Escape into addictive, sexy, emotional M/M romance.
A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing teens, and wondering how she and her husband of over two decades haven't driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.
She loves chocolate, hot tea, sweet wine with friends, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm.
A.D. uses she/they pronouns.

3.5 maybe

It was fine for a kind of introduction. At least I still want to read more- both for these characters and by the author. Nothing remarkable or special, but still cool.

Something About Him is a series I've been hearing about for a long time. I've wanted to read it for a while and finding 0.5 for free on Amazon was an immediate must download for me. I was excited. I love a gay romance and this seemed to be a damn good series.

Bryan and Jase are two army men, friends. One has a crush on the other. It seems really great! Until it ends up the other is straight and it's the whole is he isn't he trope with a sweet ending, sickly sweet enough to make me need fillings.

I was. Really excited to go into this. I really was. But the trope itself of one straight one gay, with the possibility of the straight not being straight is so overdone. Ellis has some good writing talent, and that's shown throughout 0.5 but I just wish they hadn't gone for this one damn trope.

First of all, it's pretty annoying. Authors of gay romance seem to think if a gay guy crushes on a straight guy, that's it! Game over! The gay agenda has won we converted a straight! Honestly it's more crushing in silence and being really annoyed you keep falling for the straight guys.

Other than this one horrible trope, this is really good. I wanted to read more and gladly kept turning pages. Unfortunately, I feel like the ending was too sweet. I get it, it's erotica (sort of), it's romance, we want a happy ending, but I feel like a heart breaking ending would have been so much better for this. It just fell kinda flat like oh. Okay. They're in love. Despite this whole thing going on that was hinted, that's not happening now?

It was a bit of a disappointment. I might go on to read the first book in the series, but at the moment, I'm not too keen on that idea right now.

Voto: 3.5 stelle.
Breve, ma carino. Un prequel che racconta in tempo reale quello che nel volume 1 è solo riassunto, l'amicizia di Bryan & Jase, la loro chimica e l'attrazione, le dinamiche intercorse mentre erano in servizio, prima del congedo.

This was a great beginning of what could be. Jase and Bryan were best friends in the military overseas. Bryan was gay and out and Jase was still confused of his sexuality, but felt he was straight and unhappily married. Jase had experimented with other guys and enjoyed it, but never could take that last step. Being Bryan and Jase were so close, Bryan would continually kid Jase about meeting behind the dumpster but with no response from Jase, then Jase makes that final move with Bryan. An experience they both shared and wanted to continue, but within a month they would be going home. Neither knew if they would ever see each other again. They made good use of the time they had left together! After getting to the states, within a month Jase would be transferred to another base in another state and Bryan would be discharged home. Would they ever see or hear from each other again? Their futures were uncertain even though they did have feelings for each other. Will they ever get a chance to act on how they felt? This is an exciting beginning of two lives that are maybe meant to be! Can't wait to find out❤️

This is the beginning of Bryan and Jase's story, where it started. Jase had experimented when he was younger but is adamant that he's straight, Bryan is very clear about his sexuality and that he's attracted to Jase. Finally Jase gives into his feelings and the two get together but soon it's time to leave, one going to another base and the other being discharged.

I love this author's books and this was a great tease to their story. The author lets you feel what they're feeling and you just want to know what's going to happen. I can't wait to find out what happens to them, will they get together? Will they go their separate ways but stay friends?

A prequel to Bryan and Jase's story

This is the story of what brought Bryan and Jase together.
These two men served together in the mid-easy for a yer. During that time their friendship grew into respect and passion for each other. This all lead up to a final week of leave where passion turned to ebbing love that was twarted by Jase's horrifying wife.
Overall this was a rewarding novella to Ellis' continuation.

I love the prequel into the full novel that is to come. Once again A.D. Ellis shows that it doesn't matter the gender of the couple but its what they over come to be together. Great read as we look forward to the full novel.

Short story introducing Bryan & Jase. It was good. Pretty typical in the closet MC who is in denial about being gay/bi and the other MC being completely out. Look forward to seeing what happens next.

It's Just You

Jase and Bryan meet while in the military. Jase knows he is gay and doesn't hide it. Bryan is married and denies being gay. Somehow neither of this prevents their mutual attraction. Definitely a prelude to the next book.

This is a short read. It's the introduction to the Something About Him Series. It is m/m. It's the story of two men, Bryan and Jase, finding each other while deployed. One is hiding his sexuality, while the other is open about his. Read to find out about these two and their friendship.

20 page short story that is prequel to book.

I find it hard to rate short stories, because we don't get enough information about the characters to understand their motivations. Jace has issues and baggage and it's a mystery why Bryan would want to be with him even temporarily. I probably won't read the book now, but perhaps will get to it in the future.

I have read books by this Author before. The Torey Hope Series which I absolutely loved but those were an M/F so when I heard about her writing an M/M I was more than a little intrigued. This is a short read introducing you to two of the main characters, Bryan and Jase. I downloaded for free and you can too. It is definitely a good way to see if you would like the full length story that I know is available because I have also downloaded. I enjoyed this introduction so much that I have to read more.

Jase is married, I am not even going to repeat her name because the woman is a heartless b....... Both Bryan and Jase are in the Army spending long lengths of time away from home. Bryan does not hide who he is meaning Jase knows he's gay. Jase on the other hand is in complete denial.

Bryan has dreamed of being with Jase for so long he knows nothing will ever happen. He is happy to remain friends. He believes that once they are both back home, he'll never even see Bryan again. What first turns out as a long standing joke between the two of them becomes reality. Bryan can't believe it's happening and it's good that he stays grounded because Jase quickly remembers where he is and who he is, leaving Bryan angry and upset.

When Jase eventually plucks up the courage, he apologies to Bryan about leaving him standing wondering what the hell had just happened. He doesn't expect what happens next. It' explosive, it's hot and it certainly sets the sheets on fire. As much fun as they were having together, the feelings were becoming stronger and all that it does leads to a whole load of complications.

After their time away, the time comes to say goodbye. God that was hard to read, I wanted the happy ever after for God sake not goodbye but it's only the beginning so I am off to read what happens next in Bryan and Jase's life. I am almost sure with a wife like that it will not be an easy ride.

I would recommend to all lovers of M/M Romance and it is absolutely FREE to download.

This is a great introduction to Bryan and Jase's story, I cant wait to read on-wards to see what happens next. Bryan is gorgeous in this, after pinning away for his straight married best friend. Then to learn Jase may just have some experience with guys before. Their time draws near where they have to go their separate ways, but things happen as Bryan's flirting pays off.. I look forward to reading more of their story in the next book..

For a short story this was very well fleshed out. Except for a hea and on page sex, which I'm hoping will come the continuation of Bryan and Jace's story, I didn't feel cheated. I'm looking forward to the next chapter of their story.

A quick introduction to Bryan and Jase. Friends serving in the military, Bryan doesn't hide his attraction to Jase but Jase says he "can't be gay". The signals are mixed until Jase give in to his true feelings.
