All That Glisters

Rate this book
An Amazon UK #1 bestselling humorous erotic romance standalone. A spin-off to The Temptress.

Hunter Donovan. He was everything I openly loathed, but everything I secretly desired.

Cocky, arrogant, and crude. When Hunter wanted something, he pursued, relentlessly, until he got it. And right now, I was his prey. The trouble was, I didn’t want to be added to his endless list of conquests.

Gorgeous, masculine, with a body made for sin. The most perfect specimen of male I’d ever set eyes on, and he knew it. The trouble was, I saw the pain he was trying to hide, and I wanted to heal him.

He wanted my body, but I wanted his heart.

Coco Barella. She was everything I openly desired, but everything I’d convinced myself I didn’t need.

Beautiful, sexy, and sassy, all of the qualities that I wanted in my bed.

Compassionate, loving, and perfect, all of the qualities that I didn’t need in my life.

I needed to pull her to me, but at the same time I wanted to push her away.

When the sexual magnetism between two people is so hot, it can scorch everything around it to ash, who will emerge from the flames victorious?

All That Glisters is a standalone novel, a spin off to my best-selling humorous erotic romance novel, The Temptress. It features the supporting characters of Coco, Dom and Hunter. You don't need to have read The Temptress to enjoy this novel.

5 - “You were so worth the hard work…” Stars!

OMG I LOVED and I mean the full on 'hearts, flowers, chocolates, tattooing of names on important body parts, forgiving leaving up the toilet seat, not minding drinking from the carton, scratching your balls for fifteen minutes and farting under the duvet, but its ok because I Love you.' That’s how much I loved this book!

Two books read by this author in as many weeks, and two five star reviews resulting from those reads says something to me, and that is I have a bit of a ladyboner for C. J Fallowfield’s writing style, story-lines and characterisations. She is an author that quite frankly keeps you on your toes, as you literally do not know where the story path is going to take you from one chapter to the next.

"First impressions tend to last, Mr. Donovan."

The basics of the romance are there in All That Glisters, with commitment-shy, secretive alpha-male; Hunter Donovan, crossing swords, words and all-sorts of other appendages with feisty, quirky, curvy, courageous Coco Barrella from their first meeting.

"In your dreams…"

"You’d be amazed how often you are."

They are both people that as the story progresses you want to slap and hug in equal amounts, and if one thing goes wrong to cause something to pull them apart, then a hundred more do just to make sure of it, and the path to true love, is long, winding, diverse, surprising, funny emotive and totally unputdownable with this pair.

"You’d better be ready… as I’m about to make you revise your definition of a great fuck."

There is a lot of merry-go-round to this story, in that they take one step forwards in working towards being a couple, but then the proverbial spanner gets hurled into the works and we end up two of three steps back from where they originally were, also the slow burn to the big event between this two is pulled out deliciously, the author kept everything bubbling between them and in a story as jam-packed as this one there is no chance you will get bored, as there is just too much going on.

"I’m really not a casual sex kind of girl…"

"And I’m not a relationship or feelings kind of guy."

I could gush and go on about this book forever, there was just so much that happened through the course of the story. The authors imagination in regards to the locales she sets her characters up in, and the plot-twists they experience are some of the most unique and unusual I have had the pleasure of reading for quite some time, this isn’t a book that as you are reading reminds you of anything else you have read in the past.

The ending and epilogue had me happy sighing and wiping a few stray tears away from laughing as well getting a bit emotional, and the secondary characters are worth reading the book alone they were so entertaining. So if you are looking for something to read this weekend, I can 100% recommend All That Glisters, with two thumbs up –

A standing ovation

And a very uncoordinated happy dance –

Maybe some jazz hands as well, just to seal the deal!

This was not a safe read at all. Too much OW drama and an unrepentant manwhore “Hero” who bullies and manipulates a weak heroine made this one another flop.

95% of the story is Hunter pursuing Coco, OW pursuing Hunter and Coco either hating the OW, jealous of all his OW or Coco pursuing Hunter because she thinks she can prove she’s different and therefore more special than his countless OW.

I really disliked Hunter. Manwhore Hs aren’t my favorite trope but some of my favorite romances have great heroes that have been redeemed. Hunter never reached that level of change. He never regretted his choices, his lifestyle or that fact that his disgusting reputation hurt Coco not only at a very professional level but also on a deeply emotional level too since she has to deal with her insecurities rearing the head every time he pushes her away.

