This book has poor timing. It's the official certification guide for a test that's been around for a number of years, but the book only came out this year. The certification exam is based on version 7.0 for the WLC code, but versions 7.1 thru 7.6 have come and gone, and 8.0 is now available. It also covers WCS, which has been passed by in favor of Cisco Prime Infrastructure.

To its credit, this book does discuss these things, and it's still going to be useful going forward, but at some point, and I would think it's going to be soon, Cisco is going to update their exam to more current code versions, and this book will be outdated quickly. Which is a shame, because it's a pretty good book.

A little outdated but from what I can tell, still very relevant. I'll know just how relevant when I take my certification exam.
