The Bhagavad-Gita, the great ancient epic of the Indian philosophy told by Lord Krishna to the brave Pandava warrior Arjuna, who was in the state of mental bewilderment, when he was supposed to fight with Kauravas, his enemies, on the battlefield of Kurukshetra in the year 3101BC. IN the novel 'Geetambari' the author has made every effort to transmit the divine message of Lord Sri Krishna, through beautiful scenes and their background, personal dialogues between Lord Krishna and Arjuna and all the relevant characters that provide a vivid spectrum of the ancient people and their lives, their costumes, different ways of behavior accompanied with mutual conversations and background of different social and political conditions, their prevailing caste systems, religion, the conflict between Kauravas and Pandavas, the military arrangements of both the armies, the surrounding abounding nature but with a complete focus on two stable characters Krishna and Arjuna, which has made this novel a visual panorama.

I was graduated from Pune University in 1983. My father, late Mr. B. D. Kher was also a prolific author who was the recipient of many national and international awards including Soviet Land Nehru Award, Maharashtra State Award.

I have been writing since past 22 years. So far, I have 10 published works to my credit. All written in Marathi—the books have received tremendous appreciation from the readers and critics alike. Some of my novels are translated in three other languages. I am also the recipient of 5 prestigious awards.

I also had an opportunity to work in Indian film industry for 10 years and thereafter I worked as a Program Director for 2 years, for a TV channel.

A great book it gives us the great message of bhagavatgita in a different way.. reders will never get bored a great book....


खूप सुंदर पुस्तक भगवतगीतेचा अर्थ, त्यातील विचार अगदी वेगळ्या रूपात मांडण्याचा प्रयत्न लेखकांनी केला आहे. भगवतगीतेला कादंबरी रूपात मांडणं सोपं नाही परंतु हे अवघड काम लेखकांनी सुंदररित्या पूर्ण केलं आहे .....

A must read in this human life - उभ्या आयुष्यात हे पुस्तक एकदा तरी वाचायलाच हवे

कांदबरी स्वरूपात गीतेचा गहन विचार अत्यंत सहज रित्या मांडला आहे. आपल्या अस्तित्वाविषयी रुची निर्माण करणारा हा ग्रंथ आहे