Also really hated that every time he got out of line, Coco somehow manages to take the blame and is always the first to apologize to him. For all the pushing away he did to her, I expected a huge grand gesture, an OTT cheesy romantic declaration of his love for her and we never get it. Instead he lies to her, stands her up for another woman, humiliates her twice to save his own skin and never once goes out of his way to make up for it.

The following lines were pretty early on in the book and I should have listened to my gut instincts when it told me to call it quits. ..

“You’re seriously propositioning me when you’ve just f*cked another woman minutes ago?”

And yes, he literally just got a bj from a woman that he's slept with, who also happens to work with both him and Coco on a daily basis. Someone Coco has to see every day for work :(

He was vulgar, and so offensive, but at the same time I want to rip his clothes off and get hot, sweaty, and naked with him.

I really hate lines like this. What kind of woman overlooks this disturbing and gross behavior and still get hot over this guy???? No respect.

Then there was the ending where the H is still making excuses for his commitment-phobia and the h is still just happy to have him in her life that she doesn’t push for anything more than he is willing to give. Because nothing says romance like an epilogue four years later where the pregnant h promises her baby daddy “no matter what happens between us in the future” she wont keep him from their kid. Are you kidding me? They’ve been together for four years and she still has doubts about the long haul? I’m usually content with a cute ending but this one was such a #RomanceFail that by the time Hunter actually proposed and Coco gets her wish and marries this moron, I just didn’t care anymore.

This is the story of Hunter Donovan, a commitment-phobe, womanizer, horny hero who meets his match after running into curvaceous, looking for happily ever after heroine that is Coco Barrella.

Coco is a jewelry designer who has been working for herself for a while, but when Mrs. Haversham sees her work, she insists Coco meet with her husband for a job. After her interview, Coco literally runs into the most gorgeous man she's ever seen. Unfortunately, she also just witnessed the secretary vowing out of the same office with smudged lipstick and his fly is open.

Even though she's attracted to him and it seems he is to her, his first impression tells her to stay far away. It isn't until after she's been offered and accepted the job and aboard a jet that she finds out the handsome stranger is her direct boss.

Coco is not the usual type of woman that Hunter is attracted to, but there's something about her that has him coming back again and again no matter how many times she turns down his advances. Turning down Hunter's advances seems to be harder than she thought, but Coco isn't a one night stand kind of girl. This turns into a push-pull relationship between the two. He pushes her away and she pulls him back in.

I love the hurt, broken hearted heroes, so it was easy to fall for Hunter, but I truly fell for him after the incident in the store. All That Glisters was the first book I've read by C.J. Fallowfield. At times I felt the story was too long and found myself skimming some parts, but overall I really enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more by this author.

"I hated that my sexual desire for him was equally weighted with my disappointment in him, and in myself for letting him get to me."

Coco is a talented and highly skilled young woman who is offered an once in a lifetime opportunity, to work for and create bespoke pieces of jewelry for the world renowned Havershams. Focusing diligently on her career and her life plan to be successful, stable and secure this is a job that has featured only in her dreams until her talent was spotted and promoted by none other than Mrs Haversham. With her designs being sought after and her talent evident she is quickly offered the position and Coco is walking on cloud nine until she witnesses something that she really wishes she hadn't. And thus begins a great tug of war between the perfectly smug yet handsome stranger and Coco who has strict expectations but a body that betrays her real desires.

Hunter Donovan is her nemesis, being the man who holds all the power he is her boss and she is expected to be at his side whilst globe trotting to secure precious gems for her pieces. Their relationship may have started with a very compromising position yet things quickly descend further as Hunter is not ashamed of his sexuality whilst Coco is in deep denial. To and fro they go, as Hunter is determined to break down her walls just long enough to get her knickers off whilst she is determined not to be another notch in his bedpost. Their first impressions of one another are comical but also justified as he ignites her inner bitch and she brings out his dirty mouth which only adds fuel to her fire and the angst she feels for being attracted to her boss. With life having taught them both very important lessons the pair of them are not willing to see beyond the pain of the past yet neither one can deny the longing and attraction they feel for another even though it's taboo as they should be strictly employer and employee. He is a playboy and she wants the complete package. Yet opposites attract and even the best laid plans can go awry. They both have buried past hurts but are they willing to reveal the secrets to one another? Can they overcome the disappointments, heart ache and disillusionment of their pasts? Can the unexpected actually be the necessary balm to heal festering wounds? Will they? Won't they? You need to read All That Glisters to find out...

