When Astrid Zhao slams into Kinsey Malone’s life—also known as Kinsey’s hastily opened car door—Kinsey has no idea her life is about to get very complicated.
Astrid’s a dapper-dressing med student whose brazen confidence and sense of style awaken Kinsey’s dormant attraction to women. Despite Astrid’s own fascination with the redhead, she shies away from their connection, suspecting Kinsey’s not looking for anything more than an ego-boosting flirtation.
But after an impromptu date in Boston’s chic South End, it seems as though the spark between them could turn into something more. They’ll have to decide whether to let fears of rejection and disingenuousness hold sway, or take a chance on each other and an entanglement neither of them were seeking, but might be exactly what they were looking for.
**Please Looking for a Complication originally appeared in the For the First Time anthology in January 2016. Also, LfaC is a 10k word short story. This ebook also contains a sample chapter of Personal Geography**
Tamsen Parker is a stay-at-home mom by day, erotic romance writer by naptime. She lives with her family outside of Boston, where she tweets too much, sleeps too little and is always in the middle of a book. Aside from good food, sweet rieslings and gin cocktails, she has a fondness for monograms and subway maps. She should really start drinking coffee.

Well, you'd never guess it from the cover, but this is actually a really cute and hot f/f short story. I really like the dapper butch/sexy femme pairing with Astrid and Kinsey. Their chemistry is pretty great, and I'd love to read more about them!
Tamsen Parker has rocked me into her cocoon of good writing, fantastic story, and steamy fun! Astrid and Kinsey are the perfect read for my rainy day evening.
I could not get enough of Dapper Astrid and her cool and commanding persona. Her whole attitude slays me. Add in cutie pie Kinsey with her eager to please self. Their smashing start has me eager from the start. Throw in some hilarious commentary from the BFF, Justin, and this story is just my size.
Sweet story (but spicy) of a disastrous meet cute of Kinsey dooring Astrid. Sparks fly, but Astrid is pretty sure Kinsey is straight and has a bad history of getting her heart hurt by a straight girl who felt Astrid was only good enough for making out and flirting.
Standalone, no cliffhanger, ends on a HFN.
Contains: f/f pairing, explicit sex with a healthy sprinkle of bdsm (Gentle topping, light impact play, exhibitionism), one character navigating her sexuality
Okay! I loved this novella! It was really short (duh, novella lol) but amazing. It was cute how they both got all flustered (relatable) and I loved the conversation that you can be bi, no matter who you’ve been with in the past.
Would I read this again though? Probably not because of how forced and rushed this was. However, the spice was well written in my opinion, and the dirty talk as well. It was a quick read that wasn't really meant to be too long, mostly just about a one-night-stand between two women.
I liked the overall plot of one of the characters spilling a drink on the other and then offering to get her a new change of clothes. Though, personally, I wouldn't go up to someone's apartment for that new pair of pants, nor would I let someone come up to my apartment for a new pair of pants. That part was a little odd, but I am willing to look past that bit.
A sweet and sexy and sadly, too short love story. I liked both Kinsey and Astrid. Their chemistry was so good. The details of Boston are lovely too. Seriously - my only complaint is that the story ended too soon.
Great f/f short story. Liked the characters and the writing style; would definitely have read more of their story if it was longer (but it is a complete short story as is).
