Silly is just the word for this book. I really enjoy Gerald Hawksley's picture books, and would have given this four stars if his poetry had been more consistent. Nonetheless, this was a fun book, with cute colourful pictures, repetition, humour, and a plot that I think kids can relate to. And the kindle book comes with all sorts of goodies at the end.

Just as the description says, this cute and silly rhyming book tells the tale of Doctor Kangaroo and his sick patients. This is a great read aloud story for parents, grandparents and caregivers to share with little ones.

The illustrations are simple, yet super colorful and absolutely adorable. There's a picture on every page - something I don't often see in children's eBooks anymore. The vivid graphics, combined with the engaging story, make this a book that children will surely enjoy.

The additional jokes, puzzles and "Monkey's Jumping on the Bed" story at the end definitely add to the value of this book. Well worth the download!

Animals Sick, What to do !!

The animals are not doing well, falling ill from different maladies. What should they do? Who do they call? Why that would be Doctor Kangaroo, he can cure the blues.

Children will enjoy this book with illustrations to keep youngsters entertained while listen to the clever rhymes of Doctor Kangaroo as he makes his rounds. This storybook is wonderful for beginning readers and a treat for all. Included are questions and answers, puzzles, and the tale "Five Little Monkeys".

Various animals get sick and call Dr. Kangaroo to heal them.

Full of cute rhymes and animals with strange maladies. The Kangaroo doctor heals all and even himself in the end. The book ends with some jokes, and the author/illustrator's version of monkeys jumping on a bed.

While the rhymes sweetly match the art, some of the ailments are a little strange. The doctor heals all the illnesses the same. This makes the story pretty silly but I suppose it is supposed to be.

A short and simple. Is a fun read for kids and I think will leave them smiling.

It was okay

The rhymes are clever and questions at the end are dorky funny but I didn’t like that animals who were sick got better because they put a bandage on their head and slept. I think the lesson is for children to go to bed when they are ill but it doesn’t address the root cause which leaves me feeling a bit dissatisfied.

Cute and funny children's picture book on how a Kangaroo takes care of his patients. Most of the short story lines rhyme but does fall short in a few places. The book contains a few extra activities. I look forward to reading it to my grandkids.