This is an amazing humorous, romantic read that had me totally absorbed whilst I devoured each page as if I was starving. I loved the banter between the characters, neither one afraid to speak their minds and just tell it as it is. Their issues are common and makes it easy to connect to their relationship hang ups and dilemmas as we have all felt the burn of love home wrong. Being able to identify with the characters is a key talent present in the wonderful CJ Fallowfield's stories and she has delivered once more as I was sat laughing, crying and wanting to slap on Hunter's smug face right along with Coco. Her worries, dreams and fears made her such a layered and loveable leading lady that she has remained in my thoughts long after I have finished reading. I particularly enjoyed the scenes with her best friend Dom and can't remember the last time I laughed out loud so much whilst reading a saucy romance. This book leaves you with a feel good factor, it is emotional charged, sexually charged and totally engaging. The characters are witty and gorgeous but slightly flawed making them all the more real for it. I'm gushing as I'm prone to do after reading another fabulous story from this very talented author. She is my go to author for all things romance with a side serving of humour and wit. Bravo she has certainly delivered another 5 star read.

I just love writing a conflicted alpha male and Hunter Donovan sure fulfilled my brief. A man who doesn't want a relationship, but keeps finding himself pulled to Coco Barrella, his desire for her unprecedented. But Coco is a woman who doesn't want a one night stand or anything casual. Full of sharp banter and will they/won't they, I'm hoping fans of The Temptress are really going to enjoy this spin off, which also features the delectable and hilarious Dominic McQueen, who's back by reader demand!

Holy sexual tension! All That Glisters is the second book I have read by Ms. Fallowfield, and I enjoyed all of it!

“He was vulgar, and so offensive, but at the same time I wanted to rip his clothes off and get hot, sweaty, and naked with him. A men I’d met minutes ago, freshly fucked! What the hell was wrong with me?”

Coco has just literally run into Hunter Donovan, one of the most attractive men she has ever met. After his offensive behavior, she is so turned off, but that doesn’t stop her from thinking about him constantly.

Starting a new job at Haversham’s Jewelry is particularly exciting, until she realizes that her new boss is none other than the man whore, Hunter. The sexual tension between the two is insane! And when they finally give in to it, it is hot as hell!

“Concentrate harder,” I ordered breathlessly. “I didn’t hold out this long for a five-second fuck with no climax.”

The two have a push-pull relationship that is, at times, downright heartbreaking. It took a lot for the two of them to finally get to a safe place together, but it was well worth the tear filled journey.

I absolutely loved seeing Lulu and Luc again, as well as Dom and Calvin. Dom is hilarious, and I want a gay best friend just like him! This story had my emotions all over the place and I loved the entire ride it took me on. Make sure you are prepared to feel; to cry, to laugh, to smile, to love, and to need new panties! ~ Tiffany, 4.5 stars

Welcome to Diamond Central. Where everything sparkles, glitters, and is bathed in gold. Or is it?

I totally fell head over heels in love with Hunter and Coco. Coco has made up her mind about what she wants and what she’s willing to accept in life. Hunter doesn’t check any of those boxes. The box he does check, however, is the one marked CHEMISTRY! Hello, Mr. Hot Pants! He sets her world on FIRE!

Hunter has rules too—NO LOVE! He’s willing to give love on a one night stand basis but not on a long term or permanent basis. When the two of them collide, it’s an explosion of epic proportions.

Coco is fabulous, much like myself. She has goals and aspirations. She knows what she wants in life, and is willing to do what needs to be done to achieve those goals. What she isn’t willing to do is sacrifice her heart for someone who is going to be careless with it. Been there. Done that. It was easy for me to relate to her and that made the book even more fun to read. The witty banter, the take no prisoner’s attitude of Hunter, and the willingness of Coco to sacrifice everything for love was perfect.

