**Warning!** This isn’t your average romance story. Some of the content may touch your heart and tug at your emotions really hard as you may have experienced things in this nature in your life or something similar. You’ve been warned!
Best selling Author of Romance, Romance Suspense, and Romantic Comedy, Vicki Green lives in Kansas with her husband and two boys as well as their three dogs that rule their house. She loves spending time with her family and furbabies.
Oh my god, I respect this heroine! Hurrah because it was long overdue after reading a string of books featuring insecure virginal women who work shabby jobs they quit the instant they meet a man and move in with him 0.25 seconds later.
She's a nurse. She's gorgeous. In a massive dry spell. Loves sex, not so much the general dating that goes hand in hand. Her co workers force her on an outing where she sees a fellow doctor who engineered the whole thing because he's into her. Gorgeous guy. Well endowed. A generous lover. Like legit, it's a semi detailed scene where he's like totally enraptured and is desperate to go down on her, and makes her come hard twice. And I know this is a massive "never" for most readers, including myself - bearing in mind she hasn't met the hero yet, but you don't wanna read this stuff on page. But for me it was more like a one off scenario I have NEVER witnessed in a romance book which is technically safe "from point of meeting". It just had me impressed that she's not some loser or a pining virgin, and just what the regular mill of the hero is in every other book. Like someone who has had some sexual satisfaction in her life. I feel like the women in books always have lacklustre sexual experiences with other men in the past who have small penises or are selfish or "fumble their way round a woman" so it was nice to get something fresh. I mean clearly it's not ideal, because we never want to read an OP sex scene, but I just felt kind of proud to be totally honest for the fresh outlook.
She sees the hero later that night in the hospital when she's on call. He is a patient on deaths bed, and to him she appears as an "angel". The next day, he's been moved from the hospital and it's two years later. The rest of the book was cute, a bit sappy, kind of boring for me since for large parts of it nothing was happening, and I was scrolling by waiting for some action. But sweet. And safe, if you are in the mood to excuse the scene I mentioned.
I loved how Dax was with his girl, he was so sweet, “here. You take the bag and get changed. I’ll change once you’re done.” I hand her the bag and kiss her nose, swatting her firm bottom as she walks into the locker room." I liked this book it was sweet, and emotional.
From the reviews I have read, I learnt that her father gets ill and is diagnosed with Alzheimer's & dementia. It seems a big part of the book is about how she deals with her father's disease and death.
I don't like books in which there is illness and death, so I am passing this one.
Saige plans to go home for her birthday and spend some time with her dad. But the week before she leaves she gets a call that changes her lift. News that her father is being rushed to the ER. Dax loves to help those around him, while he also has a mysterious side that he can't share. But when things change so do his life goals. Reclaimed is full of emotions. It is a romance with some suspense and there is heartache.
3,5 stars. Since I skipped a lot, it was decent read, only I didn't LOVE it. It was a bit boring sometimes when main characters were rambling about their feelings, their "what did I do" every single day... It looked like not necessary. Not safe, BUT, it was the heroine on first pages with another man- ONS with coworker. Bravo! At least we have one pleased experienced heroine! Good caring hero. Sweet man, but I don't like too much sugar, it's getting on my hips. Faithful since second time meeting each other.
3.25 stars. This was on okay read for me. This is the story of Saige and Dax. Dax works undercover and is shot. While he is being saved from his gunshot, he has a vusion of a beautiful woman, who turns out to be Saige. Saige is a nurse and Dax is her patient after his gunshot wound and he recognizes her. He finds out who she is and watches her from afar. He is convinced they are soulmates and he loves her. Two years later, Saige is called back to her hometown when her father gets ill and is diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia. She moves home, where she meets Dax, who is there working undercover. She feels a connection to him, but doesn't know or understand why. He immediately establishes himself in her life as her lover and protector. The rest of the book is her dealing with her father's disease and death and Dax supporting her and caring for her, while he finishes his undercover job.
