Stack the Legal Odds in Your Favor: Understand America's Corrupt Judicial System—Protect Yourself Now and Boost Chances of Winning Cases Later

Rate this book
This highly acclaimed legal self-help book is the hybrid product of two authors. One is a lawyer, and one is not. This unique synergistic combination resulted in an exceptional resource that contains essential information found nowhere else. Tailored for everyday Americans, the book is packed with unbiased data about the current state of the U.S. legal system: why it is the way it is, where it is headed, and, most importantly, how to beat it at its own game!

This is the only legal self-help resource that:
1) reveals secretive rules, presents an atypical paradigm, and furnishes eye-opening information
2) contains the broad insight of experts internal and external to the U.S. legal system, giving you a complete 360° view of it
3) provides special tactics that are crucial for the average person to fight a battle and win a case in the corrupt legal system

Coauthors Sara Naheedy and Tom Scott have 35+ years of combined legal experience in a variety of situations in and out of court, which they share in a practical, easy-to-read format. Learn about the wildly corrupt legal system before it strikes. In all probability, the question is not if it will strike, but when it will strike the average person with little political power or influence. This guide is ideal as a preventative aid for such people who would unwittingly fall victim to the legal system or, worst-case, indispensable as a remedial tool for someone who needs a clearer understanding of or assistance with a current legal quagmire. Be best prepared to fight a traffic ticket and other vehicular citations and to handle small claims, landlord-tenant issues, debt collection, criminal accusations, divorce, wills, probate, and much more.

**Update 5/21/21**

Well, it seems my review was not well received. This is the lovely message I got from Mr. Scott. His message in the image below will give you a clear image of the quality of his 'legal advice' in the book.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! GET REAL LEGAL ADVICE!!!

This is the equivalent of that late night infomercial purchase you make but regret because it does not do what it says it can and often causes damage.

I suffered through this book because it was given to me in exchange for an honest review. I should have known from the cover that the information inside was going to be just as beneficial as time spent at a Casino.

I had to stop and look up so much information that was misleading at best. I am not a lawyer so I reached out to friends who are attorneys and asked for clarification. I reached out to practicing attorneys, judges, professors, and those who have written legal texts.

The information they have added in the description here on Goodreads is completely false, it is not ranked as high as they say. As of May 2021, on Amazon they are ranked:

Best Sellers Rank: #1,865,384 in Books

#685 in United States Judicial Branch
#855 in Legal Self-Help
#183,077 in Self-Help (Books)

I knew our legal system was corrupt, but I would neve have imagined that it could randomly attack me.  Like almost everyone, I’ve had to contend with my share of legal issues in the past.  Fortunately, I have not (yet) been falsely accused.  If you value your life or the lives of loved ones, read this book and then share it with as many of them as you can.  I’ve seen a quote somewhere that says: “The U.S. legal system will never attack you or your family…..until it does.”  If that doesn’t sound the alarm bell with you, nothing will.

This text is explicit. The book was rich in its exposition and opened up a lot of knowledge into the legal system in America. As a student of law in Nigeria, it is clear to me that though some situations as to the corrupt nature of the legal system enabling the rich are almost same, the American system is much better than what we have here in Nigeria. I believe I could relate better with it as I am an ardent fan of American legal literature (John Grisham) notably. This a non-fiction that was explicit in its dealings. Thank you for the opportunity.

“Stack the Legal Odds in Your Favor” is a book that is chalk piled with information that the average person wouldn’t be familiar with. The justice system in America is not as just as one would hope for it to be. This book brings a sense of guidelines and understanding of what you can do to win a case. It’s important to note that the authors state that this should be a book you read before you get into trouble. It can not necessarily save you after; it is full of helpful hints and tips for a more fair trial. In my reading, I was on the fence about going to small claims court over a prior money issue. However, realizing that if my opponent has no money, there may be nothing I win from that case other than having taken them to court. Overall, this book did a good job giving you the basics; at times, the wording was repetitive, but only so they could instill the critical ideas in your head. I’d recommend everyone have this book to understand the justice system in ways the justice system doesn’t want you to.

Sara Naheedy and Tom Scott  deserve huge appreciation for writing such an amazing book on the legal system. The book is easy to understand and provides advices in a totally corrupt court system of America that favors wealthy who can buy the judgement. To be frank this happens in every country’s court. I read legal blogs, articles, in the past out of interest so I was able to understand this book. Keeping it short, that if you have interest or if you are connected with the legal system this book is no less like a bible.

As someone who does not know anything about legal systems, and how it operates, it was a revealing insight into how it operates, and how should we approach it. Although it is about American Law System, it is a rich source of information, as it has been written after a tremendous amount of research. The co Author, Sara Naheedy took things to another level. Everything has been made clear, from the cases to how the law orkers benefit from people's troubles.
I am lucky to have chosen this to read and review.
The foreword makes it clear that after reading this book, The reader will be highly educated on the matter of law and the whole system.
Tom Scott's versatile words, added a drama into it.
And above all, the authors are really supportive of their fan base.
It was a treat for someone, like me, who knew nothing about this whole system.

Very Insightful book. Most importantly, i appreciated a lot the blend of a lawyer and one who isn't and their ability to synthesize judicial activities and it's host of issues that needs to be understood if you hope to make headway in America's judicial system. Even though its skewed towards the American Judicial System, it really has a lot of lessons for the legal framework and anybody interested in legal ramifications would absolutely find this book a joy and an enlightening book to read.

The authors language and description are also absolutely clear and it makes for an easy reading. It should really be on most people's wish list to read this book because it is really well written and has the potential to assist you in a world full of laws. Would recommend the book many times and it's so good with information that you just can't put it down once you start.

Beginning with a thoughtful introduction by Dr.Ron Paul,'Stack the Legal Odds in Your Favor'by Sara Naheedy & Tom Scott delivers a very well written primer on the ins and outs of America's justice system. The book is very easy to understand and a pleasure to read.I was amazed at how thorough it is,covering every possible contingency, the book even provides useful legal templates and website addresses saving anyone much time and trouble.Although not from the U.S.A.I find much of the advice could be applicable elsewhere as well. This volume has a place in all libraries, public and private,if you have anything to lose this book is a must have. The hardcover version is beautifully finished and is even printed in the United States, kudos! My only possible complaint is that there is not yet a Canadian version.Congratulations on a magnificent effort.

In this riveting book written with as little jargon as could be understood by a lay person, Tom Scott and the Co-author exemplify the American Legal system in a compelling way. The book provides a compelling and up-to-date overview of the American legal system all the while being able to make historical references where necessary. Despite the quirks and complexities of the American legal system, this book is a compelling read!

This book is so interesting I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished it all today, to be honest I don’t live in the United States so I don’t know much about the laws, but reading this book gave me an insight into the legal situation there.
The writing style was excellent for me and I understood everything even though I am not native.
Highly recommend this !!