This book came at just the right time for me. The connection of the words on the page and my life made it so much better. I wanted more, so much more. I already loved Lulu, so that was quite easy and then there is Dom. If he wasn’t Dom… well, I’d take him! :)

If you haven’t read this book, move it up on your To Be Read pile. I think you’ll enjoy it as much as I did. From diamonds to glitter, everything in this book shines! ~ Heather, 4 stars

Another great book by CJ Fallowfield. This story follows Coco who wants to progress in her jewellrey design career, so accepts a job in a well known famous jewellrey company. Straight away she gets propositioned by the most arrogant, cocky, sexy and most handsome man she has ever met. Little does she know, that he is the cocky arrogant man that was rude to her, is her new boss. Coco knows he is trouble and needs to stay away from him as shes not looking to hook up with anyone, she wants more. Hunter on the other hand wants her working under him in more ways than one, but he just wants to hook up and nothing more. As time passes neither can deny the chemistry, the lust and pull they have for each other. However whenever they get close Hunter pulls away, hurting Coco each time. Will thier pasts stop them from getting together, both have been hurt before, but are they both willing to lay their hearts on the line again. This is a steamy, sexy page turner full of chemistry from start to finish. I guarantee that Hunter will go to the top of your BBF list and that once you start you will not be able to put it down. You will have one huge book hangover.

I had been waiting for this book ever since I finished The Temptress, I wanted this book more than any other!! Let me tell you, it was sooo worth the wait. Oh, this book was everything I could ever want and so much more. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to scream, and most of all I swooned and loved. Hunter and Coco pulled at every heart string. I could not put this book down. I always love a story I can imagine in my head and this one was liking watching a movie in my mind. There is no secret that I love C.J. Fallowfield's books and writing but this was perfection at its best. I truly didn't think she could top The Temptress but I have been proven wrong. If I could give this more stars I would.

I received this book for an honest review.

Review:
Hot, Sizzle. This book is a spinoff of The Temptress. It has many of the same characters, but it is a stand alone book and can be read independent. I have not read The Temptress, but after reading this book, All That Glisters I am about to go one click it along with the rest of C.J. Fallowfield books. Yes, I liked it that much. All That Glisters is written from the points of view of both main characters, Coco Barella and Hunter Donovan. It is well written and easy to read. It has drama, excitement, erotic moments and may require a tissue or two. The Plot of the story has Coco getting a position at a prestigious jewelry company. Where she meets Hunter, the most beautiful man she has ever laid eyes on. Unfortunately, he is an arrogant jerk who propositions her as she is leaving her interview. To make matters worse, his fly is still open from his obvious encounter with the beautiful, leggy, blond receptionist that left his office moments before. If that isn’t bad enough. He is also her new boss. The chemistry between these two is amazing. Your reading device my short out from all that heat. This story keeps building with many exciting moments. There are also some aggravating moments where you just might want to slap someone. This book has a beautiful ending worth waiting for. All of the characters in this book are so likable. If this is an example of what C.J. Fallowfield other books are like, I am sure to become a fan.

OMG where do I start with this book!!!

I've had the pleasure of reading one of CJ's books before but that was nothing compared to what I found within the pages of this book. This is an amazing story that I can only compare to the likes of the This Man Trilogy or the Crossfire series.

Hunter Donovan is a god amongst men, with his handsome good looks his dirty blonde hair and a dirty mouth to make a saint blush. He is a total man-whore that sleeps with women only once or twice and then moves onto his next conquest which he is never in short supply of with women practically throwing themselves at his feet and so he has slept with most of the female staff mainly skinny blondes who work for Havershams the company he is a director of.

Coco Barella is a curvy brunette and nothing like Hunter's usual type but with her smart mouth and clip retorts she gives back at him when he propositions her for sex Hunter can't resist her and finds himself with new challenge when Coco refuses him.

The story is filled with lots of love hate moments with Hunter trying to wear Coco down to sleep with him and then when she finally gives in she starts to believe that he wants something more from her but every time she does he treats her badly and pushes her away. He is a character that you can't help but love because he is so kind and caring with plenty of charm and at times he's every girl's dream. In the looks department alone he has it all and with a bit of a bad boy reputation who could resist him but deep down you know there is a reason for him being the complete and utter idiot that he is towards Coco and you keep cheerleading him on and willing him to open up and let her in to his heart.