The writing style in this book was not really my cup of tea. The entire book is a retelling instead of much action or conversation. It was kind of rambling as well with no real story arc, just a series of random happenings. There is insta-love, but it didn't bother me. The love between Dax and Saige is the ultra-cheesy, super sweet, OTT kind, but I liked it. I liked both Dax and Saige. Dax was obsessed with Saige and protective. Their romance was super sweet. Dax was so caring and did everything to take care of her, making her eat, etc. He was not growly about it either. He was pretty much perfect. There is a sex scene between Saige and a ONS in the beginning of the book that was before she met Dax and had absolutely no point, which may bother some. It wasn't to show Saige was promiscuous, because she never had one night stands. I have no idea why it was included. Anyway, overall, the writing style kept me from loving this one, but the story was interesting. This was my first read by Vicki Green and I'm not sure if I will read more.
Holy moly hotness, I want a Dax!!! This man was everything you want in a book boyfriend, heck in real life too, sorry Saige, but I am stealing him. There is so much to say about Dax, he was intriguing, mysterious, sexy, alpha, hot and he was just so sweet and romantic, (sigh) and gee he loved Saige, so damn much, you could feel it coming off the pages on how much Dax felt for Saige. Oh Saige, she has had so much heartbreak in her life and there was more too come, but what she didn't realize was she was such a strong woman, and with the support of Dax that woman survived and flourished.
I really enjoyed this story, loved every single page, actually I was captured from the very first chapter, and didn't look back. Dax had a secret, and I figured it out pretty quick, but in no way did that take away from my reading experience. When these two were together, they brought fire and sizzle to the pages, loved it. One other thing I really enjoyed was the notes Dax would leave for Saige. Also good choice Vicki on the man on the front cover, I totally bought him as Dax, and that's who was pictured in my mind when these two were burning up the pages. I am not sure whether this is the end for Dax and Saige, I hope it's not, that's all I will say. I would recommend this book to all my friends and anyone who will listen, fantastic read Ms Green. Where has Vicki Green been all my life?!?! This woman writes perfection! This book is SO emotional and engrossing that it is actually impossible to read in one sitting. I took two LOL
It's not an easy story but it is a fridiculously good story. I say not easy because it will hurt. You will cry. But you will also soar. And you will swoon. And you will hope. And MY GOD, you will love. I don't really know how to do a proper review here. This story was just REALLY GOOD. But I cannot give you details because I think it will ruin the experience for you. Every detail of Saige and Dax's journey is important in the overall story and it should be experienced as such. (Sidenote: well done on the blurb! Not a single thing was revealed which made the experience of this book that much more thrilling! #BlurbWIN)
This is a story that should be savored and you should pay attention to the details. Because everything means something and everything has an end-game ;) #TRUST
**happy sigh** this was just SO frikkin good I wish I could hash out every detail with you .....
It is no secret that I am a huge Vicki Green fan. I have read her books and have always had my favorite book of hers. That has now changed.
I am sitting here finding that writing this review is extremely difficult, not because the book wasn't good, but because it was so amazing I can't find the words to properly describe how great it actually was.
This book has so many emotions scattered throughout it. I don't want to get into too much details and give anything away so I will be pretty vague. To say I cried like a baby more than once is an understatement, but there is a major part of the story plot that I have experienced in my own life and those memories of mine came flooding back. I could truly put my feet in Saige's shoes and absolutely understand what she was going through. Saige is stubborn and strong and has a huge heart.
Dax, our lead hottie is just amazing. Sweet, kind hearted with just a touch of the bad boy persona. He has found the love of his life and as the reader, you could feel how much he loves Saige.
Now it wouldn't be a Vicki Green book if it didn't have some suspense thrown in and the suspense in this book doesn't disappoint.
This book is totally a book of relatable characters you'll just love and a story line to love as much as the characters. By far my new favorite book and a must read for sure.
Vicki Green has done it again and just when you think you've read her best story, she throws another amazing story back at you!!
Dax is a mysterious gorgeous man who was near death from injuries of a killer, when he saw a beautiful woman as his life was slipping away. That vision of the woman also appeared in true life form in the emergency room.
Saige had returned to her home town to help take care of her father who was recently diagnosed with dementia. Saige and her father had been the only family they each had left after a car accident took her mother and brother from them.
