I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This read like either a comic book or a graphic novel. There were several places in the story where the plot/story became disjointed and it was a little hard to follow. The characters were interesting and the author developed them to combat each other, where their powers sort negated their opponents. The story was thought out, but could have used a little bit more developing.
Comic book without the pictures. Overall, simple and entertaining. Couple of spellcheck muddles. Here's my favorite."Jenny continued to whale on the door but, after a few minute of berating the armed troops, Jenny gave up." Although not mentioned, I'm sure that she let the whale go back to the ocean to swim with the other wails. Hehe.
Let's use prisoners?! ..... GREAT IDEA!!! ..... We have an endless supply of rejects and fools to vet slaughtered!!! We don't want our smart, dedicated, patriotic, trained and ready Soldiers with skills to get hurt. Nooo! We will waste many millions building a secret unneeded base for under a mountain!! Then you hero of "Desert Strom" will lead these Secret Prisoners to kill really Really REALLY Bad Guys!