Coco is a great character with lots of depth and I warmed to her easily. She is a strong and stubborn woman and must have an almost iron cast will to keep Hunter at bay for so long because ladies i'd have given in to him on day one of his pursuit! She also has a deep and caring side to put up with Hunter and his bad behaviour and for not giving up on him for such a long time because she knows that someone must have hurt him badly to make him the way he is.

The story is very emotionally charged throughout and you can't help being drawn into it, I laughed, I screamed out loud and I cried as I read it and it takes a lot to make me do all that from a book. The writing is flawless and I had a hard time putting this book down because it was so late at night and had to wait to finish it the next morning.

This book deserves every one of it's 5 stars and more.

Coco Barella had been her own boss ever since leaving college, doing what she loved most, designing her own jewellery range. But when an opportunity arises for her to showcase her amazing talent to a wider market by working for Havershams Jewellers... the world’s finest, it’s the chance of a lifetime she cannot overlook.

Hunter Donovan is every woman’s fantasy, but after only a brief encounter with him following her first ever interview, Coco soon discovers despite his good looks, he’s everything she despises in a man when it comes to his arrogance, cockiness, crudeness and his inappropriate advances, and vows to avoid. Though he’s weighed heavily in her thoughts, it’s a promise she manages to fulfil until stepping onto the company’s private jet for her first project in New York, and comes face to face with her new boss who will be accompanying her on the trip.

All That Glisters is another fantastic novel by C.J. Fallowfield, excelling once again on every level. I was lured by the eye catching cover. With only a few paragraphs read, she had me completely hooked. The storyline is riveting. The characters, I adored. I loved the whole interactions with each and everyone. The banter, chemistry and sexual tension shared between the two leading characters... Coco & Hunter was palpable; you feel the heat simmering between the pages.

The whole concept of the book from beginning to end enthrals and holds you captive, enticing you to devour the pages until the very last page. It’s written with humour, wit, sexiness, romance and a touch of mystery, all elements complementing the plot perfectly to create a wonderful story.

Overall, I loved everything about, All That Glisters. Absolutely well worth 5*****

C.J Fallowfield triumphs again in her latest installment of love, lust, laughs and passion.

This time we get to meet and fall in love with beautiful Coco Barrella and the gorgeous Hunter Donavon.

Coco Barrella always felt like she wasn’t living up to her own expectations in life, having such successful friends she feels she’s lagging behind, although successful in her own right designing bespoke jewellery from her bedroom. All is to take a turn when she’s invited to an interview for the famous and world renowned Havershams jeweller’s.
She crosses paths with the most handsome (down right sexy beast) of a man she’s ever seen.

Enter Hunter Donavon (knicker ripper to me) one of your soon to be hottest BBFs. Hunter is already established and very successful not only in the jewellery department but the trouser dept too. No woman can resist or quite frankly would even try to resist his "jewels", though has he met his match with Coco?

We follow the couple's tense 'back and forth' professional relationship as Hunter stalks his pray with thigh clenching sexual tension at every turn. Add in some dangerous and nail biting drama, hilarious one liners and the hot...hot scenes Iv come to expect from C.J, this book lived up to all of my expectations.
funny, sexy, dramatic and massive must read!

First of all, how beaut is this cover?! I couldn't wait to get stuck into this, though I haven't read The Temptress which I know this book is a spin off from, I am now dying to read it!

I love Coco, I managed to familiarise really well with her as I suffer from the same illness she does (PCOS) so I could empathise. Her best friends Lulu & Dom are great too - I absolutely adore Dom, he is hilariously funny!

Aside from Coco, the other main character here is Hunter - a bit (lot) of a sex obsessed womaniser, everybody wonders if Coco can be the one to tame him. Their relationship is rocky to say the least; I went on a real rollercoaster of emotions! One minute I was hopeful, the next I was sad, the next I was shouting at my kindle - I managed to get really mad with Hunter but my oh my, you just CANNOT hate him, in fact much the opposite!

Throughout the story though we manage to find out why he is the way he is, and you can't help but feel sorry for him. There are a few gasp moments thrown in there too and I constantly wanted to carry on reading (when I was able to!). I did finish the book with tears - but I'm not telling if they were happy or sad ;)

The story in general is one of love, hope, learning to trust again and never giving up on each other. Once again CJ has managed to write a brilliant 5* story. A must read!