Dax had been secretly watching Saige after so long searching for the angel that saved him. Knowing Saige would be all alone to deal with her father, Dax made his move and quickly the two connected.
This story has all the emotional feels we all love in a story. Dax has a huge heart and has a lot of compassion and speaks his feelings easily. There's mystery, hot sex, passion, love and loss thrown in with chaos and a mysterious killer. Keep the tissues handy!!
This was my first book from Vicki Green and I am so glad I was able to get an ARC! The story sucked me in from page two! Smoking holy hotness on Dax! (*fans self*) He might appear to be a bad boy, but he has a heart of gold. And Saige was not push over even after all the heart ache she went through. Together they were a perfect book couple for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more of Vicki's work. (This ARC was kindly provided in return for an honest review.)
Oh My Gosh... I think Vicki out did herself this time. I've been following and reading Vicki's work from basically the beginning and I love her. I was very touched by the story line and it's something I think most people will be able to relate to. I'm not going into details as I don't want to give spoilers away but I think you will fall in love with these two. You will smile, cry, laugh, cry and love.
Spoiler free. I have read all of Vicki's books, yet this one is my absolute favorite. The story hits so close to home. It's so much more then a love story. It's a story of heartbreak and friendship. You just never know when you need other people in your lives to be there for you. One of the most well written books I've read. You have to meet Dax and Saige. Their story is absolutely incredible.

This is my first Vicki Green book.....where have I been? Reclaimed is a sweet love story, its heartbreaking, emotional and Dax is Book Boyfriend worthy! The story line flows with well written characters.
It had been a couple years since I had a chance to read a offering from this author since my tbr list is seen for miles. It was the blurb that drew me in but it is the writing talent and the characters that kept me there in it once I started this one. Drama in no short supply in this one with a bit of a odd opening but picks your interest. When Dax and Saige do finally meet up together you are scratching your head at times wondering how did that happen if it really did with Dax and what he sees. I do so like the warning from author but that only made me want to test it out in big time ways but all true it is. Have supplies handy for that reading pleasure will come in all emotions. I so wanted to peak ahead on this Dax and his business but I did not wanted the intrigue of it to last longer with also allowing the author to woe me with the answer. Hope too a pair of oven mitts included because while reading some scenes hands could get burned. Hey if you like to hang clothes out to dry forget it with this one the heat and steam alone could dry them. Saige will teach the meaning of family in action by her actions but not a easy road at all she traveled. I found this to be a dose of refreshing and even though I had only small window frame of time to finish no trouble at all so thrilling.
This was my first read from Ms. Green and I was a complete wreck with emotions reading! I am very much a daddy’s girl and boy did this one hit me right in the gut personally. The suspense around Dax and his situation just kept me wanting more and more until I finished the book and found out what he was hiding. Reading Reclaimed brought tears to my eyes, gasps for the unknown and an excitement in my heart for what I only hoped would end how I thought it would.
I can’t express how sad I am that this was only my first read from Ms. Green and it definitely won’t be my last!! This was a must read 4 star read that you won’t be able to put down until the end! I grew much attached to Saige and was extremely happy with the outcome of this book. While reading some parts of this book I had to snuggle up next to my dad as soon as I could because my heart was hurting for Saige. Dax turned out to be a completely different man that I assumed he was and I was overwhelmingly happy about that! Thank you Ms. Green for such a heartfelt read that had me on the edge of my seat at times! Review by Dayreader Amy M.
Reclaimed by Vicki Green. Reclaimed is a standalone read. Vicki Green's writing style is just flawless. This story was well written and will capture your attention from start to finish. Reclaimed will have you grabbing a box of tissues through out the whole book. Reclaimed is about a mysterious bad boy named Dax Stevens, and a broken girl named Saige Benton. Saige's world gets turned upside down when she has to return home to help her sick father who was recently diagnosed with dementia. Saige has only had her father due to a fatal car accident which took her mother and brother from her. Dax is a mysterious gorgeous man who was near death from injuries of a killer. Dax saw a beautiful woman just as he felt his life slipping away in the emergency room. The chemistry between the characters are hot and sexy, and connect effortlessly. I must warn you that within seconds you'll be fully immersed and invested in a love story that will have you swooning and crying. I loved every second of this book and would recommend to my friends who enjoy reading as much as I do.
