Ever since she met Daniel, Jemma’s life has been a hot mess! Whenever she and the reality show hottie are in the same room, the temperature soars to a blistering heat wave that drives Jemma and Daniel crazy for each other. Unfortunately, Jemma and Daniel’s relationship sparks jealousy with a capital J in an angry rival blogger as well as Daniel’s skanky ex, Lexi. Now, Jemma and Daniel are plastered all over the web, newspapers and television.
When Robbie goes missing, Jemma is terrified Child Protective Services will remove her brother from her custody and he’ll be lost in the system forever. Daniel arrives to help. Lexi, hot on his heels, takes advantage of the moment and attacks Jemma in a bid for major free publicity. Jemma gives as good as she gets—she’s had enough of Lexi… and Daniel. In a scene worthy of an Oscar, she tells both of them to, er, flake off! Robbie is her one and only priority.
Daniel can’t believe Jemma is truly kicking him out of her life. Desperate, he does what he should have done months ago--he ditches the reality show with Lexi, kicks his agent to the curb and gets a legit acting job as a television host on a fantastic cooking show. But how could he have known that once he left Lexi to her own devices, she’d commit the ultimate revenge against Jemma?
This book contains some adult situations. 18+, mature audiences recommended.
New Adult Romance author. Reading was my earliest passion, often seeking the sanctuary of my room or the library to read everything I could get my hands on. I penned romantic poetry in high school and was winning school awards for my short stories at 16. In college I would hibernate in the library for days at a time, consuming every short story and novel I could find.
I probably drink too much coffee and eat too much junk food, but to compensate do like running and rollerblading outdoors when the weather is nice. I'm a hopeful romantic who prefers stories with a happy ending. You can often find me in a library or coffee shop working on my next story, or with my nose in a book.
Lexi is worse than a dog with a bone and she constantly pushes the envelope. Boy, oh boy, do I want to biff this character... repeatedly! Robbie / Pan / Hook comes to a happy conclusion and new friendships are sparked while others renewed. I enjoyed the crazy but it is definitely crazy. 😎 Still a "yep" on that narrator chick. 👌✔
I honestly have no words for how this book goes. I'm left speechless, I really felt for Jemma as all she wanted to do was spend the weekend with her brother as they've not been doing much of that recently. I loved how she called Daniel for help but honestly I wished she would have given him a chance as all he wants to do is be there for her and make her happy but due to Lexi being a royal pain it's been bringing them both down. Luckily she manages to find her brother as all he did was go out to the water slide as that's what he wanted to do.
However after deciding that things need to change for the better, Jemma tells Daniel that it's over for them and that he needs to leave her alone. Will Jemma mean this or will she take it all back as she was just hurting because of her brother running off. Plus don't you think it's about time that Jemma had some good luck in her life.
Honestly if you don't pick up this book then you are missing out on a lot, Clarissa Carlyle really knows how to write a book that has a lot of meaning and will honestly keep you entertained. So please pick up this series as it's that good.
I received this audio book in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
So, installment number 4 of the Jemma series has to do with Jemma finally understanding herself worth. It has taken four stories in order for her to realize that she does not need the world's approval to be happy. Yes, it did happen because her brother was missing but she realized that she only needs just the two of them to be happy.
Over the course of the previous books she was so wrapped up in her, Daniel, and everybody around drama and forgot what was the most important thing. I am not bashing Jemma as a mom/sister I am only trying to say that Jemma needed to understand that her and her brother are against the world.
In Jemma 1, she was writing a blog in order to take care of her brother. As the series progressed she became so consumed about her image and Daniel that she forgot what was most important. I am glad that she is back to the Jemma that I enjoyed in the first book.
Yes, there are times of her pining for Daniel and Daniel pining for Gemma and. They both wanted each other but they didn't feel as though they could express their feelings to one another. There was a lot of back-and-forth and back-and-forth situation.
I am looking forward to the to the final installment because Jemma knows that she is worthy of being put first in any relationship and Daniel now understands that he has just been a lousy person.
Jemma 4 (A Celebrity Romance) Entertainment with Jem, Book 4 By: Clarissa Carlyle Narrated by: Laurie West
This serial has me totally invested in Jemma's happiness and the outcome of her life. This episode is truly scary. Jemma takes Robbie to a waterpark, and she loses him. With child protective service investigations in her past, she is completely freaking out. Luckily, Daniel comes to her aid and things work out, but it does put life in perspective. Lexi also is up to her old shenanigans, and life for Jemma is on a downhill slide. Will she ever get a break? Will Lexi keep interfering in her life? Will she be able to forget Daniel? Stay tuned for the final episode, loading now! Laurie West keeps us on the edge with her fantastic narration! Loving her portrayal of the characters and situations, keeping the angst high!
Jemma is an entertainment blogger. It's her one and only job to support her and her little brother. She has a chance to boost her blog by interviewing realty tv star Daniel Stark. Add in Daniel's crazy ex lover, another blogger trying to sabotage her reputation and a hot rocker who is interested in Jemma. Daniel is stuck in the middle of all this chaos. What will happen to Jemma? This series was hot, steamy to listen to. I enjoyed all 5 books. Laurie West narration was very good. She is a new narrator for me. She is a pleasure to listen to. She does an amazing job portraying the characters, giving each their own voice and personality. I was gifted the audio and offered my honest review
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Clarissa does an amazing job of writing this thrilling, suspenseful, romance story. How much more can Jemma take? Lexi is out for blood. The author brings out the listeners emotions with these characters and their story. I know Lexi's day will come. When Jemma's brother goes missing, the impact pulls are your heart. The narrator is awesome. She has so much passion in her narration. Love this Series.
I really was excited to get back into the story and find out what happened to Robbie. That little boy kinda scared me. The action (erm...? drama?) just doesn't stop and you keep listening to find out how everything is going to play out and what drama people are going to try next. Laurie did another awesome job narrating.
Audiobook version. This is the 3rd book narrated by Laurie West in the 4 book series. By far the best performance by Laurie of the 3.
Better story than books 2 and 3 in this series by Clarissa Carlyle but still ended on a cliffhanger. The cliffhanger that ended book 3 with Robbie missing is resolved, but Lexy's evil continues to pursue Jemma with a new cliffhanger. JP

So Jemma puts Lexi in the corner and finally finds her brother back in her hotel room. Unfortunately she ends things with Daniel who tries to work out what his future will look like without her. And God do I hate Lexi!!