A new standalone book by my favourite author, CJ. Although a standalone it does help that I'd read the Temptress to give more flavour to the supporting characters. This book follows one troubled soul in Hunter and that's his nature to a tee. Hurt by 2 influential women in his past he is not letting anyone close until Coco starts working at Havershams. It must have been love because she has the patience of a saint with Hunter. This book centres around their on / off relationship. At times I wanted to get in the book and slap Hunter really hard due to his character and the way he acted. Coco was endearing and her pseudo brother Dom had me laughing all the way through the book. It's a great read but expect the mixed emotions you always get with CJs books. It was also refreshing to read about a voluptuous woman rather than a stick thin model. Well done CJ another great read and easy flowing storyline. I was given this book as an Arc and this was my honest review.

My first ever read of CJ's was The Temptress. It was a fantastic read... I fell in love with her writing and the multi dimensional characters she created.
It was brilliant to find the characters in here !
Coco wants the fairy tale. She has kissed enough frogs in her time, to know exactly what she is looking for in a relationship and is now of an age to not settle for anything less.
So why the hell is she so attracted to her new boss, Hunter? He is everything she wants, but he doesn't fit her remit.
Hunter is every woman's dream, except if you're looking for more... he's been there and done that ! One night stands and uncomplicated hook ups are all he needs in his bid to steer away from commitment.
Then he meets, Coco !
As always fantastic banter and some very hot moments.
Absolutely loved it !!!!!

I didn`t think C.J.Fallowfield could top any of her existing books but it appears i`m wrong. This amazing story will suck you in, it will play with your emotions like you wouldn`t believe. I loved it from start to finish, the humor as well as the erotic scenes will have you laughing in one chapter and gasping in the next. The main characters Coco and Hunter were from different worlds but with the love and help from friends and family they learned how to cope with there pasts. This book will literally knock you on your ass when you least expect it. You have to admire this author for her sense of fun and laughter and the way she can tell a hot steamy sexy story and fill it with such honest to goodness humor. I was given this ARC to read for an honest and unbiased review.

What another fab book by this author. Its the story of Hunter Donovan and Coco Barella. Hunter being the handsome hunky man whore with a body to die for finds himself attracted to Coco who has just joined the company Havershams that he works for. It turns out that he is Coco's new boss. Coco is a talented jewellery designer who has accomplished a name for herself in this field. Hunter is adamant in pursuing Coco to get in to her panties and she is having none of this. The banter and sexual tension builds between them bringing about many emotions and you cannot help but want more. They both have issues from their past so will they get together or not !!!!!!!! I was given this ARC for an honest review.

As always CJ Fallowfield didn't fail to deliver.. another 5* read, characters we've already met on the sidelines in The Temptress but truly fall in love with in All that Glisters.. the story follows Coco as she starts her new job at Havershams as the head jewellery designer.. where she meets the obnoxious Hunter Donovan... but wow is he hot.. even with his dirty mouth he gets right under Coco’s skin ! This book made me laugh, cry and made me a lot hot under the collar ! The humour that CJ manages to bring in when least expected really has me laughing out loud at times much to the amusement of those around me! Brilliantly written from start to end!!

OMG. LOVED IT!!!!!
Coca wants love not just some conquest and that's exactly what Hunter would be, she loathes him but is drawn to him and especially with him being a work collegue it's a no go zone but with a chemistry as hot it's going to hard.

Hunter is sexy and knows it. He doesn't do relationship and hook ups are usually a one time thing but Coco is somthing different he wants her and he always gets what he wants but the problem is he wants more than a couple of nights but can he prove himself? opposites attract but it can be a good thing. I truly loved these characters and as always C.J. does an awesome job. Truly honored to be apart of this.

This is my first CJ Fallowfield book and she is now on my favourite author list.

I loved this book and all the characters. The fact that we got to know them before they jumped into bed was refreshing. I really didn't want this story to end and dragged it out. I was very sorry to say goodbye to Coco, Hunter, Lulu and Dom.

Absolutely loved it.

All That Glisters by C.J.Fallowfield

I really enjoy C.J. Fallowfield's writing style, her sense of humour is hilarious and her characters never fail to make me laugh, as well as that she writes a captivating story. So I knew that before even diving in, I was going to love All that Glisters.

Coco Barella is a creative and extremely talented jewellery designer, after a couple of years of self-employment she is offered a job at an upmarket jewellers where she will be working under and closely with the deliciously hot, but extremely big-headed Hunter Donovan. From their first encounter she is immediately attracted to him, but knows he is trouble and so has no intention of sleeping with him, Hunter however has other ideas.