This is the first book which I have read from this author, OMG, what is wrong with me that I missed out on such an amazing author?? Saige is a strong woman who has had so much heartache in her life. Dax, sigh, Dax, everybody needs someone like him in their lives. He is romantic, sweet, damm hot, and a tad mysterious. When reading this book you just feel the love he has for Saige pouring out of the pages. Loved, loved, and loved, this book!! Be warned it is so much more than just a love story, it has heartbreak and it is emotional. Have the tissues handy! Awesome book Vicki, you have gone straight to the top of my favourites and 1-click lists. I cannot recommend your work enough, and cannot wait to read more in the future.
I really struggled to finish this book. The storyline was unique, but I felt like the author did minimal research. The Hero was a "physical therapist", but never finished college. Physical Therapy is a doctorate program, not something that someone with just a high school diploma can do. I also felt like there was no build up to the relationship and I just wasn't feeling the chemistry between the H and h. Finally, I felt it was beyond creepy that the H called the h "Mia" because he liked the Italian language. Then, we find out his little sister's name is Mia. How weird to call your girlfriend your sister's name during sex?! Ugh...

OMG I fell in love with these characters! I believe in fate too. There is always a reason for things to happen and there was a reason for these two amazing characters to meet. Dax so handsome and mysterious and Saige a dutiful daughter who would do anything for her father. I will say this over and over this is a MUST MUST READ book! I don't know about my friends but I love falling in love with the characters and I cried with them in this book. Vicki Green (the author) thank you for writing this book you did a wonderful job!
This story will fill your heart to the brim. Saige and Dax are incredible together. They have such a phenomenal connection that will enthrall you. The storyline was amazing and I loved every minute of reading it. There is so much emotion in this story. The relationship between Saige and her father will have you in tears. They are so close and so sweet together. There is a story within the story and it helps keep you hooked in the book. This story was very heartwarming and I highly recommend it to everyone.
As always, Ms. Green has me feeling all of the emotions!! Of course, this book was amazing, it is written by Vicki Green! I have and continue to love all of her books. She writes with feeling, adds in some suspense, and keeps me reading from the first page to the last, with little chance of taking a break (not that I wanted to). This story was not an easy one to read, you will cry. Such is the way of this Author, always. However, she also makes you sigh, swoon, and fall in love.. I highly recommend this favorite of mine, and every one of her other books, as well.
This is my first time reading a book by Vicki Green and all I can say is wow! I'm so glad I did! This book made me both laugh, and then cry. And I am not a crier! Both Dax and Saige were just wonderful. While this book is considered a romantic suspense I want to warn you that the suspense doesn't happen until late in the book. But don't worry, the first 3/4 of the book grabs you by the heart and doesn't let go. You'll be thinking about this book long after you finished it. Dax is my new book boyfriend!

Dax and Saige's story has wrung every emotion from me. Ha ing a mother who had dementia, I was there emotionally with Saige thru every heartbreaking chapter. I cried till there were no more tears with her. To have the amazing man that Dax was be there for her thru everything yet knowing he felt duty bound to continue his quest, my dad was a retired police officer, so I know how dedicated they can be and what their families go through daily because of their jobs. Amazing story, very well written. Loved it.
Dax he gets shot and wakes up and has a dream of a beautiful girl that he never wants to leave. Saige is a RN who sees Dax and he says Its you.. What a beautiful story! I cried my eyes out at certain parts (not spoiling) Dax is your total dream, sexy, thoughtful, romantic man Dax I fell in love with him!! Saige such a strong woman going through so much she reminds me of myself. This story blew me away deserves way more than 5 stars I really hope there's a next book to continue the story! ❤️
I'll be honest at first I was a little iffy about where the story would go simply because he feel for her in a dream but let me just say I was wrong. It completely worked. This story has so many freaking emotions I thought I may go crazy just a little. It made me smile, it was hot, it was sweet and it was crushing. It broke my heart but it also filled my heart. I absolutely loved Dax. He is simply amazing. And the connection he and saige had was believable and wonderfully amazing. Great read.
