them!

The pages aren't only great to color, the light reading is stimulating! I intend to give these and a nice set of coloring pencils or markers out as gifts, it's that perfect of a product!

It's good for trips, lunch breaks, before bed chill downs, morning wake up, outside time, beach time, it's the thing my daily routine needed that's all for me.

I highly recommend this incredible little coloring book delightfully full of interactive pages! I have all the books from this author and I swear she never lets you down. If it's a Sweeney product it's worth every penny!

I just got the order of the coloring books in from the printers for all of the bloggers and ARC orders and I have to say that it's pretty amazing! I wasn't sure how the print would come out because this was my first coloring book, but I'm very pleased.

I enjoyed making it and I hope you enjoy coloring it.

Keep an eye out, because I just might make a second one if this one is liked enough. :)