One of my most favourite type of book boyfriends are those that start out as the cocky guy who is so annoyingly arrogant that most readers just want to straight up slap him in the face, until they find out there is a whole other side to him that makes stomachs flutter and hearts melt; Hunter Donovan is the perfect example of this. As much as Hunter tried to deny it, beneath his conceited and extremely hot exterior, there was a sweet and caring guy just trying to protect himself from heartbreak. Coco saw this side of him and along with the chemistry that sizzled between them from their very first meeting, it only further fuelled her attraction towards him, however there was still the matter of his rather egotistical facade that had her wanting to run far, far away in the opposite direction. Though with Hunter being her boss, there is no chance of that happening and with the more time they spend together Coco soon finds her reasons for not wanting to sleep with him becoming outweighed by her desire for him.

The back and forth between them was thoroughly enthralling with moments of comedy, drama and feeling. There were some unexpected moments too that only further added to their relationship and the story. Each of the characters and surrounds, were well defined, which made it easy to follow and to picture the scenes that played out between them. Not only was it enjoyable to read about Coco and Hunter's journey, but I loved seeing parts of the personalities of their co-workers, friends and family as well; even just some of their acquaintances that made a very short appearance in their lives.

I loved that jackhammer Marc featured again (also mentioned in Until We Collide written by C.J. under Charlotte Fallowfield) and kind of really hope he gets his own book, where some one will let him on the fact that lady parts are a little more fragile than concrete slabs. Another character I recognised as well was Dom, a hilarious and loveable guy, plus totally awesome best friend, he had me constantly laughing out loud, and wanting to tear up a little over how great he was at caring for Coco. Other characters that had a real impact were Benny, plus Coco's papa and Nonna, with their kind big hearts and great advice it was hard not to love them.

C.J is truly gifted in creating characters and stories that make readers feel all kinds of emotion, I really loved Coco and Hunter's story and if you enjoy a good hate to love story then you will too.

5 ~All That Glisters Is Not Gold~ Stars

Every time I crack open a new book by CJ Fallowfield I get nervous. Always wondering how it will compare to her previous works. Always in awe as it surpasses it's predecessors. Craving the smut-tastic read that I know lies ahead. Like a fine wine, Fallowfield's writing somehow gets more impressive with each new book. It simply blows me away, sip after sip, bottle after bottle, book after book. All That Glisters is certainly the top shelf, holy grail of CJ's wine books to date. I crave her literary crack and should probably seek out rehab or some sort of detox, but shit...I'm not a quitter!! #Fallowfieldian4Life

For Hunter Donovon and Coco Barrella, the attraction and chemistry between them is undeniable. Never destined to work, being polar opposites when it comes to their outlook on relationships. These two!! OMG! They had me continuously in knots throughout this story! The push and pull. And that sloooooow burrrrrrn!! OMGOMGOMG! At times I had to talk myself off the proverbial bookshelf ledge!! From wanted to pull my hair out at times in frustration, to shouting at my e-reader and wanting to punch fictional characters in the gonads.

AAAAAAHHH!!!
THIS BOOK!!!!
I seriously freaking LOVED every tap of the page!

In my opinion it's Fallowfield's best works of prose yet! Gaaaah! I'm so excited about what other book ideas are floating around in that head of hers. I can hardly contain myself right now with all the possibilities of future smut-tacular reads.

This story line has it all!!
Smut that is posh and decadent. IKR!?
A glimpse into the life of the British Elite.
A conflicted alpha male.
Enough baggage to drown your angst loving addiction.
Sharp and witty Banter.
ALL. THE. FEELS... with a lil grope here and a lil rub there, here a grope, there a rub, now comes the O. oooo000OOO!
*wink*

