Dave Ramsey is a prophet to those who are struggling with debt and/or want to be rich but would settle for being financially stable. It's clear that this is a large group, given the popularity of Ramsey's radio show and books. After reading THE TOTAL MONEY MAKEOVER, It's easy to see why thousands flock to Ramsey for advice.Ramsey's principles are simple and straightforward.Everything you need to begin your path to debt pay-off and wealth is outlined in this fast-read book.
I bought this accidentally, thinking it was Dave Ramsey's actual book. Big mistake! This is so poorly written it is difficult to understand. It seems as if English is not the author's first language, as often the verbs are used incorrectly with the subject. It also feels like this person does not agree with what Dave Ramsey's book is trying to teach. I get the sense that the author finds the subject dull and incorrect. They should be paying me for reading this drivel. I will now go and buy the book I meant to buy to begin with. This is 30 minutes of my life I can't get back.
This speed read edition was badly written and speed edited, or maybe the better description would be badly written with no editing. This is not worth reading. Go to Dave Ramsey's site. You will get a better explanation than this summary book provided.
Looking for financial help, although I live in the UK and some of Dave Ramsay's advice does not apply wished to see his approach. This book gives a quick over view to see if it's right for you.
This book reads like it's been run through Google translate with no proofreading. It's extremely hard to read as awkward words have been used. Just buy the proper book by Dave Ramsey.
When they say "speed read," they mean speed read. ...5 minutes. It is short and could have been learned through a google search. Its ok, but not what I was expecting.
The book got the idea across but the language is broken at times. To the point of making it difficult to read. I would say you could just google a synopsis of the Total Money Makeover fundamentals and if you want more then buy the book.
Debt is dumb, cash is king. Financial decisions don't just come down to running numbers. It is very important to be on the same page with your spouse about money.