I am a huge Fallowfield fan, and I have to say, I think All That Glisters is her best work since my absolute favourite, her first series, The Austin Series. It's been a long time since I've stayed up most of the night reading, not able to put a book down, but I just had to find out what happened next with Coco and Hunter. The build-up and sexual tension in All That Glisters is fantastic - obviously we know that a couple with this insane chemistry are eventually going to hook up, but it was a very enjoyable ride getting to that point. There were moments were that tension just seemed to shimmer off the page, so awesome! I loved that Coco held her ground and didn't just give in to her body's desires - too often, female protagonists seem weak and unable to stand up for themselves, even though they know they're going to get hurt or used. Coco was tempted, that's for sure, but she also knew what she wanted, and a one-night stand was not it. Hunter is your ultimate alpha male - he has his complicated past that's made him closed-off to a real relationship, but even he could recognize that there was something more between him and Coco. And until he was willing to give into that, he fought it as hard as he could in true alpha-male fashion - lots of insanely hot sex interspersed with infuriating behaviour! It's not smooth sailing once these two finally give into their attraction, but they do eventually get their happy ever after, and it's so worth it! As in all of Fallowfield's books, the dialogue and banter make for a very enjoyable and entertaining read. Her characters are authentic and relatable, and you just can't help but want them to be happy. This standalone book is a perfect example of Fallowfield's talent - if you've never read any of her books, this is a great one to start with. And I guarantee you'll be downloading the rest of her library in no time!

I was so excited about All that Glisters from CJ Fallowfield after falling head over heels with her beautiful cover for this beautiful book. And it seriously didn't disappoint. The story of Coco landing her dream job and coming face to face with her new boss...a man so arrogant and self assured that she can't help but hate the sexual chemistry going on between them...

Excerpt:
This was going to be torture, working with a man I both despised and listed after in equal measures.

But with Hunters lack of commitment and Cocos need for more than just casual sex, they seem to be at loggerheads...but with the endless trips away and working together the heat just keeps rising!

Hunter is a swoon worthy man...who we briefly want to slap but for the majority of this book is a incredibly kind hearted man behind his macho guy exterior. Coco is the one to bring down his walls and a life altering event makes both of them realise it...

Excerpt:
It was only going to be a matter of time before she pulled the pin on the grenade that sat in my chest, right where my heart used to be, and ripped me apart from the inside out. That's what women did, they weren't to be trusted...

The laughter I poured into this read was endless and the witty banter between the two lead characters was beyond entertaining. An amazing read returning to characters and places we have been to before with CJ Fallowfield. I love how this author has a flawless link to all her stories that I never tire of. Already looking forward to grabbing what this amazing has to offer next!

Reviewed on Behalf of Give Me Books

(4.5 stars)

ARC copy given by author for an honest review***

It is not secret that I have been a fan of CJ Fallowfield's writing since I turned the first page in New Leaves No Strings. Her writing always takes you on an adventure that will allow your entire spectrum of emotions to make a debut! All That Glisters is no exception. Hunter and CoCo meet while CoCo is on a job interview at one of London's premier jewelers. To say that their first encounter left a lot to be desired on CoCo's part is an understatement. The drama that unfolds as these two individual lives collide will have you laughing, crying, and down right angry at times.

Hunter Donovan has the body of a god, the looks of a movie star and a supersized ego(You will want to hug him one minute and slap him the next). But under all of this is a man who has been broken by some bad life experiences and has sworn off love. Will CoCo Barella be the one to break through all the layers of this very complicated man and reach his heart? Or does he still even have one? Sparks will definitely fly!

Add to the mix an overprotected gay best friend Dom (who is hilarious) who will do anything to protect his friend and his sister LuLu who has the means to find out anything she needs to know and you have a entertaining read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!!

5+ STARS!
This is the first book I’ve read from this author and it won’t be the last (I’ve already downloaded her others).
I LOVED THIS BOOK! I laughed… I cried… I yelled at Hunter… I yelled at Coco… and I just really adored this book and these characters. This book gave you the happy in the pit of your stomach feelings and it gave you that wounded, raw feeling as well. It made you feel all the feelings these characters experienced. I didn’t want to put the book down. I couldn’t get enough of the characters. And not just the main characters, I loved and adored the side characters as well. Even though this can be read as a standalone (which I did!), the side characters are from other books and I can’t wait to go back to read them! Dom and Lulu just made my day! Dom had me laughing! Everyone needs best friends like these two. I was giggling so hard at one point, my husband looked at me like I was crazy.
It was refreshing to read this book. I haven’t read a book in some time that held my attention like this book did. The writing was spot on. The character development was great. I was sad when I got to the end. I wanted more of Hunter and Coco, I wanted more of their world. I would recommend this book to everyone.
